  1. Yes I sent text messages. Yes I was concerned because she wasnt at school and had perfect attendance. Yes I made a mistake and crossed the line of a teacher/student relationship. Yes I cared for her like a father. Another mistake. You can criticize all you want, those are the mistakes I made. The lies start ahen the mother claims the messages were sexual. They were never that. Had they been sexual they would have been on the news. I never ever tried to get her into my car. That is a total lie. Did I make mistakes? Yes. I hope that all of you out there that are doing all the bashing will stop. Me, My family and my career have been hurt by this. Nothing else happened. I am guilty of having bas judgement and that is it. Believe me I am paying the price. I can no longer be around the sport and the kids that I love. I want to thak coacht for shutting down the other threads. I wish he would wipe them out all together. In no way am I saying I did nothing wrong I just diddnt do what the media is making it look like I did. If you don't believe me then please keep it to yourself. My wife wanted to get on here and do this but I told her no, I will do it myself. I love kids and only want to see them reach thier full potential. I crossed the line and I am sorry. Coat...I hope you will manage this thread as you have done the others.
  2. Phillip Simpson is the best wrestler in Tennessee when he comes to visit his family.
  3. What time are weigh ins? Also, we are wrestling on Thursday so 103 will be 106 on Friday and 107 on Saturday.
  4. I have to say something about our Little Sisters. We could not make it without them period! They ran the Kenwood takedown Jam, the Antioch Jamboree, our Invitational, The McGavock Invitational and our duals. They are irreplaceable! Without them I would not have had the success that I had at Kenwood the last 8 years and I definitely would not have been able to move both tournaments to Sycamore. They are the backbone of our organization. And the young lady in charge of them at Sycamore is irrreplaceable also. She is Jesi Siefert and she and our girls make it happen. Thanks to all the Little Sisters and Matmaids across the state who donate oodles of time for our sport. It could not be done without you! If you don't believe me just look around at the table workers at the state tournament in February.
  5. OK. Maybe he wrestled FOR Red Bank as a freshman. I think that was it. Then he transfered to SD to finish out his great career.
  6. Hamm, Great choice on collegiate wrestler of the month. I had a chance to spend a week with Kevin at senior nationals in Delaware back in 2001. What a great young man. I remember him as a freshman in the finals. That was back in the day when we all wrestled together on 6 mats at McClellan. I think he wrestled somebody from Red Bank at 119. I remember looking at Robert Jemison sitting next to me and saying that Kevin looked like he was going to be something special. What an understatement. I believe that he went his entire senior season without getting scored on. The only points people got were escapes. Someone can correct me if I am wrong on this. But if it is true, and I believe it is, then what an awesome feat. I wonder how many others can say that. And its not like Soddy wrestles some slouchy schedule. Well anyway, I am glad to see him chosen as wrestler of the month. I can only hope that my boys grow up to be young men with such character and substance.

  9. We are now getting 2 pounds on Saturday at the Sycamore Invitational.
  10. 6 Memphis teams will be at the Sycamore Duals on Dec. 21.
  11. Hokinsville withdrew. White House is coming.
  12. No. I am Coach Masters at Sycamore High School. I do not know hespinnedref. Anyway, the rule is as I stated. It is a rule change for this year.
  13. I believe it should say that teams will get 2 pounds on both Friday and Saturday. That means 103 will be 105 on both days.
  14. Ironman. I have a call in to Coach Dawson. I have added White House to the list. MacDaddy. I slapped Todd and be here at 8am. Also, congrats on Ricky.
  15. Clarksville Franklin Kenwood Heritage (out of Maryville, coached by Phil Cottrell) Northeast Northwest Springfield Dickson Fort Campbell, KY East Literature Fairview Montgomery Central Rossview Sycamore White House Weigh Ins at 8am, wrestle at 9am. We are usually done by 7pm. There will be a 1 pound weight allowance.
  16. Clarksville Northwest Northeast Franklin Hokinsville, KY Fort Campbell, KY Kenwood Springfield Dickson East Literature Fairview Montgomery Central Sycamore Rossview (I think)
  17. Toughest Duals... 1. Cleveland 2. Christian Brothers. Top teams from TN, MO, and AL. 3. Sycamore which moved from Kenwood. We have some of the toughest teams in TN. Including Franklin, Clarksville, Collierville, MBA, Christian Brothers and Kenwood. Fort Campbell and Christian County will bring some tough competition from KY. Last year Soddy was in the mix but had a conflict. Hartselle, AL got a new coach and Cleveland had a conflict. It will still be a tough tournament though.
  18. I think the oldest might be the Hillwodd Invitational. I think it started at Bellevue High before moving to Hillwood. Or it could be what is now the GP West Invitational. I believe Coach West had it at Maplewood, Whites Creek and Brentwood.
