  1. You're showing your bias. I can ride the fence and typically defend the Chattanooga area teams as not actually being as bad as people make them out to be BUT articles like this are great for reinforcing the so called "hate all things Chattanooga" mentality.
  2. Evidently the three day lull between region and state has left Ward with nothing better to do but gripe about Coach Jordan and belittle everything not Chattanooga.
  3. Shortstuff, I would recommend deleting every post you've just made in this topic because when I was 15 I hopped on here and made the very same mistake you have. Coach Cobb is going to call you out in front of everyone and make you feel like a fool, which is what you're making all of Clarksville look like when you run up and start beating a dead horse (making a new thread about Clarksville's unfair advantage and using terrible grammar all at the same time). My advice to you would be to leave coacht message boards to us graduated wannabes/have beens. As coach Cobb has been quoted while quoting teddy Roosevelt, "walk quietly but carry a big stick".
  4. I just talked to a very reliable source and was informed that no wrestlers at CHS have ringworm. Hope that calms your fears Pin4thewin.
  5. I'd be willing to bet that it's just a rumor. Referees check everyone at weigh in and if there was ringworm on any wrestler they wouldn't be allowed to participate.
  6. Ooohh. Haha dennis' crew can cook a mean burger. When Dillon is on the grill they seem to reach the peak of perfection, he does a pretty good job with the tots too. I haven't gotten a chance to go in there much this semester. Thanks for reminding me about the buffalo burgher though.
  7. Not sure specifically but I do think that ruby Tuesday's has them.
  8. Porker's is alright but i don't feel like it's even the same style, plus there's probably no stray dogs mixed in with the pork. That's probably why excel is so good.
  9. Glad to hear that you enjoyed it. Are there any places in the Chattanooga area that are comparable or better than Excell. Excell holds a special place in my heart so it'll be tough to beat.
  10. You know we're AACSB accredited and recently got some sort of Carnegie award. Woo hoo, movin on up!
  11. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> No I'm not his daddy, I'm just another Clarksville High wrestler that graduated, graduated a year ahead of Mr. Dial, which gives me wisdom beyond his years. Haha that and I live in Chattanooga and don't want to see another Clarksville High wrestler or coach getting quoted in the local paper in a less than glorious light.
  12. Alright Jon, you gotta let it go. It really doesn't and shouldn't matter. When you argue your point over and over and over and continually cut people down because they may not have as much knowledge or brain power as you, you're giving them a reason to dig their heels in and not budge at all on the topic. Let it go, it's over, as far as I saw you weren't even at duals so there really shouldn't be much for you to argue about. This topic has been flooded with you and 2@140 (creagan i do believe) butting heads back and forth. It's turned into a less than typical Bradley vs. Clarksville match and quite frankly you're giving the Bradley folks and everyone else that reads what you're writing a reason to dislike Clarksville even more. Heck we made the Chattanooga Times with our apparent advantage, which, whether it's real or not makes Clarksville High look bad. I'd be willing to bet Coach Jordan probably never reads this garbage but i know Artie and Coach Cobb (CHSCOACH) do and are probably shaking their heads when they see some of the stuff you write in the name of Clarksville High, hence the name IBLEEDPURPLEANDGOLD. Let's try to be objective on the board regardless of what other people say or write. That's the last I hope I have to say on this topic. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  13. so did anyone make the short trip to excell this past weekend?
  14. That looks like the lady that was washing her car in "Cool Hand Luke".
  15. i'll just throw this into the east, middle, west classification debate. East Tennessee classification. I'll quote some notable info from the page: "The major cities of East Tennessee are Knoxville and Chattanooga." "East Tennessee is a name given to approximately the eastern third of the state of Tennessee, one of the three Grand Divisions of Tennessee defined in state law. East Tennessee is the portion of the state located within the Eastern Time Zone and four counties in the Central Time Zone, namely Bledsoe, Cumberland, Marion, and Sequatchie Counties (however, the current legal definition of the Grand Divisions places Sequatchie County in Middle Tennessee). East Tennessee is noted for its mountains, particularly the Great Smoky Mountains portion of the Appalachian Mountains, but in fact has many and varied landforms. East Tennessee is also known for being the birthplace of country music." I guess Nashville stole East Tennessee's claim to fame and now they've got wrestling and us Middle Tennesseans are trying to take that too. No wonder it's such a heated debate.
  16. You should see the mat that CHS warms up on in their building. It's about a 30 year old mat with holes worn into it. They'd be better off warming up in the main or auxiliary gym. So i wouldnt consider that a huge advantage.
  17. I don't know about everyone else but from what I saw the officiating was very spotty. Some good officiating, some very mediocre, and a few bad calls. I know I saw some pins called that weren't pins and some bogus stalling calls. Bradley won it all, which was expected. Mt. Juliet has improved vastly since I graduated (05), Indy wrestled well against Bradley and had an extremely close match with Clarksville. Soddy and Clarksville got back into the top 4, even though I know both teams wouldve rather finished 1st. Overall I saw a bunch of good wrestling and look forward to individuals.
  18. Then why does chattanooga claim and glorify them? In all reality the ref was terrible, Cleveland is a good team but they aren't head and shoulders above everyone else. That claim still lies with Bradley. Good luck to all the teams in semis.
  19. Being a CHS wrestling alumnus i know the people working it try to keep the stairs clear. Don't get mad if someone asks you to go to the bleachers if you're standing on the stairs watching matches. I think it's a safety issue? I guarantee there will be plenty of people break this rule. /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
  20. I didnt technically live in Fredonia. I live off Albright rd. You're a few years older than me so you probably remember better than I do. I just remembered a Big Daddy's next to Nicholson's and a Big Daddy's 2 somewhere on highway twelve or was it Bull Daddy's. That was a while back. I don't think i've ever made a stop into Pappy's but i thought that was even farther down Hwy 12. Tyler Ziolkowski
  21. I've lived in Clarksville all my life and never remember excell being called big daddy's? i thought that was a bar near the dump on highway 12, now called the beer box i believe. Coach you should go in there and eat so you can get "the cultural experience". Try it on a weekday around lunch. Interesting crowd to say the least.
  22. at 125 that's Hayden Jordan, Jacob's younger brother. At 135 Bagget's first name in wren
  23. i dont know if ya'll saw the number of responses that article received, quite a few to say the least. i think it would be safe to say that the author of the article is probably wishing he hadn't written it. the guy had pathetic points about why wrestling should be dropped at Oregon, not to mention outright selfish. i stopped reading people's responses after the first page mainly because i don't have the time to read them all but i'd say there has been a point made. i liked the response about how Nike should pony up some change and save the program.
