We had our frustrations also. After the Bearden loss. The Maryville coaches went away from the 3 man front and turned the freshmen quarterback loose.

Is 16 the Quarterback for Science Hill now? I thought he looked good vs Maryville earlier this season.

What has happened to the Elizabethon and Greeneville fans? Usually a Elizabethon and Greeneville thread is up to 10 pages by now.

The Freshmen team dresses 65 kids. They are killing everyone. Even without Will Jones they are dominant. I never seen anything like this Freshmen team. They play very few kids both ways. That is unheard of in Freshmen Football. Only thing that worries me is will Thomas Manu play somewhere else. Sure would love to see him at Maryville for his High School career.

I will never want to drop this rivalry. I love seeing Maryville beat Alcoa. Alcoa will win another 3A Title. Honest truth it doesn't bother me one bit Alcoa has won more State Titles than Maryville. Alcoa doesn't have someone like Oakland to deal with. I love the fact that Maryville owns a 43 game lead in the series. No matter how many State Titles Alcoa wins. Losing to Maryville 25 times in the last 30 seasons tears them up.

I was right. Those 5 turnovers helped a lot. Give Maryville credit for forcing the turnovers.

I don't care if Farragut is 3 6. They are a dangerous team. They could have easily won 3 of those games they lost. I also know Maryville has come out flat after big wins over Alcoa in the past. This will be a tough game.

What a great win by Maryville. Feels a lot better than 3 weeks ago. Amazing how much better the defense looked after the Defensive coaches went with a 4 man front. I am excited that Gage Ladue is back. Hope Ory Vananda Walker comes back. Can't have enough running backs. Will Jones has looked really good at Quarterback.

Maryville could play a 3 man front with those guys.

Don't know how the rest of the Maryville season will go. I know I am fired up about the future. Will Jones will shatter all the records before he is through. Maryville also has a lot of kids coming back. Sophomore class is good. Freshmen are loaded. They have dominated all year even without Will Jones.

If Maryville plays like they did in the 1st half vs Cleveland they will have a shot. Maryville will have to play well and hope Alcoa makes a bunch of mistakes. Alcoa will be tough to beat.

Where has this team been? Derek opened up the offense and didn't see the 3 man front.

I know Hardin Valley isn't the best team out there. I thought Maryville looked good on offense. Will Jones makes a huge difference. It is awesome that Maryville has a stud Quarterback for the next 4 seasons. As Stars said a lot of sophomores are playing well. I am amazed at this team. By far their best player gets hurt. Casey Cobble gets hurt. He may not get the Quarterback job back. Can he play receiver? Zeke McCoy and Jonah Arms has missed a few games.

Offense looked a lot better when Will Jones was Quarterback. Oly Vananda Walker ran the ball really hard. Great interception by Hunter Olivet. That was a great retirement present for his grandfather. How in the world did the coaching staff at Science Hill not see that #16 should be Quarterback? That young man was impressive.

What's more impressive is Maryville has another stud freshmen quarterback

Last year was lack of QB,WR and DB play. Injury to stud RB didn't help. This year the injury bug has killed Maryville. Losing Gage Ladue killed Maryville. Doesn't help that starting QB and best Olineman is hurt also.

I think they both will stay. Will Jones was born to be a quarterback. His older brother and dad were quarterbacks. Thomas Manu is really good at Quarterback. Thomas Manu was a receiver at Maryville Junior High last year. I would play Manu at Quarterback and Receiver. His quickness is a lot like AJ Davis. Manu has good speed also. He was outrunning the West Freshmen defense last night. What is crazy is the Maryville Freshmen team was without its best running back Will Young last night.

Both of Maryville's freshmen quarterbacks were the stars of those games. Both are really good.

I heard he could be back before the playoffs. It is no guarantee that Maryville will make the playoffs. Bearden,Cleveland and Farragut are good teams.

I saw on the Bradley vs Walker Valley thread where Bradley fans said they were ranked #1.

For this Maryville team there are no gimmies. I still think Maryville would be a good team if they were healthy. Losing Gage Ladue has killed this Maryville team.
