What #11 was doing on the field goal didn't look good, but technically since he was an eligible player motion by him is not a false start. As long as he wasn't moving forward it's not a false start, just has to be set on the snap. With as many holds and false starts that the refs missed I don't want to hear it about that play.

Great game from both teams. I thought MHS would win by several TDs, but Alcoa certainly brought it tonight. The head ref was a county guy and has always hated Maryville. I usually cringe when I see him calling our games, but I actually think Don is about as good of a white hat as we have in Blount County. Rankin is about as big of a crybaby as I've ever seen. Him and Goose refusing to shake hands after the game..... SMH

We've not heard much about "evidence" since the boy's mom chimed in...

Let's not forget the fact that MHS is a much better school. It's insulting to the parents to suggest academics couldn't play a role here

Rosser is not coming to Maryville as an assistant, or HFC for that matter. If this were a wide-open search then I would love for Rosser or any other minority candidate to be in the running, but this isn't a wide-open search.

It's definitely a big deal. 2 hour bus trips, 3 buses deep, will absolutely be tough to manage and expensive

I can just about guarantee Mike White did not agree to play 8 minute quarters. I wasn't there, and this wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong, but I've seen Mike fighting mad about 8 minute quarters.

The problem with almost every post in this thread by you is that kids are not coming from great distances to attend MHS & play football. George Quarles doesn't recruit because he doesn't have to. Almost all of our kids go to Maryville schools K-12 & almost all that don't have families who have moved within the Maryville city limits. I'll bet if we posted our starting roster from last week posters could trace back each player's history of attending Maryville.
