I just finished watching the tape of the game. Skogan definitely charged on Richman and again on Walker. I rewound it several times. These were huge missed calls because the one on Richman would have been Jake's 4th pretty early in the 3rd quarter. I am not blaming the game on the refs, but it sure was frustrating watching it again on tape. The Bucs still had chances to win, but did not execute. You have to play through all the calls. There is some kind of "life lesson" in all this. Everything is not always fair and going to go your way, but you have to overcome. The Bucs will come out on top in the rematch.

Yeah, the schedule page is missing two of the Bucs' games. They are 11/19 at Tellico Plains--score BBS 54 Tellico 33 and on 11/30 the Bucs beat CAK 62-60. This game was played at Temple in the Temple Classic So, yes the Bucs are 14-3 with a big game coming up next Thurs against Temple. GO BUCS!

the bucs win 60-54, a great game. ccs was up 42-29 early in the third quarter. the bucs fought back and came away with the victory. i am so proud of them.--14-3 record! keep it up, bucs! one game at a time!

you wont get any clues from me until you give me some as to who you are. I am pretty sure that our previous guess was correct.... by the way I will give you the most current update on the Bucs- going in to the xmas break, we are 8-1 and undefeated in the district. We will play in the tourn at FHU Jan 2-4, and then we look forward to hosting the Blue Tornado on the 7th. GO BUCS!

Chism- I heard the reason the '96 team won the state was b/c they had this awesome point guard who use to live on Signal Mtn. He was the catalyst of that team and the key to their success. What is your opinion? As far as us taking this board too serious, it's you that is posting messages all the time...

OK, CHISM I ADMIT YOU MUST HAVE SOME KNOWLEDGE OF SINGLE A BB. IT IS EVIDENT IN YOUR LAST POST. MICHAEL GAINES WAS A GREAT PLAYER. I WATCHED HIM AT FHU WHERE HE WAS AN ALL-AMERICAN. HOWEVER, I DISAGREE ON YOUR STATEMENT THAT THE 96 TEAM WON THE STATE DUE TO LUCK. THIS STATEMENT DEGRADES YOUR BB KNOWLEDGE QUITE A BIT. YOU DO NOT GO 33-2 AND WIN THE STATE TITLE ALL B/C OF LUCK. THOSE PLAYERS HAD A GREAT AMOUNT OF SKILL. BUT THE THING THAT PUSHED THEM TO THE TOP WAS THEIR HEART AND THEIR "REFUSE TO LOSE" ATTITUDE. I AM VERY CLOSE TO THE PLAYERS ON THIS YEAR'S TEAM. YES, IT IS EARLY IN THE SEASON, BUT I SEE THIS SAME KIND OF ATTITUDE AND HEART. YOU MENTIONED THE POST GAME--THAT IS OUR BIGGEST SURPRISE ON THIS YEAR'S TEAM. BILLY RINGOLD HAS WORKED HARD AND IMPROVED TREMENDOUSLY. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL POSITIVE COMMENTS ON HIS PLAY THIS SEASON. THE ERA OF "BBS MIDGETS" IS DEFINETLY OVER WITH RINGOLD AND 6'5" COOPER. to set the record straight, chism--bopperbird33 was a member of the state championhip team in '96. he was district tourn MVP, region tourn. MVP, and named to the all state tourn. team. BBS beat Perry Co in the finals. Perry Co. was led by Kirk Haston who played at Indiana and now plays in the NBA. Bopper definitely has a right to make statements regarding BBS basketball--for the reasons stated above and his brother-in-law is the coach. You on the other hand have no right and obviously no knowledge about BBS basketball. How can you say this is a rebuilding year when we have 7 seniors on this year's team and lost only 1 starter off last year's team?? BBS basketball will always be strong no matter how well the football team does. In fact, the success of the football team is already carrying over to the bb team. Enough said. the rest will be said on the court! GO BUCS!

great post blueandgoldfan. You hit the nail right on the head. I happen to know the coach very well. Many hours are spent studying film, scouting opponents, planning practices... Above his knowledge of the game, he loves those kids and would do anything for them. I sense a very strong feeling of love and unity on this year's team. With that and hard work, only great things will happen!!

I'm not an expert on what it takes to play in college. I do know if they went on the size of a player's heart, Will would be everybody's first choice--no doubt! He is very competitive and his determination exceeds all levels. I have two younger daughters, if I could only clone Will for future son-in-laws........

great thoughts UNCLEBUC... I am very proud of the Buccaneers. I really felt for them Friday night b/c I know how much they have poured into and given up for their team. Yes, Will is human, but his heart is as big as they come! I hope the senior players enjoy their trip to Disney. I will give each of them a hug and high five when they get back...
