  1. So, whats the deal? How did the meeting go?
  2. Thanks, Greenman. I thought that Cwood played as hard as anyone and gave it their all. As I said before, Jacob Dixon was very impressive and showed a lot of guts. I wasnt trying to put down or bash Cwood at all, (although you seemed to take it that way, Superman28) I think they are a very talented team this year and have mass potenial. Petey Miller#47 P.s.-Superman28....there is such a thing as spellcheck on these forums, and stop living in the past man. Its not healthy. thumb
  3. Well, you ask him yourself what he runs, and by the looks of it tonight, he did pretty well. Had his almost 50 yard touchdown run where he outran all of Collinwood's secondary not been called back, he would have had well over 200 yards rushing tonight, but he got it done with 174 and 2 TD's. So, you can ask him what you want, but Im telling you now...he's one of my best friends (as are the other individuals I have mentioned), and I have witnessed all of them, MYSELF, run those times. And it seemed like yall assumed tonight, and I even told yall not to....
  4. How can you say that we're (loretto) is slow? Our tailback, Eli Fisher weighs 230, runs a 4.41 forty and benches 410. Our wingback/QB, Chris Beckman runs a 4.54, and our linebacker Nathan Creekmore runs a 4.43. So, we're slow? I dont think so. I mean, Im not trying to lash out at anyone, Im just putting facts out there. I will say this, C-wood's QB really impressed me with his quickness and moves. But, please dont say we're slow. Thats just assuming, and after all you know what happens when you assume.....hehe.
  5. Well, its like Ive said all along....those guys have talent oozing from their pores. The only thing that will beat them this year will their attitudes and theyre effort. If all they gave was 50% tonight, then that is not a good sign at all. They are really going to have to pick it up the rest of the season. I love watching these guys play, but I was more than dissapointed tuesday when they played LC. They really need to step it up and play to the best of their abilities. I have seen these guys at their best, and I feel confident saying that no one in the state can compete when these uys give it their all. I just hope they learn from this and move onward towards greatness in the season.
  6. well, one of the coolest dunks Ive ever seen was last year at Giles County when Tyler broke away on a fast brake and did a windmill from just about the freethrow line. I almost crapped my pants. Seriously
  7. I have seen Richland play this year and I was very impressed. Murdock and Moore are both very good ball players. I got to see them play Summertown and both of them had a great game then. I think that the Raiders are out to prove something this year, and so far they have proved a lot to me. My cousin plays for them, and he has been saying for months now that they are going to be hard to handle for just about anyone they play for this year. Will Hagan #15 is going to be an effective player for them this year as well (my cuz). He hasnt broke loose this year yet, but when he is on, he can hit anything from beyond the arc. I look for them do very well in their district. Good luck Will, Chris, Caleb, and the rest of you guys. Keep playing hard and good things will come your way.
  8. Well, I attended the game last night and was a little dissapointed at the game. I mean, LC played fairly well (with the exception of the hacking on T-Smith, that was rediculous) but their only player who impressed me was Dez. he's the only one who can take control over the game (it seems to me) and turn the tides. Unfortunately, they weren't playing someone like Bob's 3rd Grade School for the Blind.....they were playing Giles County High School. One player cannot, and WILLNOT beat GC by themselves. Dez played his arse off last night, but like I said he cant do it alone. Kit and Chris didnt show me anything except a lot of fouling and jaw-flapping. Daniel Brackin played well and so did Ben Lowery, but they just couldnt compete. Its that simple. GC has WAY too much for them to handle. Smith's impact on a game shouldnt even be questioned, and the rest of the team has the same amount of potential I think as well. Smith can have an off game, and then Shay might take over and have 20-25 points. And if both of them are off, then Kash steps up and grabs the reins of the game. Its a lose-lose situation when a team plays against GC. The only thing I think will beat them this year will be their own attitudes (if they have bad ones on into the year) and if they dont clean up their game. They looked very rusty and sloppy last night, but it was still fun to watch nonetheless. My hat goes off to the majority of the LC ball team, who played well. I plan on going to just about every GC game this year, so wneely, look for me, man. I'll be there. Later. Peace, Petey Miller #47
  9. Thanks, Butch. I really appreciate everything that everyone has done, said , and given to my family in light of this recent tragedy. I am literally speachless at the kindness of everyone who has been over at my house in the last 2 weeks with me and my fam. People from all over lawrence county and giles county have shown me what kind of people they are. And that is GREAT ONES. Like I said, the sheer kindheartedness and love that everyone has shown my family and I is just simply astounding. I cant express how thankful and gracious I am right now. The reason I havent been on at all here lately is because my brothers, my mother, and I had moved and we didnt have a computer that I could post on, but I plan on posting a lot more now that its b-ball time in tennessee. Butch, like I said, I cant fully convey to you how gracious I am for your thoughts and prayers and everything that you have done. Mom loved you to death, and she still does. I appreciate it more than you will ever know, Petey Miller #47 p.s.-thank you, buzzcut for your thoughts and prayers as well.
  10. I think that it oughta be a great game. We (loretto) have really grown up thanks to last friday's win and we look forward to nothing but improvement. LCHS has a very good team this year with their QB Boone Yokley and in their running back Brandon Kolsar. I think it is going to be a great battle and good luck to the wildcats in the rest of the season. Petey Miller#47 WB/SS
  11. I think it will be a great game. Both teams seem to be doing well. As far as I know, the scrimmage with Rogers and Collinwood went well, and the one with Richland went well also (this is just what Ive been told). Loretto had some bad scrimmage games with a lot of mistakes but we came out last week and demolished Scottsboro Academy 30-0. Our defense has really stepped up a lot. We look to make it a good game. Good luck to C-wood in the season. Petey#47 WB/SS
  12. We (loretto) and Wayne County had a pretty good scrimmage today at lo-town. Wayne County came out and showed their prescion by running nearly flawless plays, but our defense really stepped up in the beginning of the game. On the first play of the game, we had a great pick. We had a bunch of forced fumbles all during the game and we held their star reciever down well. Granted, the dive was working great for them, but we handled that a lot better this go-around than last time. Overall, I thought it was fun and exciting, but the game was called short (that seems to happen to us all the time now. lol) becuz of a nasty storm moving in. But, nevertheless, what we got to play, was fun. I hope that we can improve in the upcoming weeks as much as in the past week. I wish Wayne County a healthy season and a good one as well. Peace out, Petey#47 WB/SS
  13. My heart goes out to everyone at Clinton. This is a real cotastrophe. I will keep everyone there in my prayers. Is it not strange how there have been so many people die within the past 2 or 3 years involved with high school sports? I mean, last year, we had a player's father die, and this year when we were at the scrimmage game in Parsons, a player form Parsons grandfather died, and the little girl form lawrence county died just the other day. I dont know about how many other people have passed, but to me, its just a big reality check to be around all of this happening so close together. Im not trying to be disrespectful to anyone at all, I just think I am kind of thinking about this stuff a lot here lately. Again, my heart goes out to everyone in Clinton for the loss. It truly is a tragedy. Sincerly, Petey#47 WB/SS
  14. My heart goes out to the Grinnel family and to the team. My girlfriend plays for the team and I know she has to be taking it hard. My prayers are with the girl's family and her friends. Petey#47 WB/SS

