The odds are now stacked against the schools that are smaller. Sure you can have
great wrestlers at a small school, but it is very unusual to be "two" deep at each
weight class for the entire year. Competition from within is critical to produce
great wrestlers.
I'll guarantee you in this day and time, athletes from small schools are going to run
to other sports.
Region 6 will produce some great state qualifiers, however they are also eliminating at least 2 to 3 quality wrestlers with next years alignment.
There should be consistency with other sports, especially track where you have both individual and team competition.
