  1. Has Scott had any pre-season scrimmages? If so how'd they go ?
  2. I'm pretty sure Oneida has more top returning players than just Phillips. I thought they had 4 returning starters with significant playing time as well as 2-3 others off the bench who also contributed many minutes.
  3. So how did Oliver Springs do in the scrimmages this past weekend, any one know ?
  4. Paxton went on to be on the best team ever, in heaven August 14, 2006. She will forever be remembered by her family and friends. We love you Paxton.
  5. Paxton Carroll lost her life August 14, 2006 . She will always be remembered as the little girl with the big heart for Jesus. She always had a smile and had a open-ended love for basketball. She was a very talented player and will be sadly missed by her coaches and teamates. The OMS Lady Indians have even more to play for this season. THIS YEARS FOR YOU PAX ! .....1....2.....3......LADY INDIANS !!!!!!!!
  6. Oneida Middle School's Paxton Carroll, 7th grade basketball player, was involved in a car accident Friday night and is in a coma and on a ventilator at UT hospital. She needs a miracle so please pray. There is power in numbers. Pray also for her family and her cousin Katie Hughett who was also in the accident and is in UT having the first of several surgeries to come. I realize this is a high school message board and I have posted in the middle school board also but I know more Coach-T'rs view here than there. PLEASE PRAY FOR A MIRACLE

  8. Gee gads. All this hype and Oneida lost. Imagine if they had won this game. On a more serious note both teams actually played pretty bad. I don't really think that Chambers fouling out and remaining was a "Plot" to make a comeback because the outcome was determined by this time. The Ref should have taken charge....paid attention... and corrected the error. As far as the Coach knowing, sure he did, but he was also pretty stirred up over the "T" and had a lot running through his mind at the time. Quite sure there was no "cheating" going on though. I think everyone is just making a mountain out of a mole hill. AC won, OHS lost. THE END.
  9. How are the LC middle school girls team this season ? Record ? Kind of players ?
  10. What teams will be there? And does anyone know anything about them ?
  11. I must say despite the loss to the Kingston Lady Jackets I was impressed with the play of the Lady Highlanders. Coach is definitely doing some good things with these young ladies. Yea we'll take some thumpin's but at least you can see some fight in them. Keep up the good work Coach M and your Lady Highlanders too.
  12. Yea, Clarkrange beat Oneida, Yea, Oneida doesn't play JC. Who cares. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. My opinion is Clarkrange will win. In the end I very well may be wrong. The last time I checked pretty much everyone posting in here merely states an opinion as far as a prediction.
  13. So devilfanatic, just who do you think will win? I'm a bit confused from your first post this topic to the last. I havn't seen JC play this season but I do know some of the players , and there is no way the few I do know can compare to ANY of C'range's top 8.(Not all of JC's team just a few) Not saying they are bad just NO WAY near as good. I have had the pleasure of seeing C'range play on a couple of occasions this season and I agree with Kaz and C'range is on a mission. With one of the best point guards in the state in Cravens, one of the best shooters in the state in Ramsey, and two post players that know how to handle the paint, not to mention a legend coach in Rogers, well this just could be the formula for another Gold Ball. As long as they can stay out of foul trouble and stay healthy and motivated WATCH OUT ! As far asJC's loss to Upperman..Yea they are AA but correct me if I'm wrong...JC was also last season and more than likely the majority of the players are still playing for both teams. JC need not let the A, AA factor be an excuse. I'm sure JC is an excellent team and good teams don't need classifications be excuses. None the less....good luck to both teams but my prediction is C'range will win.
  14. Another early meeting between 2 teams that go at it year after year. Yea...Clarkrange came away with the "W" again. Congrats to the Buffalo. Now keep in mind that Oneida is still working to "jell". Once the process has completed we hope to see a more complete team. The Coaching is there now it is up to the girls to pull together what should and could be one of the top teams to make one heck of a run for the STATE. Not to mention it is also a tradition for the Lady Indians to really step up during tournament time, although I hope we have a pretty successful season leading to tourney time. Clarkrange is a great team and may be the Lady Indians can handle them a little better on their home court later in the season. But one thing just might be for sure. When you loose 4 players like the Buffs will after this season it might actually give a Lady Indian team loosing only one player the opportunity to get a "W". That is a long time off so we need only to focus on the season at hand. Good luck this season to the Lady Buffs and Lady Indians. Maybe we'll meet at the Boro.
