I think White Co. has a great chance to beat Siegel Friday night. White Co. is better than they have been the past couple of years. I think they can give the rest of the Boro teams a great game, but not sure how many wins they can pull out. Good luck Warrors!!!! Go get em!!!

Coach2001...White Co. gave Shelbyville a few beatings in the 90's. We only played about once or twice in the 80's. We may give them a few more in the few years to come unless Shelbyville goes out and finds{I won't say recruits} another Fuller and Newman somewhere. I'm sure he'll try.

ran...Are both teams that young? I thought some of the best players for Oakland and Riverdale were Seniors? Just curious?

devilfanatic.....Are you aware that UNDEFEATED Jackson Northside beat Ridgeway by 16 this year and Ridgeway has 2 loses. Or is Ridgeway #1 simply because they beat Jackson Co.? That's the only problem I have with your poll.

90warrior....I see other people are messing up this thread and are talking about things other than 7-AAA. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Shelbyville does not have the #1 program in the country. Oregon City, Christ the King, and of others have better programs. They have lost 3 times already because they were obviously WAY overrated by USA Today.

After seeing what Oakland did to Riverdale I will have to move them up to 3rd in my previous picks. Looks like J. Grandstaff has Oakland playing good so far. Is the big girl Riddle still playing for Oakland?

White Co. is at LA this Saturday.

I was waiting on the conclusion of the White Co. vs. Warren Co. game before I made a prediction on this toughest District{top to bottom} in the state. I will say at the end of the regular season it will be White Co. with the best record with Cookeville second. I believe Riverdale will be 3rd even though they lost to McMinnville. Oakland, Blackman, and McMinnville will battle it out for 4th, and then Lebanon and then Siegel will be last. Just my opinion.

I have no problem with Shelbyville losing games because I'm not a fan, but from what I can see they are missing that consistent 3 point shooting from the guards they lost to graduation last year{Tate and Dye}. Anybody agree? Just my opinion.

It wasn't luck. We were just better than you last year. White Co. is AAA{barely a big enough school to be AAA} and except for the last 5 or 6 years we would have beaten you by 30 EVERY time and your boys too{which we can beat this year I might add}. You girls might beat us this year at your place. We would probably win at our place. I am not going to fuss anymore on this subject{Jackson vs. White Co.}. The school I root for has a few gold balls and silver balls in its trophy case and W.C.H.S. is really only known for having good basketball teams, but I don't mention them{gold balls} in every other post here on coacht like some people do{he he}. As far as the York game. I'm making no excuses. Fact...only 5 players were able to practice the Monday before the game due to flu and 20% shooting from the field is a stat. I blame nothing on refs.

My earlier post said AA is weaker statewide. I mentioned nothing about this area. York has a good team, but that loss was a fluke. White Co. had players with the flu, shot 20% from the field, and still nearly won the game because they were leading by 4 with 40 sec. to play. I'm not going to make a prediction about us and Livingston. I think these teams are evenly matched. Besides, we were 2-0 against them last year and both teams have pretty much the same players as last year. And by the way, we were 1-0 against Jackson Co.{woo-hoo!!!!} last year. AAA STATEWIDE is also much weaker now than in the early to mid 90's. And yes, AA is still weaker now statewide than it was 10 years ago.

I knew it was Lady Blue Devils. I remember you posting "Lady Warriors". I was checking your sense of humor because you were giving fellow White Co. fan {90warrior} a hard time and all he{or she} was doing was giving their opinion by putting out their own rankings. Jealous? Not me. AA basketball has been very weak statewide for 5 or 6 years now. I'm happy for Jackson Co. I just believe they couldn't touch some of the powerhouses like South Greene back in the early 90's or Livingston's teams of 89, 90, 94, 95,96{Krantz, Watson, and Co.}.

If Livingston beats White Co. they{Livingston} can definitely beat Jackson Co.

cavfan1....Cookeville had no where near as many students at the game as White Co. did. What's up with this overrated stuff? I heard the Cookeville students chanting that last night. You have to be ranked high to say a team is overrated. White Co. isn't ranked high by any means.

This was a close one. Cookeville made their free throws when it counted and held on for the win. These were 2 evenly matched teams. I believe Cookeville won by 5.

Congrats Warriorettes. Shouldn't of came down to overtime, but a wins a win. White Co. led most of the way by 6 to 8 points, but Cookeville hit a desperation 3 pointer from about 30 feet at the buzzer to force the overtime. I believe White Co. actually led by 11 at one point.

Play the kids in Lawrence Co. Don't go get kids from surrounding counties. You'll have a much more respectful bball program that way.

gomabsilk...White Co. has been to the state twice since Jolly left and was 27-7 last year. I wouldn't call that nothing. Lots of high schools would love to be able to say that.

That Cleveland team was 97. They were good, but lost that year to a young White Co. team that won the state in 98 and 99. Good but not unstoppable.
