In the Marshall Co game it was the same crew we had had all week. In the Championship game the crews were mixed.

Well said, one error, a close call, a key hit make all the difference in the world. There were 7 teams capable of winning the championship. Marshall Co. got a call on obstruction at third that led to a run on a ground ball next batter allowing them to beat Greenbrier. We made a throwing error that allowed Covington to go ahead 1-0 early in the game, Greenbrier dropped a throw to the plate that arrived ahead of the only run scored in an elimination game. A very evenly matched tournament.

It was sarcasm. The strike zone was very consistent for both teams throughout the game.

The strike zone for Marshal County stayed the same it's just that the multiplier system of 1.8 made the zone larger for Goodpasture. That was agreed upon by the TSSAA when the multipier was inacted. You have an great team and a good coaching staff. Don't tarnish their accomplishments by such nonsense excuses.

Go to the schedule/results for both teams and see the difference in level of competition that GPS played and JP2 played. Lots of quality wins for GPS and not a very tough schedule for JP2. JP2 and FACs are the only teams in the D2 state that I have not seen. I predict St. Benedict wins the winners bracket and the loser's bracket final as Baylor and GPS. GPS and Baylor are dead even in my book but St. Benedict is on a mission. They were the toughest offensive team we faced.

I think it shows no class at all to refer to a group of teenage athletes as chokers. You are talking about kids out there working their tails off day in and day out to be the best that they can be. If they fall a little short of your expectations and loose a game they don't need to hear or read remarks like this. Please realize they are beating themselves up inside and do not need some adults beating them up on a message board. Let's talk about the game, it apparently was a great game to be a part of.

Umpires are assigned by TSSAA and cannot be from the association either team uses during the regulat season. If you worry about the umpires affecting the outcome of the game you are taking yourself out of the game mentally. I don't always agree with the calls but I do not believe I have witnessed a deliberate attempt to change the outcome of a game.

Greenbrier is a talented and well prepared team. Plays the game with class. Larry and Julie get the most out of their players. Hope we both advance on Friday.

Mr. Everything, I don't know who you are or where you are from but it is obvious you are pretty well struck on yourself by your screen name. East Robertson has every reason to be proud of their success this season. I don't see a lot of bragging by them just a lot of pride in their accomplishments. If you persist in your negative, sarcastic comments you migt find your posting privaleges come to an end.
