I thought Mr. Pickle was pretty motivated to play, however, I thought the offense didn't look together at all. I would be concerned about the defense, our receivers were wide open all night. Not exactly what Bearden would need against DB. I liked how number 11 ran with the ball, he should get more reps.

Oak Ridge 46 - Bearden 0 Oak Ridge dominated this scrimmage on both sides of the ball. 1st string defense did not give up a first down. The line continues to dominate and looking good. Linebackers did a great job as well. Spencer Gulmire ran very well. Jake Vane did great at fullback. Scott is doing a good job running the offense. We should be very balanced this year. We are a threat both with the run and the pass. The game was shortened due to lightening. Looking forward to Clinton next Thursday!

Good to read that your pre-season is going well. I'm looking forward to seeing a scrimmage at Bearden as it will be my first time to see a game at your field. Should be another good test for our team.

Found this on Ron Bliss's Web Site: D-B won't scrimmage in preseason KINGSPORT -- The TSSAA has given Dobyns-Bennett a two-week no-scrimmage penalty for having practiced with Sullivan Central last week and that will result in the Indians not taking part in a scrimmage before their season opener against Sullivan North on Aug. 20. The Indians were to have scrimmaged Tennessee High last Friday and Knox Halls on Tuesday, but both were cancelled because in the inadvertent violation that would have made D-B ineligible to scrimmage until next Tuesday and with a rule that a team cannot scrimmage the same week it plays a game, that means D-B will go into its opener without going full speed against another school.

Have not heard much from the otherwise wild and crazy Tribe fans. Has DB had any scrimmages the past couple of weeks? How is pre-season going?

We are having a good pre-season and making good progress. I would like to read what others have to write on the upcoming scrimmage.

A lot of the 2nd unit guys got a lot of playing time. However, its looking like to me that we will probably platoon 6 on the D-line once the season starts. It's nice to have depth on the D-Line.
