I am sure the fella (coach that got fired) is a nice guy, but temple does have an issue on their hands. I have to say that I heard months ago that Skogan was leaving just because of this kind of talk...what did he know or what did he see comin? Coach, you on here anywhere? Would love to know if you can fill us in on the missing pieces. Bet your glad you are gone now! Oh well. Fatchance has always enjoyed riling up the temple folks, but now the whole thing just seems sad, don't even want to start anything. sorry guys, but fatchance thinks it is going to get real bad for you all, hope I am wrong.

TNT is exactly right. IN checkin out my "sources" this dude must have some real inside connections, because what he said is what is the real word. The tssaa wind is blowin and it is headed for Highland Park and what I also hear is that they ain't in the mood for a temple song and dance...confess, lighter punishment, don't confess, then "it" is going to hit the fan. What fatchance can't get a solid word on is exactly what was done wrong, I know that the coach who got fired is in the center of the bullseye but does anyone know what the charges will be? Oh maybe we should just all wait and see it would all just be speculation anyway...but I do have to say I got some pity for temple and you hate to see stuff like this for the kids sake. a question. If the fb program gets in trouble, will that apply to the bb team as well, or will it just be for the one? one dude said the punishement would only be no post season for the fb team for two years, well what kind of punishment is that, it aint like they were goin to make the playoffs in the next two years anyway. Just wonderin.

ok, i heard from my cousin who went to temple but doesn't anymore that temple fired the new coach, can't remember his name but it is the dude who replaced skogan and beard, is there any truth to this? the dude aint even coach a game yet and he is already fired, that dont look to good. So, somebody please give fatchance the real scoop.

I don't think you dudes realize how bad it really is. you are being kind to say 2-8, they literally have nothing, no skill people, no experience, no coaching, (by that I mean no bodies, no experienced people helping the new guy can't remember his name) and he isn't the most expereinced fella on the block, nice guy, but green thats all). My nephew just told me that their only athelete just got kicked out of school and some dude who was suppose to play QB lasted 3 weeks at the school and his dad jumped ship right quick when he saw what was really going on. They will survive, don't anyone get all mad here, but a one win season, if they are playing anyone at all, will be doing pretty good adn it won't be grace, grace will beat Temple 21. Rebuilding can really hurt at times.

Maybe fatchance is reading between the lines but are you suggesting that the current coach is not all that good? that could be a big one come next week. Would temple be better with wadly? When you get to this point coaching can make all the difference in a team winning or going home. I aint paid all that much attention but isn't this coach like 24 or something?

The clemson dude makes a good point. I aint stayed on top of this this year, is there anyone in single A who has done anything like the skogan kid? 52 on one night and on one of the best teams in the State, and fatchance was right he was a finalist last year, so he has the consistency vote. But, I don't know who else is out there, so give me some numbers, what have these other single A guys done? sorry the thread on the boys 52 got closed, I aint sure why, didn't seem like anyone was goin off.

my cousin called me to tell me since i dont get to see none of the games anymore. Good point? it's like...no point. Ignorance runs rampant again. first, there aint no fine, second, as I hear it told temple was in contact with the coaches at pickett, and they agreed that if temple won round 2 in football they wouldn't come to the tourny. all of temples guys but 3 play football, and you can't go play a game with 2 practices. third the games don't count as loses either, although I think temple will lose a lot of games year and if they would have played they would have lost...but still, to get on here and spout off when you are clueless is the negative about the boards you should have to have an IQ before you are allowed to post.

I actually saw that game...temple was not very good, in fact they stunk, but skogan had 8 for 140, numbers anyone would only hope to have...fb and bb are not one person sports...of course you knew that didn't you.

Buffcoach, who do you coach, 4th grade girls? I aint no fan of temple, but I have watched skogan play for 4 years cuz I have invested interest in one of their rivals, and to say that he is overrated is just plain stupid. I called a friend of mine who works at temple and she said that the boy has over 1800 points going into this year...you think that is overrated, come on, don't speak about that of which you know nothing. Please don't get me wrong, I hate temple bb and probably for the same reason that people hate the NY Yankees, you just get tired of them winning and want to see a new face. I don't care who beats them 21st Century or Grace, just someone kick their $%# but, I do got enough sense to recognize talent when I see it, and the boy is good...really good.

