    Rankings

No, not yours......the one that had a longer list within each classification. Even the Eurosport rankings leave something to be desired. It can get irritating when you see teams ranked behind others whom they have soundly defeated during the year. The imbalance among districts and regions should be considered and understood that sometimes there are more than two strong teams that will unfortunately never go to regions and state.......that are certainly better than those who are fortunate enough to have a weak district and or region. There seems to be a "recency rule" that is applied with the Eurosport rankings, however even with recency there seems to be some selective memory. There is apparently a committee that decides these, which unfortunately creates some "friendly" bias. Fortunately and generally the number 1 team is certainly deserving......beyond that there is not much validity.......just irritation and bragging.

    Rankings

Where did your rankings come from? These are the closest to accurate rankings for A/AA. Looks like yours may be based on record only.......who knows. The Districts and Regions are so unbalanced......record and progression to State is not a true reflection of a team's strength. 1 Franklin Road Acad. 2 Knox Catholic 3 Chatt. Christian 4 Notre Dame 5 Chuckey-Doak 6 Columbia Acdy 7 CPA 8 Grace Baptist Acdy 9 Hume-Fogg 10 David Lipscomb 11 Jackson Magnet
  4. David Lipscomb High School is hosting a MS tournament on Dec 17. Entry is $100. Should be a great tournament experience. Register on-line and obtain information at www.fiscusconsulting/matcontrol.com
  5. David Lipscomb High School, a private christian school, is looking for an Assistant Wrestling Coach - anyone interested should call 279-6392 as soon as possible - must be a member of a Church of Christ.
  6. Is this still a preseason event or is it not happening this year? If not, is there another similar option on August 13?
  7. The odds are now stacked against the schools that are smaller. Sure you can have great wrestlers at a small school, but it is very unusual to be "two" deep at each weight class for the entire year. Competition from within is critical to produce great wrestlers. I'll guarantee you in this day and time, athletes from small schools are going to run to other sports. Region 6 will produce some great state qualifiers, however they are also eliminating at least 2 to 3 quality wrestlers with next years alignment. There should be consistency with other sports, especially track where you have both individual and team competition.
  8. Filed for a "hardship" transfer. Her dad teaches and coaches there and her younger sister is going there as well. Keeps them all going to the same games.
  9. Where do I find tournament information for the Fall 2005 season? What's available?
  10. You're talking about "mr. bootball" Laban Defreise? He doesn't even coach at a school. He's been fortunate to have good talent in club ball, hasn't had to develop players and honestly not sure he can.
  11. Haley Profitt, transfer from FHS(AAA) to Lipscomb (A/AA) as a sophomore. She's averaging like 3 goals a game in districts and 2.2 per game in regular season. She's scored in like 12 straight games. DLHS just shut-out CPA, she scored two and assisted on the other.
  12. What is it about this program that when it counts the most they find a way? TRADITION MATTERS From the time they are ball girls for a game....................until they wear the uniform for the last time.
  13. How did DCA beat FRA? Was it 2-1? And did FRA have a goal taken back for kicking it out of the keeper's hands?
  14. Farragut did have a defender on them when they were shooting.......but they just couldn't finish.....maybe an off night. They also took alot of "panic" shots which may also account for their not "finishing." Franklin played conservative in the second half which allowed more shots to be taken by Farragut, although several that were not very high percentage shots. Farragut is a good team, probably better than Hendersonville. Franklin's goals were scored or assisted predominantly by two Freshman and a Sophomore. See you next year.
  15. Uh, girl you need to read the posts, the game is over.
  16. You must have left the game early 4-0 FHS
  17. Leslie Lopez(zzzzoooooommmm) FHS Senior Forward
  18. Hopefully Franklin will be rested up from a brutal week of practice and weekend of soccer......... Healed up? That's another question. Undoubtedly, it's time for some to step up.
  19. FrankL, Depends upon one's perspective. As for mine and my family's........it is a welcome change. Our eyes were opened in a rather harsh manner. See you at the game. Kindest Regards to you and your folks.
  20. Recruiting is recruiting. It's ironic in FRA's situation that a great number of their younger players come from the same club team.....run by a couple of parents of of an FRA player. :justwrestle: Doesn't take away from the coach, he's first class.
  21. FHS pretty much had their way with them. Hard to tell since it was pre-season.
  22. Franklin and Farragut face off this weekend in Oak Ridge
  23. I could see them going head to head with Baylor. They have 4 or 5 phenomenal young players. Two of the, if not the, best Sophomores in TN and in Region 3. It will be fun to watch them and Franklin play on October 1st at JP2, I think at 5pm.
  24. chill Rebels915.......FHS will take care of business, "keep the cat in the bag"