  15. QUOTE(philip2003 @ Nov 7 2005 - 04:42 PM) Dawgs State Champions 2005 basketball. Dawgs State Champions 2007,2008 baseball. Dawgs State Champions 2008 basketball. These stats may not hold up completely but i put these here to show everyone what kind of young talent is in the school. I believe the 2005 State Championship team was determined last season and it wasn't the Dawgs.
  16. Rumor has it that K. Sexton will not play her senior season. Something to do with the repeated injury to her ankles and several surgeries. So, Oneida has only 1 senior in M. Welch.
  17. Our Lady Highlanders will surprise some teams this season. With structure and discipline from our new head Coach we should see them head in a new direction. We may not see a instant or big change to start with but with a young team we hope things start picking up. GOOD LUCK LADY HIGHLANDERS !
  18. If you are familiar with Scott County they are located in the North of the county. The school on main st. If you are not familiar , they are approx 3 miles north of the Lafollette Exit # 141 off Interstate 75. Left on 63 approx 20 miles to hwy 27, then north on hwy 27 approx 5 min.
  19. Yea, what area is she interested in playing in. Where will or does she go to school now.
  20. Oh, and for everyone else and the question originally posed on this thread "How does it look ?"...... They're gonna do GRRRREEEEEEAAAAATTTTT.
  21. A lot has to be said for this group of young ladies that 1. Didn't have a very attractive season record. 2. Didn't win their regular season district title or their district tournament. 3. Didn't win their region. However they did win when it all mattered to make it all the way to the state. I believe this was the 15th appearance for an Oneida Lady Indians team at the state tournament. You never really hear a lot of hipe on here about the Lady Indians of Oneida but to be able to step up in the end as a Cinderella team with a lot of heart and make it to the glass house starting 4 sophomores and 1 junior and losing by only 8 to USJ that went on to make it to the title game......these girls are awesome. They will be working in the off season and hopefully they can go back again to the Boro and take another shot at it. To be one of the elite 8 is an honor. Everyone is proud of your accomplishments Lady Indians and we look forward to next year when you can build on your accomplishments of this year and shoot for those titles that slipped away this year. The team is only loosing 1 senior that had very limited playing time, and this coupled with the group of talented newcomers coming in next year should help the team reach next years goals in your basketball careers. Several of them should be able to contribute to these goals. In closing.....WAY TO GO ONEIDA LADY INDIANS !!!!!! thumb thumb thumb
  22. Wishing luck to the Oneida Lady Indians. They definitely have the talent and potential to get the win. Such a young team accomplishing as much as they have should be an eye opener for teams the next couple of years. Also, they are keeping school tradition alive. To all players...bring your A game and win a trip to the Glass House.
  23. AMEN Written Word on the clock keeper comment. That was absolutely one of the craziest things I have ever seen. This was a REGION CHAMPIONSHIP game and that happening was stupid to say the least. I would also like to comment on the officiating. But first, I by no means am saying the officiating altered the outcome of Coalfied winning. I must say though that these were (ALL GAMES THIS REGION) some of the worst officiated games as a whole I have ever attended. I thought that once you made it to region the officiating stepped up a little. Some of them need to keep their day jobs at Wamplers Sausage farm or wherever they say they hold down a job. Apparently Baldy didn't have a job because he was there calling games EVERYDAY ! You know there is gonna be trouble when the refs continually have to have a conference on the floor during time outs or dead balls to discuss whatever the conflict was......every other time.
  24. Nice post Sportsmom...Congrats to Whit on making All tournament region team. Congrats to the Lady Jackets and everyone else on the all tournament team.
