Riverdale's whole defense if very impressive so far. The front line is so young (no senoirs I think) but could be one of the best in the south. There linebackers are smart and can hit. The DB's have not really been tested, but I think if they were they would shut a pass attack down (judging by the way those DB's play on offense). Another thing, most coaches in the mid-state know that RHS usually has a dominating front 8 on defense, why not try to pass on them? Even if you don't have a great passing game, you have to try. Can y'all tell me, what are the opposing coaches are thinking?

I know I haven't seen many other defenses, but after rewatching the RHS Lincoln County game on TV, that defense is just sick! Is there any better in the state? If it is let me know. I'm pretty sure that they will get scored on later on in the season but not too many times.

1. BHS Killed RHS...... When the Bands Played!! BHS band was the bomb. 2. Maybe BHS' band director should be the football coach, because the band director knows how to keep the crowd interested. 3. I don't think those teams wanted to play Riverdale, and anyway do public schools play private schools in the reagular season? Riverdale has played Brentwood Academy, MBA, and other privates in pre-season games (and they ran over them). I just think he would like to go out of state and prove that Tennessee is a great high school football state. Since some people say that RHS is the best (and yes right now they are at the top) let's take the act on the road (out-of-state) and see how we match up.

I think you might be 1 off, after the 1994 season (15-0) they went 4-0 before getting beat by Baylor 21-7. So I think the record is 19? But then I could be wrong too!!!

For the Murfreesboro sports followers (and Rutherford County) I don't know if this topic has been talked about but what if Murfreesboro still had the one high school (like central)?? do you think that it would dominate football?? or any other sport of that matter? do you think that it would be too much talent around for one school, too many coaches...? are all the district games back to back for all teams? anyway i think thats a slap in the face. if this rule is because of david price, that is a coach saying i dont think my team is good enough to face him!!

i would love to know how the girls from shelbyville, newman and fuller were overlooked for ms. basketball? are they seniors? i have seen them play and they would be my mvp's of the year, but how did both get overlooked. i would have expected at least one.
