Do not underestimate David Lipscomb's basketball program. This game is going to be much better then what people are believing it to be. Boliviar has a good, soild team and an excellent player in Kemp. However, it takes more then one individual player to win a game. Expect more then a cake walk because if that is all that you are thinking is going to happen, then Bolivar is in for a long night. Good luck to both teams. It will be a good, close game and may the best team win.

Not trying to take anything way from whatever district Giles County is in, but this game was not really an upset. Hume-Fogg simply plays in a much tougher district with the likes of both MLK and David Lipscomb in it. I predict that all four district 9 times shall sweep over the other district. If not all four teams, then 3 of the 4 teams.

Does anyone have any information about this? A website perhaps? Any information would be most welcome. I would like to know what the new classifications are going to be for the upcoming 2005-2006 season in Basketball. Thank you very much

Can I have some stats on the game, please? It is obvious that MLK won. I do not understand what hotgolfer38562 was thinkin' in even thinking that Upperman would have a chance in the game. I do not want to talk any trash. But I would like to know some stats about the game and what Doc did. Why was Upperman allowed to score so many points?

It really doesnt matter who actually wins this game for MLK is going to win the region, the sub-state, and do well in the state tournament. That is what I think

What year is Brock from DL? Is he a junior or senior? Cuz if they have him, they will compete with MLK for top spot, with Station camp and Greenbrier fighting for second. HFA, East Lit., Springfeild, Portland, and Macon County all fighting it out.

I do not know about Fulton, but I know that MLK is a good team. Johnny Lee is one of the best point guards in the state and extremly underrated. Good luck to Fulton. Knowing Doc Shelton he will call a timeout on the first play and chew on his straw and run the stall offense...lol..good luck to both teams.

Is there no mention of Doc Shelton from MLK or Coach Harned from Hume-Fogg. Or is this just AAU ball..

I will defend Brewer and tell you that he is a good guy. I have played against him for 2 years and he has never had a bad attitude. He is a good player so dont critize. As for him throwing the guy on the ground, the only times that I have seen him doing something like that is when someone does play hard, bad sportsman like defense on him.

I think that LA has it this time in da regional finals...and then if they both make it to the State championship which i bet they do...it will be JC winning another one..

It was a great first round of the region tournament. Congrats to all of the 8AA teams on sweeping 7AA. It is going to be a great round of the region tournament, yet again like district. Good luck to all of the teams. Its a shame that only two get to make it though..good luck

This should be a heck of a game. Too close to call. Brewer and company vs. the bomb squad from DL. If Brewer having an off night, no chance for him to win. The Bomb Squad will drain the threes....as always.. good luck to both teams..

District 7AA is the best district in the state for girls basketball at this time right now. If anyone doubts that look at the past FIVE state championships....and Jackson Co. is not the only GREAT team from that District. Every team in that district on any given night can run the floor with most any girls team in the state. Read the quote about ignorance.......

This is going to be a great region tourny. DL and Upperman will be the best game because they are two very similiar teams that like to go at it. It will be down to the wire. MLK will dominate LA even though it may be close at the beginning. Portland and York will be a game that has the best match up between Brewer and Ledbetter. Even though I think that Brewer will get the best of the one on one match up...but whether his team wins is another story..should be a good game. Smith Co. vs HFA should also be a good game but I thnk that HFAs gurds are too quck for Smith Co. and it should be an interesting match up with the Big 6-10 boy down low going against the couple 6-5 guys that Smith Co. has. I think that 8-AA will go 3-1 in the region tourny. Good luck to all the teams and may the best team win...

this is going to be a great region tournament. MLK will have their way with LA. DL and Upperman will be the best of the games to watch, with it coming down to the wire. Then Humefogg and Smith Co. will be a good game but HFAs guards are too quick. Portland and York will be another close one like DL vs Upperman. Brewer will be too much for York unless he is having a bad night.

DL will win over Upperman....they are too good. HF will beat Smith Co. due to quickness. Portland will also win. And finally MLK is the best team in region...they will win. The only 2 close games for this district will be HF and smith and then DL and Upperman, which should be a great game between cocky DL and bad boys from Upperman
