  1. Congrats to all the Lady Warriors!!! Great confidence and attitude.... keeping it going through the Region! Congrats to Alex Biven, Anne Marie Lanning, and Lauran Hudgins for making the All Tournament team. All the Lady Warriors are All Tournament in my book!!! Riverdale Senior Brittany Steen had major knee surgery on Thursday but was at the game supporting her team on Friday Night....our prayers are with you for a speedy recovery Brit!!!
  2. Lauran Hudgins did have an ACL replacement in July, and she came out of her knee brace only three games ago. She has averaged 17 ppg out of the brace where she was only averaging 10 ppg with it on. She is talking to several colleges, but has not made a decision where she will play as of yet.
  3. Congrats to Riverdale's Lauran Hudgins scored her 1000th career point tonight with back to back treys against Lebanon!!! Way to go girl!!!
  4. Number 25 is my "baby girl" so of course I am a biased parent-lol! Thanks for your interest in this forum as your posts are very informative.
  5. Lanning has a stress fracture on the foot she had surgery on this past spring which was re-injured while playing in Florida over the holidays, Burgess has a stress fracture from an injury playing in Florida, and Steen has a torn ACL which is my understanding will be braced after 3 weeks of therapy so she can finish her senior year and she will have surgery post season. A note of interest since we have discussed injury prevention on this board...Burgess doctor told her the worst thing a player can do is run on the soft sand of the beach and then on the hardwood...the ball of the foot does not adjust quickly enough.... Rehab and get well soon girls....we need you on the court!
  6. Congratualtions to the Riverdale Lady Warriors who won all their games at the Ft. Walton Beach Playground Shootout Tourney over the Holidays! Keep up the good work ladies....
  7. Riverdale hit 9 three's against Coffee County - Anne Marie Lanning-1, Brittany Steen- 1, Alex Bivens-2, and Lauran Hudgins - 5. Lanning finished with 22, Hudgins with 17, Bivens with 15, and Shellina Burgess with 13. Great team play Lady Warriors!!!
  8. Riverdale's Anne Marie Lanning finished with 27 points, Lauran Hudgins hit 5 treys and added 17 points, and Alex Bivens hit 3 treys for 15 points. Lady Warriors played their most balanced game yet. Cookeville started out strong and played hard the entire game.
  9. My daughter tore her ACL in June as the result of a collision on the court. Her physician used a donor patela tendon and with agressive rehab- 5 days a week - she was back on the court in extactly 4 months after her surgery. We were told that a donor tendon would heal much faster and be stronger than one out of her own body - of course there are risks with donor tissue as there are risks with any surgery. The knee she had surgery on is actually stronger than her "good" knee. after therapy. Alot of the recovery depends on the girl and how she follows rehab and physician orders. Everything on this board is opinion, but I believe that the shorter recovery time 4 instead of the traditional 6 months enabled her to remain in better condition overall.
  10. Great News Carol...3-4 weeks will pass in no time! See you soon! You better watch out for that voodoo doll - lol! Love you Ms. Ann and Lauran
  11. Carol - Lauran and I have you in our thoughts and prayers...hang in there...please let us know the outcome from your doctor's visit today! We miss you!
  12. Update from Riverdale - Anne Marie is back and played great last weekend at Franklin County Play Day. Lauran Hudgins should be released to play this coming Monday which will get her back in time for the season opener. Any news on Taylor from Smyrna? We wish all of these players a speedy recovery!
  13. Keith Lauran aka Huggy is doing great - should be released in next week or two...she is running and conditioning hard everyday. We miss you all too....hope to see you soon! Riverdale's schedule is posted on www.riverdalewarriors.com - they will be at Franklin County and Shelbyville playdays. See ya soon....
  14. Lauran got released to run today...she is a month ahead in her accelerated rehab per her physician today...she can start agility training on October 1st- only 11 weeks post surgery. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers as she has been an "experiment" in accelerated rehab... we can't thank Dr. Jordan at Middle TN Orthpedics and Sports Medicine and NHC Therapy enough...
  15. Rehab is going great -Lauran is bending her knee at 100% and can almost completely straighten it...she is out of her brace, off crutches, and riding a bikeand swimming...things are going great - 3 weeks til her next doctor app't. Thank you for your prayers. We are excited that it is time for Riverdale Football!!!
  16. Thank you riverdaleman - we appreciate your prayers, and the welcome to Warrior family... Lauran is doing awesome - she is on an aggressive rehab schedule, and is actually ahead of schedule in her recovery. Plans are for her to be back on the court November 1st.
  17. Thank you for all the thoughts, prayers, and phone calls about Lauran. Her doctor said surgery went absolutely great - rehab starts Monday for 4 months including physical therapy 5 days a week. Her goal is to be back 100% around Thanksgiving. We love and miss you guys too!!!
  18. Thank you for your concern...Lauran has a ACL hanging by a few fibers and a strained MCL. Surgery for ACL replacement is scheduled July14th in Murfreesboro. Physician is confident she will be back in time for basketball season....
  19. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers - Lauran had her MRI this morning and will get the results at her Doctor's appointment in Thursday. Her attitude is great and she plans to come back stronger than ever no matter the results.
  20. Lauran Hudgins, transfer to Riverdale, went down with a knee injury at MTSU Team Camp yesterday - preliminary report is a torn MCL and partially torn ACL. MRI is scheduled for Tuesday for an accurate diagnosis. Please keep Lauran in your prayers...she is strong and will be back as soon as physically possible.
  21. Very Interesting.... I thought she would be an ineligible player
  22. No burr - I was just asked the question and could not answer myself and threw it out here. This is not a club team/AAU team- it is a high school team. Player will be an 8th grader next year will not be in high school so not eligible to try out yet for high school...
  23. Can a coach dress and play a middle school player during high school games during team camp? It is my understanding that unless that middle school is at the camp that would be a TSSAA violation by the school? Does anyone know the ruling?
