7A isn't in Greenfield's region. 7A played 8A. Greenfield would be playing in a West Tennessee region, not Middle TN.

7A swept 8A in the first round of the region. Does anyone know if now the semifinals and championship will be back at Livingston? 7A fans shouldn't have to drive way down there to watch our teams play.

Why would they? A foreign exchange student is no different than any other student in a school, other than they have come to the US to experience our culture. I place them in schools. We want then to return to their country having had a great experience here and will share good will about the US with family, friends and other students.

I place foreign exchange students. They are allowed to play sports and encouraged to. They are supposed to be engaged in school activities whether it be sports or clubs.

They can beat Pickett? East Robertson lost to Gordonsville. Pickett Co beat Gordonsville by 27 and 30.

Yes...and it was AT Coffee County, a school TEN TIMES the size of Pickett Co and ranked #2 in the state on Coacht. A top 4A school at home vs a very small 1A team. What is YOUR point?

Yes...all they have are 5 GOLD BALLS for the girls and 2 GOLD BALLS for the boys. The girls are #4 in the state and beat #2 Clarkrange at Clarkrange by 11 tonight. They boys are #1 in the state and made it to the state semi-finals last year...poor Pickett Co, that's all they have. Coach Smith's teams under perform in the post season??? They went to the state tournament FIVE of the last seven years...that takes a whole lost of post season district tournament wins, a lot of region tournament wins and a lot of substrate wins. You call that under performing??? lol Sounds like someone is VERY JEALOUS.

After not playing all that well in the first half, the Lady Bobcats (#4 in the AP poll) settled down and pulled away from #2 Clarkrange for the 11 point win. Coach Rogers helped PC by getting a technical when Pickett Co was pulling away. He had been given a warning and then got a second instead of a technical right then. As the official walked away, Rogers continued talking and got hit with the T. PC made 2 free throws on a foul and the 2 technical free throws. The win elevated PC to 3-0 in the district with wins over #6 Red Boiling Springs and Gordonsville.

Very doubtful. Pickett Co hasn't lost to any team under 4A. Their three losses were to 4A teams. They have 4 wins over 3A teams. Will Amonett has been out but Heath Wattenberger has been very impressive starting now. Will should be back. They have 4 starters who are great 3 point shooters so if you try to double team one player, someone else will drain a three. They had 12 alone in the first half in one game and mostly subs played the 2nd half and added 4 more...against 3A Cannon Co This may be the best PC team since the 1995 state champions...led by Mr Basketball Joseph Amonett who is now our coach. This team has his 3 sons...two senior starters and a freshman starter. Beat by many single A teams? None yet and it's more like there are few teams in single A that could beat them.

4A Powell came into the game unbeaten and ranked #7 but the Lady Bobcats of Pocket Co beat them 69-65. The Lady Bobcats start 2 freshmen, 2 sophomores and a senior. 6th player is a sophomore. They won the South Fork Christmas Tournament at Oneida.

A packed house saw York blow Clay Co out of the gym 96-70. They took off from the start and in the 2nd half were up by 32 maybe 34 points. Had York left in the 2nd team another minute they would have gone over 100, but put in their 3rd team against Clay Co's 2nd team which was able to cut the York lead at the end to 26. York's fans were deafening. This was expected to be a barn burner but York had too many great players and is far more balanced than Clay. They'll meet again at Clay Co. later in the season.

When Pickett Co hit their 12th three pointer in the first half, the Cannon Co coach turned to the crowd and said something about PC not playing football. And Cannon Co does? They play neither football nor basketball. PC had 16 threes and a 30 point lead...with some subs in. CC closed the gap on PC against the last group of PC subs hitting 3 threes. As for football? Cannon Co has had SIX 0-10 seasons, SIX 1-9 seasons and two 2-8 seasons in the last 20 years. They have had 3 winning seasons...7-5, 6-5 and 6-5. With 195 students it's tough for a small school like PC to have football without a feeder program. The Cannon Co coach should try to improve his team instead of trying to insult PC...a school 1/3 the size of CC.

All cities in Tennessee are democratic, or weren't you aware that all cities vote. If you are meaning Democratic Party, keep your politics to yourself. This is a basketball message board, not a political whining board.

What happened to Clarkrange on Saturday? I thought they were going to play a couple of games. There's a game listed with North Greene but there's no score and no other game is listed. If Clarkrange played, someone should post their scores.

After seeing PC play three games, if they are down, it's not noticeable. They look very good.

Macon Co? They lost all their starters. It's not like they beat a good team.

Loretta and Gibson Co. are AA

The district is usually the best or one of the best in the state but Clarkrange and Pickett Co. lost heavily to graduation. Clay Co may be the favorite, but the district is weaker than it has been in a long long time. PC and Clarkrange have plenty of young talent and will bounce back. PC has maybe the best player in Shayla Wood, while Clarkrange would say their Matty Bush is the best.

York played in the toughest district with Upperman and Macon Co. Last year they beat state #1 Upperman in the region and went to the substate. They nearly beat eventual state champion Macon Co. in the region final. York will run away with that district and region. Jackson Co??? They have been very very weak for several years and show no sign of improving.

I don't think they are in their substrate anymore.

Talent ran out? Hardly! York is loaded and could easily make the state tournament.
