MBA beat BA 2-1 last night. JPII plays BGA and Father Ryan plays MBA sometime this afternoon/tonight. Games are at Trevecca.

Yes- that is what the TSSAA website says. I know the winners of the first two games play the top two seeds: BGA v. JPII and MBA/BA v. Father Ryan. So- I would assume the winners of those games advance, but the third team? Loser's play?

BA-MBA moved to 6PM Monday.

You are correct about BA. It is worth noting, however, that BGA is now giving some true academic scholarships to students ( based on merit not need). But the arrangement with the student who receives this scholarship is that they cannot play a varsity sport.

Can you enlighten us on this particular situation? How does he withdraw from one school and enroll in another? Did he move?

Regarding the Mustache Mafia- Word from the students is that the school administration had a talk with them regarding "cheering"- no more chanting, even no "airball".

Kick-off is at 7:30 (Although for some reason BA home games always seem to start early). I would get there as early as possible. The BA campus is under construction and parking will be an issue.

Yes - he has been recruited. The word is that if he does not to pro, he is looking at North Carolina, Duke or Kentucky.

By Brentwood, I assume you mean Brentwood High. If some of their kids received financial aid, that would be a story since they are a public high school. Also, I don't know why you care, Brentwood was not very good this year.

I admittedly don't have first hand knowledge, but it is my impression that BA ( in any sport) would prefer to play all comers. I suspect the reason that more public schools don't play them is not because BA doesn't want to schedule them, but vice versa. I, for one, would love to see a Franklin- BA game. Again, I don't have first hand knowledge, but I would bet that if Franklin called, BA would agree.

And we don't we have instant replay? That would erase a lot of those bad calls we have every week. It is soooooo frustrating to sit in the stands and see the replay on the Jumbotron and not be able to have bad calls reversed.
