Amber Benjamin- Coffee, Krystyle Horton- Riverdale, Angela Phillips- Oak Ridge

No one knows who has the best Sophmores yet. That will be determined in the next 2 years. Both Cookeville and White Co. appear to be loaded. A parent of a kid in Coffee has told me that they have 4 sophmores playing a great deal and I know they started 3 Sophmores against Warren Co. So they appear to have a solid group as well.

Beech is a very good team. I really think it's goin to hurt them not playing in a great district though. There is no way they would have that record in 7 or 8 AAA. If they had to Battle Shelbyville, Lawrence Co., Cookeville, Riverdale, Coffee Co., Oakland, and White Co. night in and night out they would be much better. They would still be a great team and might win 7AAA,and might finish 2nd in 8 AAA but they would have atleast 3 losses in each district. Don't get me wrong, they are very good, I just think they would be even better in 7 or 8 AAA although their record would be worse.

It's goin to be a real interesting race. Cookeville will finish #1. Riverdale should finish #2. The tight race is for #3. Will it be Oakland or White Co??Both are 3-3 in the district. White Co. beat Oakland at home. Feb. 14 Oakland plays host to White Co. I think it finshes CC-1, RHS-2, OHS-3, WCHS-4, LHS-5, BHS-6, Warren-7. Dist. Tourney play in game could have Riverdale vs. Warren Co.(easy win w/out Pelham), Oakland vs. Blackman( BHS beat them at Smyrna), White Co. vs. Lebanon (WOW!) This Could set up CC vs. WC and Riverdale vs. Oakland. Going to be interesting down the stretch.

Oak Ridge by 20 +.

It seems like everyone is goin through injuries this year. Lawrence Co. had a big injury to Holt. Tullahoma just lost one of their post players. Coffee has been playing without Buchanan and had point guard out for a while before Christmas. Wilson Cent. lost 1 of their gds. for the season before Christmas it seems like everyday someone gets hurt.

It seems to me that the lower teams in these districts are getting a lot better and that we could possibly see some upsets come tourney time. Blackmon and Warren Co. both could pull off upsets against the top teams in 7aaa. Warren County killed Tullahoma and White Co. only beat them by 13 at home. Blackmon has already beaten Oakland once although it didnt count as a dist. game because it was in a tournament. Lincoln Co. played Lawrenceburg much tougher than they ever did last year and the same with Tullahoma at home against Coffee Co. who had just beaten Riverdale. I also think Lebanon is a team that will prob. finish somewhere between 4th and 5th and is a team that could beat some people. I will be an interesting Feb. and March

You may be right but Riverdale would beat Tullahoma by more than 13, esp. at home.

Think more players leave because of family jobs and that sort of thing rather than being unhappy with a coach. How bad is Holt injured?

Shelbyville is 20 pts. better than anyone else in the region. Can they be beaten? yes. But they are by far the best team! I think Lawrence Co. and Cookeville are in a close race for 2nd. I think Coffee Co, and Riverdale are battling for the next spot with the ability to beat both LC and Cookeville. White Co. is right after those 2. I think from there it is all 7 AAA. Oakland, Lebanon, Blackman, and Warren Co. before you get back to 8 AAA and Franklin Co, Columbia, Tullahoma, and Lincoln Co.

I think as it stands now Cookeville is the best team in the district and with 3-0 dist. record has positioned itself nicely. I think Riverdale finishes 2nd and off to 3-0 record has really helped themselves also. I go with White Co. 3rd even though they are 0-2 because both games have been on the road and against top 2 teams, they could still make a run at 1 or 2 if Cookeville or Riverdale goes in a slump. I think Oakland finishes 4th and could upset some people. I think Lebanon goes in at 5th with Blackman 6th and Warren Co. 7 th. Dont be surprised if there is an upset in the District tournament this year. I have went blank.... where is the tournament this year??
