FRA hung with the big boys last year (third in state) with the exact same pitcher they have this year.

Lindsay Cavarra is really good, but my vote goes to Jayme Wamsley.

Congratulations to Kristin for being Tennessee's only female soccer All-American. She deserves this award and will carry on her soccer career next year at Florida State! Kristin: be proud of what you have accomplished!

When flashgordon says DI he is referring to NCAA Division I not club soccer. Kristin Garman is going to Florida State next year (ummm...they're pretty good since they're ranked top ten in the nation) and Ashley Price is going to Kentucky. FRA has shown their ability to play with teams outside of A/AA by putting up ties against Brentwood and JPII at the beginning of the season. Though I'm not saying that FRA would win, the argument was would FRA give them a game and I believe they would.

Congrats FRA!!! You girls are awesome and played your hearts out. Kristin, Ashley P., Jenny, Christa, and Ashley L. you guys were an awesome class who gave life to a horrible FRA program as freshmen. FRA will miss y'all!!! Good luck to Kristin, Ashley, and Jenny with your college soccer futures.

Franklin Road Academy--A/AA state champs two years ago and state runner-up last year. Most soccer people know who they are.

Kristin DOES play in Tennessee right now. She is a senior at FRA and will go to Florida State next year.

I don't know how anyone can say anybody except Kristin Garman. Kristin has verbally committed to Florida State. She has been all-state at forward and sweeper and those aren't even the positions she is going to college to play (outside fullback). She is the real deal and is one of the best players to EVER play in TN.

I'm also going to say Ken McDonald is the best coach in Tennessee. Yes, I also played for him, but his success and his ability to relate to each of his players is unparalleled by any coach of any sport. He not only has had success at the high school level, but he was SEC Coach of the Year twice at Vanderbilt. Coach McDonald is a great coach and a great man and if you have talked to him you agree.

FRA by 13 or 14. They played better and were the better team.

Yeah 4 Loretto players fouled out. They fouled out because FRA started holding the ball with 3:30 left and Loretto fouled FRA as soon as they got the ball for the remaining 3:00 of the game. The fourth quarter lasted an eternity because of this and FRA stepped up and hit its shots from the line.

Recruiting??? Just because people want to play for him because they want to play for one of the best (if not the best coach) in the state, does not mean that he recruits. I know people that have sent their kid to FRA to play soccer for Coach McDonald because he is a great coach, not because he recruited them. His reputation speaks for itself and an uninformed person should not tarnish it.

As for the Goodpasture/ Boyd debate, we played Goodpasture twice and Boyd once, and there's no doubt in my mind that Goodpasture is better. Pieroni is one of the best (if not the best) pitcher in the state and facing Goodpasture's lineup is awful. If Goodpasture even plays decent they will win the state.

If we are talking young pitchers, Baillie Lott from FRA is an 8th grader who has led FRA to third place in their district (Behind Goodpasture and Ezell).

Coach McDonald is the best coach. He took FRA who was horrible, and in three seasons made them state champions. Not only this, but he is a great person, and his players love him.

In addition to Ashley Singleton and Laura Freeman, the Sting has 3 players from Davidson Academy, 1 from Father Ryan, 1 from FRA, 1 from Brentwood High, 1 from Forrest, 1 from White House, and 1 from Greenbriar.
