  1. Simmer down high school sports fan. No one talked smack until you started posting... where have you seen trash talk from Crockett Co. fans about Dyersburg? All your doing is trying to bait someone into following your example.
  2. Didn't he fumble in the endzone early in the 3rd quarter as well?
  3. This guy is not a CC fan...sounds more like a fan of Ripley. It's just someone stirring things up. Don't take the bait, ignore them.
  4. huh? Like Crockettfan said... it ain't them. I highly doubt that papratt has been posting. Someone is trying to stir things up and your taking the bait.
  5. Who's talking smack? The only ones running their mouths about Obion are the ones with one or two posts, using names like papratt, and are trying to stir things up...and you took the bait. And who has mentioned Dyersburg? Yeah, Crockett had a bad game last year against Dyersburg. You can't put the ball on the ground that many times and expect to win. Saying that it has anything to do with this year is like saying that Dyersburg will have to beat the first 3-9 team they play in this year's playoffs to prove blah, blah, blah. Let's talk football instead of trash. I'll take Haywood, Dyersburg, and Crockett Co.
  6. I don't think anyone is underestimating the abilities of OC...they are by all accounts a solid football team this year. I picked CC because of how each team appeared to do against their opponent on Friday night, the way CC was able to wear down Milan in the second half, and the fact that I'm not going to pick against my team (just like everyone else on here!)
  7. I'll take Crockett Co. in this one... by alot. I feel sure that CC won't be overlooking the Rebels.
  8. Simmer down fellas... the kid is just excited. Yeah, his comment was over the top, but he's been corrected. Let it drop. Less than 24 hrs to go... should be a classic
  9. I'll go with Fearless in today's Jackson Sun: Crockett over Milan (28-21)
  10. This should be a great game and would love to hear some discussion. I'll give my prediction later in the week. Just make sure you get there early!
  11. As I remember, BIG John Henderson was on the line for Pearl Cohn that year.
  12. Crockett Co. - 21 Ripley - 0 no ambulances needed
  13. As an alumni of Dyersburg and a resident/teacher at Crockett Co., I am somewhat torn in who to pull for this weekend. I guess I'll have to look to Robert E. Lee for wisdom and say that I can't side against my home. Crockett 27 Dyersburg 21 Good luck Cavs!
  14. Crockett Co.'s Alberto Diaz finished his high school career with 32 fieldgoals and 182 extra points. This puts him second in state history for both categories. Who can argue this kid isn't deserving of his second Mr. Football Award?
  15. LOL Looking foward to the Dyersburg/Crockett game next year. My alma mater v/s where I live/teach now. No questions about who to pull for... Cavs! thumb
  16. ...but you did. Classy post.
  17. Although I think this will be a hard fought ballgame, I look for the 30 game home winning streak to reach 31. Crockett-27 Lexington-20
  18. The hen is the wisest of all the animal creation because she never cackles until after the egg has been laid. -Abe Lincoln
  19. I think this will be a great game and hate that I'll miss it. If Crockett holds on to the ball... Crockett 31 / McNairy 23
  20. Although I think several people are looking for the upset... Cavaliers 28 Chargers 13
  21. Like I said above...My comments on the injuries were not made to take any credit away from the Bobcats. They were the better team last Friday and injuries are apart of the game. Crockett Co. has been very luck in the fact that over the last few years we have had very few long term injuries. Good luck to the Bobcats this weekend.
  22. The Cavaliers had several nagging injuries coming into the game and several early on last night. Chris Ingram only touched the ball twice (that I recall) and was not able to cut very well on the ankle he hurt last week. The big blow last night was when, Earnest Williams went down early in the game with a high ankle sprain (?). That all but finished off our running game. I believe it would have been a very different game otherwise. Not to take anything away from the Bobcats. Their offensive line was very impressive and their Mr. Football candidate was all that he was talked up to be. Best of luck to the Bobcats the rest of the season and well done Cavaliers. You played your hearts out all season.
