IMHO, Tennessee has too many state champions in all sports. Football is the worst. The privates have a state champion in a division that only has 11 teams in it. Baseball doesn't need 4 public school divisions.

I have a question for you. If there is a dispute on how many pitches were previously thrown and how much rest a kid has had, who do the coaches take the dispute to? The umpire? How is the umpire going to know if the pitch charts are correct or not? The umpire is being asked to rule on something they have no knowledge of. This is going to be a mess.

Question, do you count warm-up pitches in the total? I mean if a kid warms up for 15 minutes and throws 40-50 warm-ups....just saying. And as far as number of batters faced, that's kind of iffy, sometimes a pitcher throws 1 pitch sometimes 10. I guess you could average. Like I said, this is going to be a mess, all in the name of "appearing" to be concerned with kid's health.

I predict this is going to be a mess. Like others have said, who's going to keep the pitch count? Either coaching staff has a vested interest in "fudging" their counts. Base umpire? No way. Maybe, a third official to keep pitch counts and count coach's warnings.

Only one in probably a million have a chance to make millions of dollars. So, what difference does it make if some kid throws on 1 or 2 days rest?

That is completely untrue. Hixson offered to move the game to Hixson on Friday, but Marion Co. wanted the complete gate and complete concessions if it was moved. And, they wanted all of both next year at their place, too. Get your facts straight.

There is a particular decorum to be observed prior, during and after the playing of the National Anthem. The practice of the "stand-off" after the Anthem is disrespectful and should be dealt with as such. If you don't understand, talk to a veteran.