    Loretto ?

Naw, man. We dont have any home scrimmages at all this year. We were supposed to have a 3-way scrimmage with Waynesboro and Adamsville today at Adamsville, but they called us 30 minutes be4 we were supposed to leave and said they had already recieved 5 inches of rain, so obviously the game was called off. We play Waynesboro there on friday (if some other element doesnt prevent us from doing so) so, Im hoping we can get some real playing time in. Do yall have anymore scrimmages be4 the season or are yall done? If yall do, Id like to come and watch. Oh and what #, LchsRB4u, are you and how do you know Beau? He's like my brother. lol. if you want, my email addy is nitro213@hotmail.com if you have MSN messenger if youd like to talk on it. Peace, Petey#47 WB/SS

    Loretto ?

We looked pretty good up until the game was called short. We only got in 10 offensive plays and 10 defensive plays, but we held them to about 10 yards total on defense. On offense, Beau Whitsett had a run for about 25-30. I had a catch for about 15 and we had several small gains. Overall I think we looked good. Lilolme....dude, theres no reason for that. Just stop. From what I heard from Corey Cull, they made Lewis Co. realize they were in a game, and I congradulate them on that. I really wish I coulda watched that one. It woulda been fun. Anywho...we did pretty good overall. Petey#47 WB/SS
  17. How did Jack Hagan from Richland do, if anyone knows.....? (he's #69 to clarify that)
  18. Today at the scrimmage between the Loretto Mustangs and the Riverside Panthers, tragedy struck. Just as we were getting going in the game, an elderly man from the Parson's side stopped breathing. He was rushed to by many people (including my Mom) and given CPR. I dont know how the man is doing, but my prayers are with him and his family. Good luck to Parson's this upcoming season. Sincerly Petey Miller#47 WB/SS
  19. Loretto and Richland play on all hallows eve this coming year. It oughta be great

    Loretto

Coach Turner coached for us a couple years ago, around 94-98...about that time. I havent had the chance of meeting him, but I hear that he was a very good coach and a very good person. He coached when T Whitsett and C.J. Cirmones were playing. As for his whereabouts now, he still lives in the area, but stopped coaching a souple years ago. Hope that helps some.

    Loretto

Its "Living word"...i didnt say the were one of the best in the state. In fact, they arent really good at all. But, anyways...I think that Fairveiw will be very strong in the upcoming season. They may not have the almighty Cothran (as ive heard him called) but, they do have a huge O-line and every other department seems to be solid as well. I look forward to playing yall, it will be a great game. Someone said on here that we always seem to have a trick up our sleeve...yeah, we seem to. Heck, we might even have one for yall. As for us, we have Beau Whitsett and Seth Augustine returning on D. Thats it. lol. I know thats a lot of people gone, but we will definately be strong on defense when the time comes. SCRAPPY...you asked if the 2 jacobs are kin to the coach...well, John is his son, and Jerrod is his brother. Hope that helped you out.
  22. Another great player from "the burg" is Brooke Franklin.

Theres no reason for you to get on here telling me I'm stupid, when all I got is love for everybody!
