He got out of teaching and coaching all together. Last I had heard is that he is selling insurance for Lockmiller Realty.

It would be great if Coach Hutchins could bring 5 on staff with him. But the truth is there will be very few openings if any. Five coaches total is the number of staff members at McMinn last year, I believe. I would say that maybe one of the teaching slots would open up. So bringing Jeff's staff with him is probably not going to happen.

Price may have beaten McMinn A few times. But I can't remember the last time a McMinn team went 2-8. What was Bradley's record the year before, 4-6. Those 6 wins in two years must have been a whole lot more important than the 17 that Mullinax won. Losing seasons at McMinn are unheard of unlike Bradley.

He is not a top candidate at the McMinn County job. McMinn will not take the left overs of Bradley Co.

Coach Obrien had been ther for 24 years including offensive coordinator for coach Hyder for 15 years. It seems they had the best person for the job. It may be the demogrphics that are changing the situation in Valdosta.

Does not have anything to do with Tennessee, but I just heard that that Valdosta High School in Georgia fired it's head coach after 6 years with a 70-20 record with one state championship.

He wants it. I heard he was threatening to leave if he didn't get it.

Whoever takes the job at McMinn County, whether it be head coach moving or a assistant moving up to be a head coach, will take a significant pay cut. McMinn County does not pay a comparitive amount compared to Chattanooga area schools. The only reason Coach Mullinax didn't leave for more money is that he loved the school and the community. To find someone with his ability and work ethic for the pay will be hard for the school.
