I wish it were just as you said, but I'm afraid there are a few good teams left to be played after the Germantown vs JCM game. I'm sure it will be a great game if they both make it past this weeks opp. The way JCM played last week they might not be in it to much longer. This weeks game might be closer than most think. JCM might be very thin at a few positions due to injury assuming they have not recovered.

Their not playing down to their opp. Their making a ton of mistakes and if they don't correct those mistakes before they run into a legit team they will most certainly be sitting at home. That said I don't think Overton is a good team st all and I didn't think Houston was a good team either. Overton beating them wasn't a shock to me. Come on Houston lost to Bolton? they just weren't as good as they were last year.

I don't think the JCM score will be close at all. They should roll something like 42-14. The first meeting was one of the strangest games I've seen. JCM dominates on both sides of the ball but allows two kickoff returns for touchdowns and one interception return for a touchdown making it a somewhat close game. It will be a great game or maybe even a blowout for Overton if JCM plays like they did against Collierville.

Where is my good mark I said Memphis Overton would beat Houston?

I hope JCM dosen't allow two kickoff returns and a interception return for TD's this week like they did in their last game with Overton this year.

Between the fumbles, penalties, and the injuries this is a game that I am glad to see the end of. First off the penalties were plenty for the Cougars of JCM tonight. I honestly don't think Collierville had but one and though it's most likely due to concentration the fan in me wants to cry foul. It seemed as if every big play was taken away by a penalty. We have to do better next week if we want to move on. Fumbles also played a major role for JCM. Twice inside the ten yard line they droped the ball. When JCM looked to go up 30-12 in the third they drop the ball inside the ten for the second time in the game. The next play is a 80 somthing yard TD pass for Collierville. Thank God that was the last score of the game. The injuries are not happening at a good time for the Cougars either. Their second leading reciever sat out tonight and at the start of the third their soon to be all-state reciever twisted his ankle leaving them without their two leading pass catchers. I hope things work out better next week.

I sure do like this format more than the current system we have. I would like to see more matchups between different regions instead of playing the same two regions for the first three rounds.

Who do you think will come out of the West in 5A? I think it wil be Germantown, but I am hopeful it could be JCM. If it isn't JCM then I would like to see Gallatin make it to the finals.

Yes, Ezell or whoever could beat some of the 5A and 4A schools. Rustynails point is that 1A schools LACK THE DEPTH that a 5A/4A enjoy from the number of students attending that school. I don't care if its the South Pittsburg team from 1970 that had Billy Joe Jack, Joe Bob Cooter, and Eddie Max Ennis they wouldn't win like they did in 1A. A team that plays 13-15 players a game will not last with teams playing 28-30 players a game.

Brentwood and Franklin in the top 20 and Ezell is not in the top ten.

USJ is so young this year. Its a good bet they could make it.

I think this could be a great game again. I don't think you can call it that big of an upset if Lincoln Co. wins. They did beat them once this year earlier. Good luck to both teams they both have fantastic programs.

There is no doubt that Memphis year in and out puts more players in the major college ranks. That city is talent rich.

A sweep has happened only once since Germantown, Houston, Kirby were switched from region 7 to 8. I see a split this year. Please remember this is the same JCM team as last year, with the loss of two OL, a DL, and a LB, that had a easy time with a Collierville that was much better last year than it appears to be this year. Houston I'm sure would say that they had a harder time with JCM than they did with the three other playoff games were they played teams from the West. I keep hearing that These region 8 teams play such a harder schedule than JCM? If they do I don't see it. I would say JCM plays a just as tough a schedule as anyteam from your region. As for the highly tauted "AL Wilson team" you spoke of. The more tauted of his teams would have been his JR year when JCM lost in the Semis to a mationally ranked Lincoln Co. team that won the state. Germantown and Houston were both sitting at home that year because they failed to make the playoffs.

Bolton should win plus if Felix doesn't play Overton has a very good shot at beating Houston.

TCS and Online must have something against JCM. JCM Wins with ease 28-7.

TCS, JCM will not lose in the first round. These regions are not that much different. If anything I would say that region 8 is the weeker of the two this year. They are both one team regions this year, JCM and Germantown. Germantown is prob. the better of the two. Houston, Bolton, Etc are not in the same class this year.

It looks to be a great playoff this yearfor JCM. Two of JCM biggest playoff rivals would have to be Germantown and Gallatin. I to would Love to see a JCM vs Gallatin Semi match-up. I remember so great games in the late 80'searly 90's and the best games I've ever seen between them in the late 70's. Go Cougars Go!

Since Houston lost to a team out of region seven does that mean they are week? Whitestation might make the playoffs in your region so give it a rest. Region seven is not any weaker than eight. JCM and Germantown are both better teams than last year when Houston beat them. Germantown will beat houston tonight and if Houston makes it to the second round they will get beat by JCM.

Sorry about the last post. Just the fan coming out in me. I guess we'll find out who the better team is in the second round, JCM or Houston.
