  1. Going by what Station Camp people say and what reality is now are two different things. If Columbia wins it will be a huge upset. Bottom line is Beech will have to self destruct for Columbia to beat them. The Lions may have a good offense but Beech has a great team. They will score no doubt but I will be shocked if Beech doesn't score much much more. Have fun.
  2. I think Beech once again is the leader going into next year. Led by Hurd and Carter means instant offense. Hendersonville will be better offensively but looses some size and experience on the lines. Mt Juliet will be tough because of Perry however, they loose a very very good experienced backfield. Chowbay will have to step up and be a strong leader. Portland, i think they get better but will never have enough to win the district. The single wing is hard to defend and they have some skill coming up. Wilson Central has some good skill players returning. Not sure about their defense but I dont think they drop off too much. Lebanon always has talent but they have no focus. Depends on their new coach. Station Camp has a ton returning and should be better on both sides of the ball. They should be very strong and experienced in the lines. Gallatin, question mark on the coaches. Need more discipline and need to find some skill players. Schedule should help them this year. Having been to Trousdale several times, this game will be a packed house especially if both perform well early on. They don't possess the depth but they have solid coaching.
  3. kwc, I just figured blowback from some Whitehaven fans who have been very loud on the other threads.
  4. Nope I don't have to prove a thing. The burden is on Beech. Come friday night, you too will be a believer, mirrorthief.
  5. I hope the Portland game does get moved. Stewarts Creek, could be a good time to play the up and coming school since there will be a majority of underclassmen playing the first couple of years. Big question mark right now on just who will be the head coach and what they will run on offense and defense. Trousdale Co, this is a huge gate game. Gallatin will be predicted to win due to the difference in size of the two schools but it could also be a huge trap game for Gallatin. Football is not a joke in Hartsville. They will circle this one on the calendar.
  6. 1. Webb 2. Ensworth 3. Gordonsville 4. CAK 5. Beech 6. Friendship Chr 7. Covington 8. Maryville Sorry, just my opinion
  7. Beech will beat Columbia by 2 or 3 touchdowns unless they believe their own hype. Northeast and Jackson Northside would have beaten Columbia.
  8. Gallatin will have another very tough year. Coaching staff will have a tough situation with the lack of skill position kids. They have really got to coach up the next 2 years.
  9. If he wants to play runningback, and admittedly I don't know, and if he says to a certain school. Hey I want to play runningback or I am going somewhere where I can, then don't they give him that shot? I know sometimes the kid chooses different schools because of the position he will play rather than what he is recruited for. Personally I do not know. I just know that if he is that high in the rankings on offense and doesn't play that much on defense then trying to get him to play on the other side of the ball is a little crazy. Then again I remember Dan Kendra coming out as the top rated QB and ended up playing TE at Florida State. Hurd looks like a tweener to me, a cross between a receiver and runningback. But I am no expert.
  10. I don't rank'em or recruit for them, I just am telling you what is going on. Deal with it Cubs.
  11. I won't be cheering for him when they play Gallatin but I think it is awesome that a kid from Sumner County could possibly be ranked in the top 5 at runningback in the country next year. I definitely see him as an offensive playmaker and not a defensive guy. When Nick Saban is sitting in the Beech office waiting to meet this guy it says something. ( I know somebody in the office ) Franklin spent most of the day at Beech and he has official visits planned for other top teams nationally. He is a stud no doubt.
  12. Having never seen Northside's stadium, it is what stuck out initially based on last weeks Beech game. Beech is not known for large crowd support yet had quite a few fans this past week. It was not intended as a backhanded slap at Northside just an observation. I am sure it will be a good game, Happy Thanksgiving Slapper.
  13. Moving the ball on Beech is not near as difficult as stopping their offense. After watching Northside on youtube, not sure if Beech will not have a decisive speed advantage. However, this should be a fun game to watch.
  14. By the looks of the video, ya'll better bring in more seating because Beech will fill that up in no time.
  15. The leaders according to the local paper for Hurds future service are Florida and Ohio St.
  16. Reguardless of who wins this game, I will be pulling for them versus the East side of the bracket.
  17. Fact...it was Northeast not Northwest...
  18. One was on the sidelines after getting flushed when they were deep in their own territory and it resulted in a 1st down. I believe that is the one you were referring too. One was to #6 right after the same #6 was hit in the backfield and lost the handle on the ball. Maybin on the next play hit him over the middle for a 1st down. He completed another one down the homefield sideline. I think it was to #18. He had 3 completetions though. I would say for about 75 yards.
  19. Heard coach Perry on the radio after the game last night. He was very serious about how bad they were beat last year. With several back, look for a lot of revenge talk in their locker room. I bet this is a lot better ballgame. Don't know if they can win but the score will be closer.
  20. Ohhhh that is very interesting!!! I could see that!
  21. Actually Maybin completed all 3 of his pass attempts. #20 came in to give NE more speed at the wideout with Maybin playing the slot. I was at the game and Maybin was by far the fastest guy on the field. Not saying Hurd wasn't good but as of right now Maybin broke several long runs and could not be caught. Hurd had one run over 25 yards but several over 10. It is all irrelevant though. Beech has a very good team and that was a total team effort last night. Alec Meadows was very good in the game and I thought the big fullback had some nice runs. Another big boost is Dorian Carter. He is a very good back that they trust to let Hurd rest some. Jackson Northside will have their hands full next week.
  22. Hold now I never made excuses for what Brentwood did to Gallatin. I simply explained that Gallatin played very well in the first half on defense. Gallatin had very very little yards on the offensive side of the ball in either half. You were reading into something that wasn't there. If Gallatin would have had their most explosive player on offense playing and their starting Qb playing, Brentwood would have still won but it might have been a little closer due to the bad play of the Brentwood offense or the good play of the Gallatin defense in the 1st half. Your Qb got sacked 4 or 5 times which did not happen to another team all year in a complete game for Gallatin. Finally, your coach stuck to the ground game and ya'll pulled it out. I mean playing your starters until late in the 4th quarter to run up the score when Gallatin could not muster any offense throughout the entire game...hey classy move on your part. Gallatin was dead awful this past year no doubt but the mighty Bruins did not look so mighty in that first half against the worst Gallatin team in 40 years. Personally I hope you get the pants beat off of you. But you are correct, playing on homecoming and the fans coming late and not supporting your team is not good. I do commend you on not being one of those.
  23. My pardon clsand99. Fr, So, Jr and Sr usually denote classes so I misunderstood. Thanks for the clarity.
  24. Gallatin's td did not come on the freshman!! It was because the Qb got sacked again and fumbled. Gallatin did an excellent job in the first half of stopping Brentwood. They just had very little offense with a couple of the starters sitting out due to the previous week so Gallatin had several underclassmen playing multiple snaps. Brentwood played well in the second half and maybe they had an off night. However, I still feel Mt Juliet is better than them. Also not impressed by their fanbase either. Late coming to the game and seats not full. Then you get mistruths on here. Typical. Go Bears!
