  1. What was the score of this game? Any details on how game went?

  3. Shelbyville has played two ranked teams over the course of the season. They lost to Pope John Paul II 4-0 and they split their games with Tullohoma in two close contests. Neither Shelbyville nor Tullahoma play in what is considered a tough region, particulary when you compare that region to the two regions encompassing Sumner, Montgomery, and Williamson counties. In addition, a number of the schools on the state ranking are renowned for their soccer programs and have been to the state tournament a number of times (and have won state championships) and will be in the state tournament again this year. To a degree, sucess spells success. If your team makes it to state, they can then show TN high school soccer how good they are and that they are deserving of being ranked. Good luck!
  4. Franklin 3 Brentwood 0 Megan Mace, a freshman, with a hat trick! Total game from Franklin, both offensively and defensively. Good luck to Brentwood in their Substate game on Saturday versus either Hendersonville or Beech.
  5. I think Rebelguy and the whole WKU Hilltopper team had an early curfew tonight in preparation for their home game versus Youngstown State tomorrow evening. This is their first conference game and they are looking to protect their #6 national ranking in Division 1-AA. He knows who won and I am sure he will make a post before the weekend is over.
  6. The GK that was been talked about on this thread is Taryn Holland of Franklin High School, Franklin, TN, the AAA State Champions in 2002 & 2003. Franklin has not played Tullahoma since the state championship game of 2002 and has not played Lawrence County in the last three years. When did your team play Franklin where you only had 2 SOG? Which team do you represent?
  7. I entered the jersey #, name, position, and year in high school. I did not enter the height and weight of the players.
  8. I did as you instructed, but I still cannot add names to roster. When I add names, I get the following message for each added player, "Error adding _____ ________ to roster." I am not sure what to do to get around this problem.
  9. Earlier tonight, I attempted to enter a prospect for girl's soccer. However, the instructions indicated that the team's roster must be in the system to do so. I then found the roster for Franklin High school (girl's soccer) has not been entered and I attempted to do so but was unable to do so. Please give me instructions on: 1) How to enter a team's roster 2) How to enter a prospect to the data base.

  11. Jsmack, you just lost all my respect. "Latin loving preps".... C'mon now, what's the point in saying something like that? Saying stuff like that just gives your Community a bad name and adds fuel to the fire for people who want to put down Fairview. Think a little more before you type. And cowboys, great post!
  12. Still there is silence from Sportsguy76!! But don't worry, and no, the crow didn't eat him. I found he posted @ 5:32 PM under a thread dealing with what teams will win the state championships. Naturally, he picked against Franklin!! Just can't get that Brentwood blood out of his system!! Now we can all look forward to some glowing articles out of him in the RA. He is our 12th man and he will motivate on!!!
  13. Silence.............. man, it's quiet!!! Don't even hear the "Caws" anymore! Must have been caught & devoued, feathers and all. I hope Sportsguy1976 is alright. I know he must have severe heartburn, you know, with the game last night and eating the crow and all that. Silence............I know, he must be working on that season ending article regarding the great season the Bruins had (football and girl's soccer) and how they lost it or how the officials gave it away, etc. etc. etc.
  14. Caw!Caw!Caw!...Darn, that crow is still loose!!!.....Caw!Caw!Caw!Caw!Caw! Caw!!CaW!!
  15. Sportguy1976 > Caw!Caw!Caw!.....What is that sound?......Caw!Caw!Caw!........Why, I think it is the sound of a crow!!! Have you caught yours yet?? I understand they are rather tasty, but please remove the feathers first! You know, I have sat here and watched the posts over the past few days and I finally had to enter the fray. I have to say that I have been quite dismayed over the past two years with your blatant bias toward Brentwood in your RA articles. You don't think you are Brentwood biased? Look at you posts on this thread and reread some of you RA articles. And not just football. Look at your post under Girls Soccer ("Franklin vs Brentwood Again, What'll Happen???" where you state, and I quote, "just saying that Franklin seems to get the breaks when it needs to...or calls, I should say...") How or why your paper's management would allow it is beyond me. But you know, we really need to thank you. Franklin's fans were really into the game tonight. The yelling, the cow belling, and the horn blowing was mind boggling. There is little doubt it had some affect on the Bruins' offense as they had numerous procedure penalties. Some of that noise was coming from Franklin fans who relished being underdogs and who were tired of hearing the Brentwood bias of the RA. Your articles! I heard your name mentioned frenquently this night!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!! You were our 12th man! You and your articles inspired us!! By the way, what year did your wife graduate from Brentwood HS??? Again, many thanks!!! :justwrestle:
  16. The Farragut team is one of the most aggressive teams I have seen in a number of years. They are big, skilled, and have great team speed. However, the thing that impressed me the most was how relentless they were on the attack. They will be back in the state tournament next year. Having said this, the Franklin team was very opportunistic and made the most of the shots they had. From the defensive standpoint, although Farragut had 27 shots on goal, a number of those shots were taken with a Franlin defender on them. This accounts for the number of shots either wide of or over the goal. In addition, contrary to your post, the Franklin goalie was quite active and made a number of saves, including three diving saves. All total, she had at least 10 saves in the game. Farragut was very aggressive on offense, but Franklin was equally aggressive in defending their goal. Great game played by two very good teams!
