In the early 90's we played JB and the best back I ever played against. I can not remember his name can someone help He was one exceptional player.

Well I do not know how Jackson and Oakdale came out ut if Monterey won all of their games. They were the only undefeated team. Gordonsville and Smith went 2-1. Jackson was 1-1 (Don't know anout their oakdale game). Oakdale was 0-2 and Watertown was 0-3.

Friday night was the first time I saw SP play this year but seen almost every game last year. I could not understand why Jones who I felt was the best defensive player SP had last year never stepped on the field on defense. Is he banged up or has it been that way all year? Maybe some of the SP faithful can answer that question.

Just wondering how Cheatham County is looking woth so many starters back on both sides of the ball I could not believe how low they were picked. Who are the Cubs scrimmaging against and how have they done so far?

Yes I missed the Herald-Citizen's All-Upper Cumberland Team this year I was wondering if anyone had a list of the members that they could post.

From what I have seen and I have seen quite a few 1A games. Marco Daily (Mt. Pleasant) no brainer The QB from Jo Byrns do not know his name but he has a big arm Ford kid from Trousdale best lineman in the state. Patterson from Watertown WR. The Moss kid was very good at LB (The QB will be here next year count on it) Smith from Gordonsville great competitor. Two of their lineman were pretty good as well #59 and #56. The Thornton kid #17 at WR had a big year. #6 from Silverdale was a good LB, and they could have a couple of athletes next year. Scruggs from Lookout great athlete. #40 from Lookout was a good LB as well. South Pitt- #24 great football player, #2 one of the most underrrated players they have, #21 Game breaker at WR, #75 extremely good offensive lineman, #88 TE the number may be wrong but he is exceptional. This is really all I have seen have not seen the West play alot and not many in the far East.

1. Friendship could have as good of a backfield in 1A with three super talented runners in one backfield in Alsup (not enough credit), Rickaway, and Markham. Defensively big holes to fill but Coach Lowe has a great scheme and they will be solid. 2. Mt. Pleasant seen them play last year and Daily is a special young man. I would still like to see him play against some of the defenses in Region 4, but regardless he is exceptional. 3. Trousdale this is just out of respect. Talent wise I can not see a whole lot there, but they will be the well drilled and you are going to have to beat them, they willnot beat themselves. 4. Gordonsville offensively they could be spectacular. Probably the best dual threat QB in 1A with a pretty good offensive line. A couple holes on defense are going to be huge to fill, but talent wise could probably be on the top of the list. 5. South Pitt fastest team in 1A football no questions asked period. Needs to improve up front but they are scary. 6. Jo Byrns very good footballl team saw them and MP play last year I know they lost a couple, but I don't know if there speed is as good as those in the top 5, but they are a very good football team. 7. Hampton well coached and they play extremely hard. 8. Cascade usually very competitive and they should be that way again. 9. Huntingdon do not know much about them but they usually have a lot of athletes. (Probably should be higher) 10. Silverdale could be a sleeper in Region 3. They could have one of those Temple years.

Same thing happened to us runners on 2nd and 3rd fly ball tag both runner advance. Appeal pitcher throw over his head kid nowon 3rd scores. Umpire said appeal was safe but sent the runner back to thirdthat advanced saying it was live but the head of our association said that the call was booted it was live.

Friendship (Rickaway and Markham with most of the O-line returning/ Defense Question mark) Trousdale (Too much tradition to keep off the list they can find a way to win) Gordonsville (Have got to prove they can beat TC and FC/ could be at the top of the list) South Pittsburgh (Need to mature but they have more speed than any one team deserve Mt. Pleasant (One man show returns for an encore) Jo Byrns (The have some good people returning) There will be one West TN team rise up I do not know alot about any of these schools Union City, Fayette Acad. i really don't know.

From a neutral bystander last night with no dog in the hunt. I thought it was a very exciting game. Daily is a great runner and so is the RB from JB. Very exciting game hats off to MP, and condolences to JB. I have now seen in person half of the 1-A semi-final teams in person. I have noidea what hampton or JC have, and I hope they are very good so tha there are two very good semi games next week. From what I saw the title game may very well of been last week in Lebanon (FC vs Gville) but I hope I am wrong.

From a neutral view of this situation. I think most of you South. Pitt fans forget to realize how young your team is. You are loaded with sophomores. You lose only one or two starters. For the next two years you are going to be a force to be dealt with. Coach Grider is a proven winner period. You guys lost two games to two pretty good football teams, and both scores were probably more lopsided than the should ahave been but that shows youth. This year hurt South Pitt as well because many of your tougher tests this year those teams were down. So trust me South Pitt will be fine and they will be heard for the next two years.

I have seen a lot of football this year, and have seen many good 1-A players and most of them are in Region 4. Trousdales Blake Satterfield is a difference maker on the field I know he only played in 1/2 the games but his presence has meant more to any team that I have seen. Gordonsville's Justin Smith is a dual threat QB that is for real run and pass. Lineman Trondeze Burmley Trousdale County very big and exceptionally strong player, Gordonsville's Robert Halfacre has been dominant, Monterey's #73 very good as well, Friendship's Wade Mitchell MLB makes tackles everywhere very good, and Gordonsville's Travis Alexander LB/RB makes a ton of tackles and is a great RB as well (not for sure about any stats but I know Mitchell and Alexander are both very high in tackles close to or over 100. I have seen Catholics Harrison Smith in 3-A and he is the real deal as well no doubt the best all around player I have seen all year.

What was told on the radio said if GHS and TC win. Then everything rests on Monterey and Watertown. Watertown wins TC is 4 Water is 3 an Gville 2. Monterey wins TC 2 Gville 3 and Mont 4.

I think thare are several kids in Region 4 that could be considered. Rickaway of course, Satterfield at TC what he has done in the few games he has played is tremendous, Smith Gordonsville multi threat Quarterback, Randolph receiver from Gordonsville. Mitchell from FC at Linebacker and Alexander at Gordonsville at linebacker I think the Tennessean had both of those guys in the top 15 in tackles.

S. Pitt has a very good team this year and should compete for a state title. The big concern I have is in the play-offs, Region 4 champ this year has homefield throughout all 4 rounds, and the winner of Region 3 may very well have tough road to the title. It could possibly look like Trousdale round 1 (down a little but still Trousdale) Friendship and Gordonsville round 2 and 3. Whoever comes out of Region 3 vs 4 quarterfinal has a great shot to Murfreesborro

Travis Alexander and Justin Smith of Gordonsville should be considered. In 2 games and 1 quarter. Travis has rushed for over 300 yards and made over 30 tackles. Smith has rushed for 300 yards and has thrown for 300.