Everybody calm down! You gotta admit a corner lot is ridiculous and how long they had a program? Five years or so? And still nothing? And I seen the guy sleepin, layin up against a house, oh yea, they have houses on their corner lot, a whole bunch of them! Of course the coach is going to say that they are focused and ready, what else is he going to say? I had to go to Chatt town today and thought I would swing by temple and watch a second of practice. I couldn't find their practice field, I thought they would be on the old soccer field but they were not, I just happened to drive by a corner lot and there they were...what a joke! They practice on a corner lot, not a field. This is a disgrace to football. Please, LV beat the crap out of this team, I swear if you watch the practice you think it is a joke, the team just wanders around this corner lot and they even had guys sleeping on the sideline...I am not making this up, temple will not win a real game the rest of the year. Sure maybe beat grace and upstarts of that nature, but there is no way this is a football program. Prediction: LV 28, Temple 6, The team with a field beats the team from a corner lot.

To call a late hit on that play the little skogan made was a joke. That was a football hit, and a pretty good one, at least channel 3 thought so, they even showed it to us in slow motion. Now, if you are the kids mama who got hit, then yea, you think it was late, but if you are objective, you say the ref was drinking to call that. Someone told me that Temple knocked some kids helmet off on a hit and the dude needed 30 stitches, is that true? I am a bit confused, when I watched temple they were a bunch of soft pansies, just liken to say they had a team, now they are knockin people's helmets off? Someone help me on this, any truth to it?

Sequatchie is going to be fine...my boys told me that everything that could go wrong, did go wrong...that happens often in opening games, young players, new system etc. Temple better get ready, cuz I think the indians are going to be angry and ready, and I think this will be templs' first game, so don't be surprised if the turnovers and penalties go to the crusaders this week. i don't know much about temple but they are not ready to step out of single a, not this year.

I gotta a question that you grace guys can help me with...why do yall hate temple so much. your coach went to a practice temple had with david brainard, scouting a practice? I think I am missing something, but you guys seemed to have something against them and I would like someone to explain this to me...I aint tryin to stir up trouble, I honestly just want to know why this is so bitter. Silverdale might just be the surprise team in the area. They played East Ridge to a virtual tie in a scrimmage, that is some impressive! John Allen is at it again, taking a nobody and makin them something. They will beat Temple, Valley and Basin and end up third in that region.

Don't get your panties in a wad, I aint saying he doesn't know anything, but I am saying he doesn't know everything. Remember, breadth of knowledge doesn't equate to depth of knowledge. I agree you can only be in one place at a time, so don't speak as though you are everywhere. I wasn't left out, I am old enough to be your dad, and for that matter, probably Gomabs dad. Ok. You are right, his rankings aren't perfect, but then you say, "but then again who is?" We aren't talking about people, "who is" we are talking about rankings. The rest of your post is babble, who cares how much sleep he gets, what does that have to do with anything? And maybe he shouldn't be doing the whole state, maybe he should only do those kids that he sees often, in his own area. No one asks him to do this, so if he doesn't get paid, or has to work another job, what does any of that have to do with the discussion? AND, what are Gomabs rankings???? "A celebration of high school basketball" or the opinions of one man about basketball in this great state? fatchance never said there weren't people who love his rankings, in fact fatchance never said HE doesn't love to read the rankings. fatchance does think that Gomab is not the god of Tn basketball and that he has criteria that tilt his rankings...that's it, not such a difficult thing to admit. So I do agree with you, let his rankings be what they really are...

The fact is you don't see all the kids but you rank them as if you do. No one else ranks them because they can't, they don't have the time to see everyone, but then again, neither do you, but that doesn't stop you. It DOES hurt the kids you rank low, the kids you haven't seen or only once... and people read this and make judgments. I have been at all star games where your rankings are put in the program, so someone thinks you know what you are talking about. Your arguement begs the question, you present a logical fallacy, if I give you an example, you say that I am just mad because "my guy" didn't rank as high. If I don't give you an example then you say, that you are right, because I can't give an example. You have framed the discussion so that you can't lose...at least not in the eyes of those who haven't taken logic 101. If you are going to do this, then you have to be responsible...how can you rank kids you have not seen, or seen only once? You know you do this, don't ask for an example for then we will have to fall into the former paragraph. There are those on here who are very impressed with your work, and then there are those who know better.

Dude, how can it be homecookin when refs are brought in from other regions to do substate games? The refs for your game with temple were from Knoxville, how is that homecookin, plus you guys got crushed so I don't get what you are whinning about, and that by an overrated Temple team, that wasn't as good as everyone thought.
