  1. Last we heard, he was enrolled at Carson-Newman.
  2. Hancock County defeated West 67-57. Nichols tallied 33 points.
  3. Folks: Gimme your nominations as teams that have surprised you with their stellar play in the first half of the 2002-03 season. My choice is Morristown East. At the break, the Hurricanes have won seven straight and are 8-2 on the season. The team has several players averaging double figures in scoring while playing outstanding defense.
  4. At Morristown East: Hancock County vs. Morristown East (girls), 6:30 p.m. Hancock County vs. Morristown East (boys), 8 p.m. At Morristown West: Rutledge vs. Morristown West (girls), 6:30 p.m. Rutledge vs. Morristown West (boys), 8 p.m.
  5. Two Words - Tim Utt (Morristown East)
  6. It will be an intriguing matchup.....Terry Livesay, who coached at Hancock County, is now the head coach at Morristown East. Hope it happens!
  7. Sanders does stink. The offense has stunk since he took over. It has became a little less potent every year. I don't know if it is all his fault (meaning I don't know how much freedom he has) The fact is this year the whole offense was set up around one person and when that person got hurt they were screwed. AND for everyone jumping on Meadows He admited that he didn't realize how much work was involved in the job, but he had some family things that made it even harder for him to be away for that much time. Meadows never wanted anything handed to him on a plate. He is doing something now that the great Craig Kisbeth couldn't do for the past four years (Win with Jefferson County)
  8. I know I mentioned him earlier in this thread....but Morristown East's Jared Palazzola had a monster night against Jefferson County on Friday night.....14 of 18 from the floor (8 of 9 on three-point attempts) and finished with a career-high 40 points. The eight treys are believed to be a school-record.
  9. It is hard to compaire receivers in high school because some team throw every down and the wr's are garenteed to have better numbers. number are not everything so this is a hard one to pick. I would have to go with Brad Lawson (Morristown West), Brad Merritt (Maryville), and Joe Watson (Greeneville).
  10. I thought he just linked his sites to all of our stories?
  11. Morristown West DB LaRue Isom is better than most names on this post. He only had three interceptions this season, but it is hard to get INTs when NO one throws your way. And if you want to know about how he comes up and helps on the run, Ask Carl Stewart, I am sure he knows who he is. I also thought Merrit was the best of the Rebels DBs.
  12. abby debusk - claiborne county ashley gray - morristown west melissa uner - sevier county
  13. two in east tennessee krysta kadlitz - morristown west 5-11 sophomore with ability to post up or hit the three-ball ashley huff - jefferson county 6-0 sophomore averaging 20 points in first five games of season
  14. Stewart never did anything against West. McCord and Merrit are the players that killed the Trojans. Stewart had like 70 total yards in two games against the Trojans and a pretty nasty concusion also. I think Maryville will win, but don't go asking Morristown West how good Stewart is, because you might not like the reply.
  15. They have lost their coach or are they going to?
  16. You are an idiot dude! I watched the game! All the wide outs had to do was catch the ball it hit them in the numbers. The pass he made on the Trojans' sideline to Lawson was beautiful. He threw it over the linebacker and in front of the DB you need to reconsider those comments! He did throw two ints, but to say the receivers made him look good is just a stupid comment! Good luck to Maryville and to all its seniors.
  17. It will be in Citizen Tribune on Monday.
  18. Backup RB @ Carson-Newman. Should get his chance next season as Eagles lose three of their top four backs to graduation.
  19. Jefferson County's Michael Potts. He does the most with the least amount of talent. In his team's first game this season....he started two juniors, two sophomores and a freshman. The Lady Patriots came away with a 60-45 win. If you're going to beat them, beat them early because Potts will find a way to make them one of the better teams in East Tennessee.
  20. One vote for Jefferson County's Scott Meadows!
  21. Woods takes kids every year and does the same thing JUST WIN BABY This years group of Trojans looked shakey at the first of the season but he has molded them into a great team. No matter if they beat Maryville or get killed next week it doesn't matter. Woods gets my vote.
  22. The Greeneville team showed up and did what they have done all year and that was throw the ball well. The difference was West didn't give up the deep ball because they played a nickel all night and still held the Greene Devils to very few yards rushing. The Trojans defense had the Greene Devils fooled all night they never knew where the blitz was coming from and if not for a penalty and a drop the Trojans would've had three interception instead of one. "Any time and any place" was Greeneville's rally cry. Well this game could have been played in Baugh's back yard and the outcome would've been the same. Good luck in Basketball season Devils
  23. Don't be pulling my post buddy I said nothing wrong in it! If you want to look closely, there has been a lot worse stuff said in here!
