AC wins games because they are extremely well coached, are unselfish and have discipline. I don't mean to imply that they don't have talent. because they shoot and handle the ball very well. But, most importantly, they represent AC with class.

You know, its got to be frustrating if you are from Kingston. This is a very proud athletic program that has not been able to beat AC at anything in the last couple of years. So relax, Yellowjackets, these things run in cycles, who knows what next year will bring. As far as the MVP thing goes, it doesn't matter, AC won.

AC is not afraid of competing with "athletic superpowers" such as Bearden or Farragut. We do it every fall or spring when we scrimmage Farragut in football and do "pretty good". Over here at AC we "dream" about being as "great" as those AAA powerhouses in Knoxville.

What a great rivalry. It's a shame that things degenerate to physical violence. I'm sure the administration does not condone what happened and will take steps to see that things remain under control at the tournament. The last thing Kingston wants is a black eye.

ELA- do you see or have you figured out if there will be any effect on the upper claasifications as a result of this? For example, you state that the 1A upper limit will probably move up somewhere around 400, does this mean that the upper number for 2A, 3A and 4A will also increase?

Will there be an overall jump in the cutoff numbers for all the classifications as a result of the multiplier or just for the bottom two classifications?

What was Rhea County's record under Fitzgerald? Was he pressured out of his job? I thought he did a good job, thought his team was well coached.

You can't designate an age. It's all relative. Some guys are done before they even get started, they didn't have it then, don't have it now, and won't ever get it. On the other hand some guys just don't ever give in, they're workaholics. They stay on top of the latest coaching changes. They're people persons who can relate to any and all kinds of people, and most importantly---they win. So I say you can't name an age.

Curious to know who Coach Shattuck is going to have on his staff. Is he going to keep any of the present staff or is he going to be allowed to bring any assistants with him. Good luck to him and the Clinton program.

Heard that Clinton's search committee has narrowed their search to the top 3 candidates for the principal to interview. I'm guessing that Shattuck and Shultz are on the short list with another coach from Florida. Heard from another source that McKamey was still in the running.

Add to the list of players who should have been recognized- Jordan Walker- LB from Anderson County. I can't believe he wasn't listed in the honorable mentions.

Anyone heard anything on who's in the running for the Clinton job? I had heard that they were going to try to have someone in place by the first of the year.

Fence huggers are part of the game. If you coach, get used to it, it's one of the negative aspects of the game. The only way to tolerate it is to win, but it will never go away or get better. I've come off the field after losses and wins and had to listen to negative comments from both parents and fans. You can't make everybody happy. Clinton is no any different than any other community. The only way to contain it is to win.

An article in the Clinton paper lists the people who applied, it doesn't say who will be interviewed. A committee will select a group from the applicants to be interviewed.

Don't know why but Wilson's name is on the list, as is Jim Swafford and Lee Atkins(ELA ???)

The list of candidates includes former West coach Billy Wilson and former Catholic High coach Mark Chait.

Can you be more specific about Coach Mckamey's qualifications. Why is he the most qualified?

Strawplains- before I accept your opinion on "replacing" Carroll as serious, may I ask if you know something first hand about him that makes it necessary for him to be replaced? Or maybe you are "qualified" to speak on football matters in general. Would you please give us your "credentials". Otherwise, I think it is rather chicken---- to call for a man to resign.
