  1. Buy a capital letter and Go Mustangs!!!
  2. I counter your Tennessean with Fearless. He says Huntingdon over Perry Co. http://miva.jacksonsun.com/miva/cgi-bin/miva?FEARLESS/index.mv

The rebels were 5-5 in 2004, 5-5 in 2005, then 9-1 2006. Pot meet kettle, kettle meet pot. Tell the musicians on the band wagon I said hi.
  4. Well when I played we had very good/athletic teams w/ great team speed and we played teams who had perfected the veer and it used to give us heck. I would rather defend a 1 back show anyday instead of the veer..... Holder 158 carries 1,437 yds 9.1yds./carry 21 TDs Thompson 90 carries 747 yds 8.3 yds/carry 6 TDs Both come out with 1st team. Looks like the Mustangs are a 1 horse show to me. Yeah Right.
  5. Field is awful. There is a middle school game tonight too. Maybe with a little sunshine and wind it will firm up a little. The helicopter is unavailable. Had to send it to Colorado to chase some balloon.
  6. What time and where? Do you need any help?
  7. Huntingdon ran it on a couple point afters against Union City. I called it the "Wild Stang". I think Huntingdon has the Mustangs to run it. However, keeping the QB in does give the impression they "MIGHT" pass.
  8. I think that first play was the best thing that happened to us all night. H had the classic let down situation going there. Big game last week with a huge comeback, big game next week against a non district rival that has owned us for a couple years, and a game this week against a team that you "should" beat. #16 rang the alarm bell about 5 seconds into the game. West Carroll is good. 16 and 5 could play anywhere. 24 is a tough cookie, and very smart about who's hands to put the ball in. The fullback is one of the hardest runners I have seen all year. Again H's depth won the night. I haven't seen WC's schedule, but they might go 9-1. Good luck the rest of the way War Eagles! Mr. Mustang you have to understand Black Ops. Every one was expecting a dry out at 1830. The secret is to get in and get out before they even know your gone. No worries abut the boss. She was away making deals with third world dictators. By the way do you know if Benton County requires a flight plan? If it is a requirement a low flight to avoid radar will be required.
  9. I am not really concerned about past results in this series if there is even one. I am much more worried about Friday night. Looks like there may be a wet track at Paul Ward stadium. That will really limit both teams passing game. Looks like WC has a bevy of good fast backs and a QB that can get to the edge also. WC's coaching staff is real familiar with what the Mustangs will do and will no doubt work all week on how to stop it. Granted knowing how to stop the Stangs and actually stopping them are all together different things. I am looking forward to a hard fought game. I am confident that WC will play hard and hang with the Mustangs early. I am equally confident that the Mustangs depth will begin to take over and they will win going away. I wish WC a great hard fought injury free game. I wish them many wins, just not any against the Mustangs.
  10. In the higher levels (college and pro) I think the face mask penalty has been changed to all face masks are personal fouls witch means 15 yards and automatic 1st down. No more incidental calls. After last night I am assuming high school still has the incidental rule. Another call I did not understand was the horse-collar tackle on the fullback going into the end zone. My thought was that was a personal foul also. Huntingdon declined the penalty, which the had to do to get the TD. However, if it was a personal foul it would have been enforceable on the kickoff. The kids on the field reall played their rear ends off. The Huntingdon trainer really made her paycheck last night. UC has some really big fast players. #'s 56, 27, 28, 12, 4 stood out to me. I really don't know what #53 was thinking trying to advance H's last kickoff to UC. He must be really fast for a coach to put him in the second line to receive a kick off. He got a good pop for his effort though. Speaking of kick offs. Huntingdon had a good strategy last night. Kick it hard on the ground and AWAY from 27 and 28. Second half kick offs were great with the bobbles. UC's kick off strategy---boom it high and deep. When it comes out of the clouds it will be wet, slippery, and hard to handle. Mr. Mustang will you head up the "Send Swenson to Spain for a Kicker" fund. I've got the first $5. That will at least get him to Clarksburg.
  11. I heard the same thing! Up to 20 guys out. All the starting backfield, 2 of 3 linebackers, and the center. All have been isolated not to spread it. Anyone showing symptoms can't play. Backups will have to step up big. This is a big distric game. The Tigers have looked tough in the first two. I hope we can eek it out.
  12. Bad coaching? Are you serous? I would say the football on the ground 3 times lost that ballgame. Milan is as tough a team as they come. If you give up turnovers to any team they might well beat you. if you give up turnovers to Milan they darn sure are going to beat you. I was very proud of the Mustangs this week and last week. The size difference of the lines of Milan and Westview was tremendous. Huntingdon proved that they could not only play with the Dawgs but for turnovers could have beaten them. Mr. Mustang, I might need an alibi or if you know a good lawyer you might want to contact him. It seems a helicopter was appropriated from Navy special operations for a hush hush mission. If anyone asks I was with you all night.
  13. I was on a roller coaster once. However, it weren't nothing compared to this game. Holder did an outstanding job. However, in my opinion Thompson may have been the key. He was slow to start, and ran almost vertical in the 1st qtr. As the game went on he got his pads lower and lower and took the pressure off Holder. I believe another key for H was the the passing game. The first and second series Westview's safetys could have reached across the line and tapped the o line's helmets. And even though they weren't complete, the attempts down field backed them up a step. The O line play was good too. Westview's penetration was limited. Westview was big too. This game had to convince the Mustang's they can block just about anybody.
  14. A football on the ground will always PO coaches. The offense looked fair otherwise. I did see the tailbacks leave their feet more often than I would have liked. Fullback busted a good one up the middle. I think he would have scored on most teams. That Washington kid flat ran him down. On a side note, the TCA chain gang needs a lot of work. George Russel was on site to conduct a clinic after the scrimmage. He was working on dropping the down marker and beating feet when I left.
