  1. It is hard for any of those four teams to make it to state. Yes home court advantage does help A LOT. Upperman murdered the Chargerettes at Tn Tech 2 years ago, last year they had home court advantage and won. The more fans, the more support, the more confidense= the better chance to win. My prediction is this-Jackson vs. Walker Valley at Jackson. Livingston vs. McMinn Central at Central...I would like to see McMinn Central and Walker Valley both go to state, but it will hard for any of these four teams to go. This is four of the top 8 teams in the state, but only 2 of them gets to go. That proves that the 8 best teams don't always get to go to the big show. But that is what I think. Home court plays a huge advantage.
  2. Were any of you all at the game when the chargerettes got beat at Oliver Springs? 4 out of the 5 starters fouled out and no oliver springs players even got into foul trouble. So you all just got a taste of your own medicine. The Chargerettes still would've killed you all even if the refs were 100% on your side because the Lady Cats did not show up to play. Yeah, Hall had 12 points, and yes she did have the ball a lot. She also turned it over a lot. And the Chargerettes did not triple team her. They ran their normal press that they couldn't run at Oliver Springs because every time Hall got into a little bit of pressure they would call a foul...Chargerettes, congradulations. Oliver Springs, you all couldn't miss a shot at your place, you deserved to win there because the Chargerettes played their worst game of the season there. The refs did not win this game for the Chargerettes last night. They were just allowed to play like they can. Way to go Chargerettes, if we play Oliver Springs again, we will beat them by even more.
  3. Beau Brown from McMinn central is Defeinetely a freshman stud. He is pretty much a starter, and really helps out the team. When Central almost beat Cleveland's boys last Tuesday, he had 22 points and like 5 assists. The boy can play, and he is going to be a straight baller by the time he is a senior. Look out for him.
  4. Charles Little is the best sophmore I have seen. He has a lot of strength and height. He does not play like he is in high school, even though he may act like a 2 year old, haha, just kidding, anyways, he is really good. He and Mark Riden from Central battled all night, and Charles will have to admit that Mark didn't do a horrible job defending him...But he is definetely the best sophmore that I have seen...if he keeps progressing like he should I think that he could be a very good basketball player by his senior year, he is already really good!
  5. I have an extrememly weak ankle. I have tried every strengthening technique in the book, but everytime I try and play without it taped, I roll it. Braces aren't even strong enough for me. I have tried six different ones, and the only thing that works for me is tape. I don't think that it is a thing as becoming reliant on it, but more of a prevention thing. If you are a good player with weak ankles, if you hurt your ankle, it could put you out for weeks. So it is only safe for a lot of players to wear braces or tape. I don't believe that it does them any harm.
  6. I think that this will be a close game, coming down to the wire. I think that Walker Valley has the better post, and that Clevelands post will have trouble guarding them. I think Holly Rogers will have trouble handling the pressure of Osha Parks, so will Allison Rader. Buckaloo might be hard for Walker Valley to defend, I wouldn't be surprised if they put Mindy Cox on her. Overall, I think that these two teams match up well, and that it will be a close game.
  7. I think in the NBA that the heart is just not in the game anymore. I mean, the guys are getting paid millions even if they sit on the bench and look pretty and they know that even if they go out and play like crap that they will still get paid, therefore, why play hard? I just don't think that the love for the game is there once someone reaches the professional level in any sport. Also, next time someone watches NBA, watch the players feet. All they do is walk. If the refs called all the walks, both teams would have 30 or more turnovers a game. The NBA is almost a joke anymore, I think.
  8. "seeding" my bad!! you all knew what I meant.
  9. Who do you think will win this game? If Central wins, they automatically have 1st place seating in the district tournament, but if Walker Valley wins, they will be tied. It wasn't very close last game, but Walker Valley was missing Heidi Rominger and Mindy Cox got into foul trouble really early, so it will probably be closer this time, plus it is on Walker Valley's floor. McMinn Central is the only team that has beat them this year, so you know they want it bad. I still pick Central by 10 or more. What do you all think?
  10. Congradulations Bradley!!! I was rooting for you from the stands! Way to come in and beat Cleveland for the first time this season on their home floor. Everyone who played did awesome. I just have one quick question for anyone, does anyone know Wes Suitor's e-mail address?
  11. I pick Cleveland by at least 10 probably more...they have way too much talent in my opinion for Bradley to handle. All Cleveland has to do is put all that talent together, and they will come out on top.
  12. I pick Cleveland by 5 or more. I don't think that it will go in overtime. Cleveland has a great team, so does Bradley, but I think Cleveland will come out with the win. Good luck to both teams, but especially Aaron and his team, good luck!
  13. I don't think the girls ever even had a shot. I commend the McMinn Central boys. I think they played great. Smith did step up, he had 23 points, what more could he have done? I agree, someone else needed to step up. He can't do it all. He played really good, Mark Riden, and Ryan Armstrong played great, the whole team did. Congrats Chargers. You deserved this one.
