I turned the game off after the 2nd quarter to get some sleep...the networks have no concept of time....The Eagles weren't playing most of the big guns. Midway through the 2nd Madden and Michaels pointed out that the Koy Detmer was the QB and the entire offensive line was #2's....This game was meaningless to the Eagles and it showed. I don't agree with the philosphy of sitting your players for entire games.

Exactly, quit trying to lay blame on the coaches who did participate and who took the time to nominate and vote.....Responsibility seems to be a popular word now-a-days...so stop trying to defend the irresponsibility of the coaches who didn't participate.

As it happens, I think the AP all-state team is a crock. I also know how the selection process for all region teams etc...works...Its a crock.. As for the BIG JOKE...Graham Clark of Dobyns Bennett got this association rolling so why don't you email him and tell him what a joke it is. You'll find his email on the tnfca website.

I do believe a coach who is a member should be able to cast his vote via email...smail mail...or fax....Which means you need to have nominations complete by the end of the season and final vote/talley complete at the end of the thursday night meeting.

I'll tel you why. The flaw isn't the process or who does vote...the flaw is the coaches who choose not to participate and ###### off the loyal fans who expect little johnny rotten ###### from podunk high to be on the list.

How is any all-state team truly credible? What one voter is able to see all the potential candidates? How about we create all state teams based on stats only. Top 3 RB's, Top 3 QB's, etc.... Someone would surely complain that the team is flawed b/c team A runs the ball 97% of the time which doesn't allow the obviously superior QB to strut his stuff. Once again. Complain to your coach of choice. ITs his fault.

Some of these guys have bashed Rankin so long that they can't help but continue....No one in 14 years has presented credible proof of recruiting etc...and they won't.
