Maybe Donathan needs a blog to expound upon it, but I'd like to see the Football forums be about football, not car wrecks where no one got hurt, in fact there is a whole lot of silliness and off topic material that should be transferred to the open discussion.

Let me teach all of you a new word: Nepotism. Mr. Williams the AD/principal would have to retire under most county policies for one of his offspring to be the head coach....I don't know about Shelbyville.

Don't be ignorant yourself. I've spoken to Taylor and know enough about Shelbyville to tell you without question that He could have continued as coach for as long as he desired...

I'm no fan of the private schools, especially the one created as a direct result of integration of public schools....but your post and accusation is out of line. USJ is probably guilty of some recruiting that can't be proved (which is like speeding when no cop is around to ticket you) but this is an administrative problem with an unfortunate result for those young men who gave there all.

Success at the Jr. Pro and Middle school level doesn't mean success in high school. You/Dekalb needs to consider there opponents at all levels and the quality of coaching, as well as the quality of the opponents coaching.

Unbelievable. RESPONSIBILITY. Lets spoon feed the little kiddies to prepare them for life. If ANY high school kid can't pass high school, its usually (99.9999%) the fault of the kid and his parents. No head coach in the state can magically motivate a student to desire academic excellence....I'm sure next thought will be "sit them down for bad grades", that might work until the losses pile up and the "sit" (ie. fire) the coach for lack of performance. If and kid wants to go to college, then the responsibilty of there PARENTS & STUDENTS is clear...encourage hard work in the classroom, discourage the notion that athletics is the "free ticket". It isn't. Athletes and there parents are responsible for balancing the academic and athletic demands placed on these children.

Heard from a BGAster today that the HC should be named next week....No name was offered to me.
