  1. sportsradiotn..is that you? haha i dont guess i should say your name but i played basketball at south fulton for a few years...if its you...you always called me JT. im just at school and thought id see what was goin on with south fulton athletics..lol. well anyway..write back and tell me if its you...
  2. don't let the larger, more supportive crowds in kentucky fool you. what does how many fans that attend the games have to do with the level of talent in each state? kentucky high school is a different brand of basketball...not a better one. they're more physical..and their referrees allow them to get away with more. i've seen just as much of each state..and played a whole lot of kentucky teams. and i just don't see why kentucky's just automatically considered better. look at all the players the state of tennessee has playing college ball recently. look at the ncaa's right now: mario moore, julian terrell, jason holwerda, earnest shelton..lee humphrey before florida got upset..trey pearson redshirting for a murray state team who was put out in the first round..and that's just off the top of my head. but..i'm not tryin to argue...
  3. hahaha..whatever man. I just figured there had to be SOME reason as to why you would mention those three schools. I've just never heard any of them mentioned. And I don't see how those three schools are related in anyway. But ok. And dude...you ain't gotta get smart with me. I'm just trying to let people know what's really going on...so there aren't any ignorant rumors. And yeah...suggesting random schools that you wonder if he might go to...will start ignorant rumors.
  4. no. and i have no idea where in the world those schools came from...
  5. ummmmmm....I've got to disagree. LeBron has a LOT more of an upside than Carmello. Both are GREAT. But...I mean...have you seen Lebron???? Their shots are about the same. LeBron is more athletic. He can jump straight out of the gym. Both are strong. LeBron has better vision and passes. I think LeBron handles the rock better. If I've got the number one pick....gimme LeBron.
  6. Boston College has also contacted him.
  7. ok..first off...he's not going to UT Martin. And secondly..that last comment was the most uninformed statement I've ever heard about this situation. He was NOT cutting classes. And Coach Barnes was definitely not going to run him off the team. He tried his best to get him to stay. Playing time obviously wasn't the problem. He would like to be closer to home...but that's not all of the reason for the transfer either. He was perfectly fine with playing the point. He enjoys that. It wasn't that he wanted more shots...he just...wasn't crazy about the system at Ole Miss. If any of you watched any of their games...I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Trey's game is more of a wide-open game. He can run a set offense anytime...but...i think everyone could tell that their was a LOT of restrictions in their offense. He did what he was asked to do though. As for where he's going...he's not completely sure. It's not definite that he's going to Murray State. Just give him time to make his decision. I just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that nothing negative led him to his decision to leave Ole Miss.
  8. why do people talk as if they know so much about everything?
  9. I'm not making any prediction. But to say that Mitchell lacks skill in every direction...is to be a person who is uneducated in basketball. Do some more homework on them before you say anything else.
  10. I don't know if you typed that wrong or if you just meant to be wrong about it...but more high school players can dunk than can't? um...that's really really wrong. But I mean..maybe you were just kidding. I hope you were.
  11. You said that the 3-point line has caused people to lose their concentration and take bad shots. I agree...but I really like that part of the game. I love the mental aspect of it. The players who are actually good..and who know what they're doing...won't let the 3-point line affect their game. It makes it all the more challenging. As for the dunk...if you can dunk...then go for it. Why not? I'm like..MAYBE 5'10..I can't dunk. So don't think I'm trying to argue for it because I enjoy doing it. I just know what a dunk can do to an opposing team..and how it can change a game. As for you saying that you will keep on talking to people about it because that's the only way we can hope for change, how many things have been TAKEN AWAY from the game? The only changes that will be made by future generations will be additions. Personally..I don't think there will be any more additions. I think the game is set for a loooong time. But...you have your own opinions.
  12. mhalionboy...I'm pretty sure I disagree with everything you've said about this. The dunk is GREAT...for people who can dunk. I HATE to see people attempt a dunk in a game...when they know good and well that they can't dunk. The dunk is great for a team though...it can intimidate a team when they see a guy throw one down hard on them (especially a high school team). And as for the 3-point shot...you keep saying it's cheap. WHAT are you talking about??? You act like it's easy or something. You contradicted yourself by saying shooting was a part of basketball. Well....there you go...if you're a really good shooter..you can get 3 points a lot of the time. There's nothing cheap about it. If you're GOOD enough to make the shot and help your team...then you've EARNED those points. And John Wooden was a great coach...and is a great basketball person. But could some successful football coach from 30 or 40 years ago come back and be a successful coach? Probably not. Games change. The very basics of them stay the same...the basics that we all love. BUT...the games do change. Now...you can either complain about how the game is played and talk about how YOU would have it played. OR...you can go outside and work on your outside jumper..and maybe even on your hops. And I'm talking to everyone when I say that. The game IS what it IS...you either love it like I do...or you don't. And don't try to get on me by saying that I don't know how it used to be. I love watching tapes of Bob Cousy, Bill Russell, Tiny Archibald, Jerry West, Pete Maravich (even though he's more like our times), Oscar Robertson. I grew up watching Bird, Magic, Isiah..and of course like everybody..Jordan. I love basketball how it was...and I love it how it is. You can't change it...you either love it..or you don't. 13. Ok. But you act like you're going to see me soon or something. If that's the case..I don't understand why you'd ask if I was still at MSU. But anyway...you can email me at justintaylor_22@hotmail.com if you want. cause I still don't have a clue who you are.
  14. hmmm..that narrows it down. haha What school are you with?
