Who is hurt for cookeville and how bad? I think if cookeville is healthy then they win. They have a way of winning ugly games and from what I hear Lincoln doesn't score many points so this puts the Cavs right in it. If they are in a close game they usually find a way to win.

Cumberland county faked xtra point to take a 28-27 lead with less than a minute to go at Mcminn. Mcminn then kicks a 54 yd. field goal with 8 seconds to go to win 30-28 in 2002

Since McCallie had to cancel their 6-way Saturday for part of their punishment. Will the other teams that didn't violate a rule still scrimmage Saturday and if so where.

I don't know who you have been talking to but crossville has absolutely no size. They were huge a couple of years ago, but all of that is gone. They will be as small as I have ever seen them.

TDCMAM- what do you mean new offensive philosophy? Is Joslin going to put the ball in the air. get out of the single wing, throw more than 2% of the time? I don't see it happening.

I agree with the observer that Mcminn is tough place to play. They have their own officials association in Athens and are one of very few schools that use them. If they win their home games and steal a couple on the road in the region then they will be right there again!!

The winner of the Cookeville - Coffee Co. game will win the region. This region will very competitive for the 4 spots. Lincoln has come back down to the rest of the region. 5 teams will be vying for 4 spots. Could come down to week 10 when Lincoln goes to cumberland co for the 4th spot. Cookeville will be in the playoffs and probably hosting at least 1st round.

Usually hear alot about the McMinn Co. Cherokees on here. They finished 2nd to Oak Ridge last year. But given no respect this year? Why not or are they being overlooked.

The rule states 15 school days to get ten days. (pads or no pads it matters whether instruction is going on), plus 2 interschool scrimmages. which means that if you do a three way, this would count as your 2. Greenback did not violate the rules, in fact they could have practiced one more day. The key word there is plus.

Cumberland County as always will be slow, but will make up for it by being small!!!

I think it will be hard for a team to go undefeated in the region this year. I think tiebreakers will definitely come into play. I know you had better not finish 4th this year because riverdale is loaded. Region 3 went 2-2 in 1st round against reg. 4. could do the same this year or better. region is getting better. Watch out for Cumb. Co. they only lost about 5 starters out of 22.

Same old story between white co and cumb co. jets win impressively 31-22. Score would have been worse if not for a bad play call right before the half that resulted in an interception return for a td for sparta. jets had about 400 yds. rushing.