  17. In the case of the 1st goal, the FHS keeper was not out of position as she faced a booming shot on a breakaway to the top left of the net. That was a great shot by Kate Hughes that few, if any, keepers could have touched, much less stopped. On the second Bruin goal, the FHS keeper was again not out of position, but was blocked from getting to the ball by one of her own players. A second Bruin player rebounded the ball into the net. As for best players in the state, Franklin has a number of players who could be considered in that category and FHS has all but three starters returning next year. Starters returning include: Sarah Perrigan - Sweeper - Jr. Jordan LeFan - Midfield - Jr. Monica Dunham - Forward - So. Sarah Defatta - Fullback - So. Gabbie Mayer - Fullback - So. Taryn Holland - Keeper - So. Kacie Horner - Forward - Fr. Halie Proffitt - Midfield - Fr. The key will be that they have all of the defense coming back, including Taryn Holland, the keeper, who started in that position both as a Freshman and Sophomore. Franklin should be in good position to continue making their runs to the State Tournament.
  18. Kangaroo, If any of our poor public schools do decide to schedule the mighty Eagles, can we recruit and offer scholarships also? Certainly, we want to be fair, don't we? With regard to coaching, it should be easy to win when you have the advantage of recruiting and scholarships. Enough already! This is why the vast majority of coaches in TN have opted to separate the schools under TSSAA with even more division to come! They want a level playing field when it comes to competition. You folks have brought it on yourself!!!! That is why you have to schedule schools in KY and beyond. Play fair, play square! Old subject. Enough said.
  19. Not only is Coach Daniels a good man and an outstanding coach, he is also a very smart man. He knew what the opening of Ravenwood High School (a direct spin-off of Brentwood HS) would do to BHS athletics for the next few years. This is Brentwood High School's last year to shine for awhile. Many of their best athletes came from Woodland Middle which now is the feeder for Ravenwood. Thus, it was better for him to go to a new school and build a program than stay at Brentwood, where his team would struggle and in many cases, lose.
  20. It is hard to believe you would list Tullahoma and omit both Hendersonville and Franklin! Tullahoma has played a very weak schedule versus those two schools and would have an extremely difficult time getting past either. Time will tell.
  21. No, I want a statewide poll. I just think that the competition in east TN isn't nearly as strong as in Middle. This is proved every November when the playoffs come around and the middle TN teams are in the championship game. I disagree with your poll because Riverdale is not included. They have lost to the top two teams in the state according to your poll and by a very small margin at that. Soddy-Daisy may have only lost one game, but they haven't played anybody good. The only good team Oak Ridge has played is versus D-B and they lost. But hey, it's your opinion and you're entitled to it. At least you don't have Jefferson Co. on there...
  22. Seems a little biased towards a portion of the state that has won very few playoff games against the middle TN boys the past few years. The one exception being Sevier Co. a few years back. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think East TN 5A football is a little overrated in this poll.
  23. I'm sorry to hear that just1np. Glad to hear it wasn't a Franklin fan however. Good luck this week, it will be a good game.
  24. Two of the best teams in the Mid-State will play Tuesday night at 7 PM. This has been a heated rivalry for years and the game should be close. The games are usually very physical. Who should have the edge on offense? Who are the key players? Who should have the edge on defense? Who are the key players? Who should have the edge at keeper? If you want to see a good soccer match, come out to Franklin Tuesday night. Should be a great crowd to match a great rivalry!!
