RR I might not like them, but I do respect them! Although I may be classified as a "Hater" I have sense enough to know that, (in the words of the group "Alabama") "You can't keep a good man down". Regardless of where the rebels land, the very least they will do is compete. More than likely they will dominate as in the past years. When you have kids involved in "the program" for years and years, you can't help but dominate. Congrats to Maryville for continuing a winning program. PS When people say that your program is taking a dive after going 38 and 1. They are just plain ole football ignernt! Hmmm....let's see, excellent academics and smart students, above average athletes every year, first class feeder system, out of zone tuition paying students, top quality coaching staff, first class facilities, consistent domination of current classifiacation over the past 5 years... ding ding ding... Maryville wins way too much...look at all of these unfair advantages...quick, someone needs to contact the TSSAA immediately and get MHS moved to 5A, or better yet, Division 2 where they belong so we can level the playing field in 4A! It just isn't fair... Sound familiar to anyone? Don't kid yourselves people. Maryville is one of the premier programs in the state year in and year out. They will field championship caliber teams that make the playoffs for years to come for the reasons listed above. It doesn't matter if they play at 4A ot 5A. Get real and get used to it.

WaCoJaCo and StanTrott appear to have difficulty being objective. Be nice to them though, it is really painful for them to see these Division 2 schools ranked so highly in comparison to their favorites. If you are basing your estimate on stadium capacity you are way off. Vanderbilt Stadium has a capacity of 41,200. The announced attendance was 14,500 which is 1/3 of capacity. That seems about right from where I was sittng.

C'mon Reb, be fair! Don't accuse me by inference of saying LC didn't have a good defense. That is a cheap shot. I would say Falcons probably have one of the top 10 defenses in the state. Just not in the top 3!

Sorry Reb, those are good teams you listed, but I can still say with confidence that they don't match up with BA, CBHS, and MBA this year, especially on defense.

If you really believe that you don't know as much about football as you think you do. BA may have lost convincingly to the beat team in the state but they still remain any legitimate top 10 and probably in the top 5. The quality of competition they played and beat this season speaks for itself.

First of all, way to go Rebels. Second,WesVols I'm glad to see you have come to your senses, I agree team for team with your rankings. Third, you Franklin people are still looking through maroon tinted glasses. Sure BA lost in the finals, but I promise you their opponent is in a class by themselves this year. Without a doubt BA had a running oriented offense this year. With that said, you must remember they were able to run the ball very effectively against an extremely talented CBHS defense, and they beat MBA the first time around with the running game. Its one thing to recognize the fact they like to run the ball, and its another thing to stop it. Holbert and Townsend are as good as any backs in the state, and their line is big and tough. Franklin is good, but they haven't faced any teams with defenses of the caliber of BA, MBA, and CBHS. Good luck to the Rebels the rest of the way. Bring the 5A championship trophy back to WILLIAMSON COUNTY!

Sorry people, there is no tie at #1. With all due respect to the Rebs, they are an excellent team, but a solid #2 behind the Eagles. Wes, I can't believe you wimped out on this one. No one is trying to discount your opinion. If you will review the thread, you will see that brothers15 wasn't on the defensive until your thoughtless and personally insulting post in response to him. All I'm saying is, you guys can make your point much better without the personal insults. Give us a reason to respect you, instead of vice versa.

I agree, it has been a fantastic year in the county. I think the number of teams in the playoffs speaks volumes about the popularity of football here and the overall quality of the coaches that have been put in place. I am not sure about the answers to your questions. Maybe someone else knows.
