  1. Go RED DEVILS!!! It's been 9 years since the drama of 1994...oh the drama.......but now is the time!!!! We must keep strong, beat Millington, then (Bolton v. White Station winner), then head to mid-state to play VERY talented and well-coached teams, and on December 6th venture to MTSU, praying for help in handling a dominate LCHS team.....oh the last time we played them was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo crazy. Seriously.....good luck everyone!!! yeeeeeeeeehawww see y'all at Callis Cutoff!!!
  2. Okay Ridgeway fans.......let's stop talking about a game that is over and down with-- I live in Shelby County so don't say I'm some redneck. But to Hardin County....Orange Mound is scary, I'm serious~~that place is seriously ghetto.
  3. How would any of you all know about Germantown....I'm not on here commenting about Brentwood or Franklin's outlooks for this postseason. It's football~~anything can happen on any given night. Franklin won't beat Germantown by 70 and I don't know why you would want Franklin to win considering Brentwood and Franklin rival each other. I didn't want Houston to win against Hendersonville when Houston beat us in the '98 and '01 playoffs...and I never would want them too.
  4. Germantown controls their own destiny....if we play up to our potential then a state semi-finalist appearance is definite....but that's where the going gets tough......who knows....be prepared......HERE COME THE RED DEVILS!
  5. CoachT, I pray you can find it within your heart to create a board for all SEC sports not just football.......you already have NCAA football and basketball........you could make the SEC football board a general board for the SEC (because TN is in the southeast)........just a thought........I am begging you to do this!
  6. The poll is now officially closed....even if you vote in it, sorry, but you missed your chance:( According to this unscientific poll, the fans picked Soddy Daisy and Germantown as having the best cheerleading squads. Congratulations Soddy Daisy and a special congratulations to my Red Devils! Go Germantown!
  7. I concur with the above. Germantown may have lost the quantity of players last year but hey sure haven't lost the quality. Many returning players such as Jake Kasser, Zac West, Nick Hardy, Nick Metcalf, Brandon Patterson, Carlos Dixon, and countless others will contribute much to the Red Devil football program. You also have to add in the new players and upcoming sophs and juniors. I think Germantown will have a successful season:)
  8. Well, with only two weeks until the first game, this board is near locked! After the first game.....I will give the final results. Keep it up Germantown!
  9. At this point it looks like Germantown and CBHS, crosstown Public-Private rivals, are tied for the first place spot. Can DB step up and knock them down, will Soddy Daisy grab a handful of votes, will Craigmont suddenly get 15 votes, or will these two national superpowers face off for 1st place!
  10. Give me a "G"..........G Give me an "E".............E just kidding, I'm not going to do the whole thing....... GO GERMANTOWN RED DEVILS.......5A SEMIFINALISTS!
  11. Well, as I'm sure you know I'm not some Brentwood Bruin fan (considering that dreadful Thanksgiving Friday, for Germantown atleast) but their fan base (parents, students, etc.) is a very well-behaved group. I mean, they got pumped when a touchdown was called, but didn't really rub it in our face at the end of the game. Anyways, just wondering if any of y'all have been to a Germantown game (JCM, Brentwood)?
  12. Definitely will have to say that Germantown has an excellent chance to repeat as UCA's Super Varsity National Champion. Although i don't like it, Houston has a good shot at Large Varsity.....not sure about Medium Varsity or Small tho. CBHS definitely in the Co-ed division!
  13. Well, so far my Red Devils are leading the poll with 4 votes....followed by CBHS and KD who each have 3 votes. Keep voting!
  14. Take your pick! There are several national champions in the list....see how much you know about cheerleading in the state of Tennesssee!
  15. You are correct concerning the Soddy Daisy girl's cheerleading squad. The girls ventured to Dallas, TX to compete in the NCA National Competition; the squads I spoke of (Germantown, Collierville, CBHS) went to the Universal Cheerleading Association's National Competition in Orlando, Florida. This is the competition which is seen on ESPN I and ESPN II throughout the year. Look for your homestate heroes that I mentioned on my earlier post on ESPN this summer!
  16. I would feel safe on betting that in Tennessee some of the best squads in the nation reside in the suburbs of Memphis. Germantown went to the UCA National Competitition and won the all girl Super Varsity title. Collierville went to the UCA National Competitition and won the all girl Medium Varsity title. Christian Brothers went to the UCA National Competitition and won the Co-ed Large Varsity National title. As for pom/dance, just leave that to East Tennessee (ie Kingsport Dobyns-Bennet)! Germantown and Houston definitely have two of the strongest cheer programs in the United States for high schools.
  17. I can't believe that football season is coming upon us all so extremely quickly. It seems like yesterday when the state title game was decided. Well, have a restful (possibly practiceful) summer.......Good luck in Season 2003! Go Red Devils!
  18. Yes, now that Farragut has won the state title and all we will look at a little classier over here at Germantown. Even though they didn't have their good pitcher in or anything, Farragut's loss to Germantown was our only true saving grace this entire season. What a sham. Well, heavens to betsy Farragut y'all had one heck of a season and deserve great kudos for setting the state record on wins (48). However, although y'all were fantastic, I'm just glad we put that lone 'L' on your schedule; otherwise, Germantown wouldn't be the only team from Tennessee to have claimed an undefeated National Championship title (38-0 1995.....the good days). Well, however ya look at it..........GO ADMIRALS! (atleast you kept the Houston Mustangs at bay and from a title....yay).
  19. 4-0 win for the Farragut Admirals.......thanx for stopping the muuuuuuustangs
  20. Conner Vogel went 6-0, 6-0; then she beat her next opponet; and in dramatic fashion she beat Dittis of Brentwood 7-6, 6-1 in the state final to capture the state title........congrats girl.......3 more on the way!
  21. Well, actually, the first inning, but I heard both teams were awesome throughout the entire game. Well, JCM scored four runs in one inning and was leading Germantown 4-0 and then Germantown pulled it off. How crazy.
  22. 3-0 Cumberland Co. in the fifth inning.
  23. Ego, by the way, I was speaking of football..............sorry, it's my favvvvvvvvvvorite sport ever!
  24. History is where we have come from. It enables us to journey into a new realm of the human scape knowing our mistakes and successes. Your mother having you is a part of history and I hope you appreciate what she went through a while ago. As for Germantown's season being over......well, I know it's all over but it was still a rather fun season. Gosh, I graduated in 1992 from Germantown High School. How I wish we could have most of Houston and part of Cordova back into the school . I can only imagine what successes we would have had this past season in all sports. Oh the nineteen eighties, my favorite time .
