No matter what classifaction Maryville plays in they we be very competitive. There is not many 5A teams that can play with Maryville.We play them year after year and they just reload. Maryville can and will win at the 5A level. So for anyone who thinks different just wait and see.

Terrence Cobb is working hard. He is in the weight room twice a day and he works his tail off. He is definitely going to be something special.

As for us Bobcat fans in Fountain City we would love for Fulton to move to Region 3 4A. Then we could have the Battle of Broadway. This could become a big rivilary and it would be a great gate for either home team. Hope to see those Falcons in 4A very soon!

What about the Central vs Maryville game friday night! That one will be very hard to forget. The missed field goals, the double OT's and the raw emotion on both side lines. That was a game for the ages!

pujo, I agree with you! Maryville takes average players and turn them into football players. With the exeption of Carl Stewart and a couple other kids Maryville doesn't always have the best athletes. Hats off to their coaching staff and i hope we get another chance to play them in the 3rd round.

This game is for more then bragging rights! The winner wins the region and also has HOME FIELD advantage in the playoffs. Its going to be a classic and i can't wait until this Friday night! This is what high school football is all about!

FB our starters played one offensive series in the 2nd half just so Cassen could get 1000 yards for the season. After that we played nothin but Soph. and Freshman. So i think before you start pointing fingers and saying Central has no class you might want to get your facts straight. We'll worry about the Rebels next week, but for now were focused on those Red Devils just like you all should be focused on West.

Question for all the Halls fans! Who is going to guard Shavar, Terrence Scott and DaDa Gaston? We have watched film on Halls and they don;t have anybody who can check any of the three. The only one who comes close is the Mynatt kid and theres no way he can check all three. And not to mention Cassen running the rock and Zach making the plays he makes at QB. Good Luck!

This is to all the halls fans! Halls has not scored a TD on Central in probably 4 years. So what makes you all think this year is going to be any different. Central is a young football team too but you don't hear us sittting around talking about it. After 6 ball games there is no such thing as a young football team. Either your grown up or your just not very good!

I know halls has a buy week and they will have two weeks to perpare for us, but we are worried about Clinton not Halls. So after friday night we will start talking about those YOUNG red devils.

The scrimmage is at Central. If it rains then we will move it to the practice field. The start time is 5:00. Come out and see them cats run wild.

Central has looked very good! They have won all their games except one and the game got called because of lighting and it ended with both teams at 9 points a piece.

If i have been hearing corretly he will call the Defense and Matt Lowe will call the Offense. That is what the word is in the Powell community.

Cobb is going to Fulton! He has been at the passing league games at Webb with Fulton shirts and talking about Fulton football. I wish the kid nothing but good luck and i hope he has a great year!

Clinton needs more then a cute coach to save them. What they need is some Athletes that know how to win, if they don't get that then they will be at the bottom of Region 34A.

Like i said earlier in my post. I didn't know you had to transfer to the school you are zoned for!!!!!!! You all get on here and accuse us CHS of regruiting and when something like this Cobb Situation comes up you can't beleive something like that would or could happen. well i got i news for you, it happens and thats the bottom line!! Every team in knoxville has at least one or two transfers or out of zone kid on their roster. Thats a fact!

Thanks CoachGarret! I didn't have a stat sheet handy so i had to guesstamate what is was, thanks! Cassen is a great kid and is going to excell in academics and athletics. I hope to see him rush for 1500 or more yards this year, i think he is definetly capable of reaching that mark.

From what i understand Cobb is making up the time in summer school and can inroll back into knox co. schools in the Fall. I'm not for sure about this but that is what the rumor is. AEROADRUNNER is right! Cobbs mother lives wright behind the duck pond in Fountain City and last time we checked that is in the heart of Central High Schools zone. I didn't know you had to be on transfer to go to the school you are zoned for.

I really like those kids from Fountain City. Their young but they have alot of experience and i think they are the team to beat in the region.

He rushed for about 1100 yards.

WB got a new head coach so we really don't know what they have. They are always pretty good and very phyisical. They always play us tough and its going to be a battle.

Thanks Roadrunner for clearing the air. Our schedule is going to be tough but i thing this is one of the best CHS football teams we've had since our state ruuner up team in 99. Our first three games are on the road, Greenville, William Blount, and West.

Well keep laughing cause we called every Knox Co. team and they either would not play or they didn't have the same open dates. Thats why we had to pick up three new games all which are out of area teams; Greenville in week 0, McCallie week 4, and Seigal which is the new school in The Moro.
