How well is CAK going to compete in their district? Who do they have coming back to fill the shoes of last years seniors?

What is the word on what Ingle Martin is doing over at CPA? Are they completely changing the defense and offense from what the old regime had installed?

Does anyone have a realistic idea of what is going to happen with this situation? I say get Coach James to be head coach and let Rayl, Mr. Roberts, and Baker be assistants. Someone find Coach Webb. He can be another assistant and will definitely put the fire into those kids. Haha.

Meigs has a history in these region semi-final games and it's not good. Since 1993 Meigs has went to the region tournament every year except '99 and '02, but they have only won that first region game twice. They won last year and the only other win came in '96 when they had arguably the best team in the state that year. If I remember correct it was Grundy that they played in '96. Point being is that they usually don't have the best of luck when it comes to these games.

This would be the 3rd straight year that these two teams have met in this game. Had WV not entered the district then they would probably have played for the district championship five years in a row. What a rivalry!

Region 3-2A has had a lot of Mr. Football nominees in the past with Tyner having a lot, Meigs having about 5, and Marion Co. having a few, including Eric Westmoreland.

DL 38 GP 35 Cutler Robetson kicked a field on the last play to win it.

I like the matchup between Sweetwater and Tyner. I wish they would try to play each other during the regular season because the only way can play against one another and it count is in the semi-finals of the playoffs.

Does Roger Webb still coach there?

I bet none of the younger guys on here have even heard of North Dallas Forty before this thread. It is a great movie in my opinion. My favorite scenes are in the locker room before the game starts, especially John Matusak.

I heard that Meigs beat Polk 14-0 and they play Walker Valley tomorrow. Anyone want to confirm?

What happened here? I knew Oak Ridge was vastly improved but I didn't think they were that much better than McMinn. Anybody know the game story?
