  1. Come on now if you vote 1-3 you should atleast make a post and give some reasoning. You must be a Colts fan.
  2. 1A R4 looks like its the softest region in tennessee football.
  3. They lost 6 or 7 key players so its not looking so good for them. They lost the starting QB,FB,RB,2LB's, and a few lineman that were big time players. Those shoes will be hard to fill. Hillsboro usually has players waiting in line to step it up but all I can think is how good Fridge, Tibbs, Doss, Peoples, Fischer, and Atkins were. That was a serious squad and thats why they won it all. Kevin McCants will definitely be the player to watch for the burros this season.
  4. I had alot of fun watching Kori Bledsoe play last year. Good to hear she got a D1 scholarship.
  5. I think it is a great idea and would make down town Nashvilel much more attractive. The new gate way bridge looks great as does river front park and the coliseum, a nice ball park would make it that much better. When Memphis built autozone park downtown attendance went from 200,000 a year to 900,000 and the sounds are projected at 400,000 so theres no telling how big of an impact it could have on attendance. I know I would go to more games. I'm also a big fan on improving the looks of downtown and this would be drastic.
  6. Whats MTSU looking like for this season? I know there are some blue raider fans out there with the inside scoop. Are they playing that SEC schedule again?
  7. I dont really care what the jersey looks like as long as the team improves and makes the post season again. I hope they go after atleast one of the big 3 on the market.

  9. being the diehard Titans fan that I am I want to say 16 but that hasnt been done in 32 years so I'm going to go with 13-14.
  10. Riverdales D will be pretty tough, but it isint easy to replace a couple linebackers.
  11. If Coker has a good work ethic he's definitly going to be a player to watch this season. He was the fastest guy in the state last year so does that mean he will be bigger, faster, and stronger this year? I hope so.

Sad to hear Carl Gettis is leaving, he gonna be a serious player some where or another. I would say Ezell's 3 year run is over, but it is football and crazy things do happen.
  13. RB- Antiono Lewis, Hillwood.
  14. I never said Holcomb played tail back for the rams I know he played FB I was just saying hes way more likely to get the ball then Lorenzo Neal was. Holcomb was a great full back for Stl and also carried the ball every once and again. Also you are crazy if you think anyones defense was worried when Eddie was in the game. Do your research and look at how Eddie is falling at 4.6 meters per second.
  15. Did anyone see where news channel 5 was at the Titans training camp showing Chris Browns quickness as he took the first round reps?(please dont reply and say its just because Eddie is recovering for surgery, I all ready know) After watching that and then seeing Eddies interview I realize how much of a class act and a leader he is. Now I say we should keep him and let Chris Brown beat him out in mini camp as the starting back, Eddie would make a great #2. If Eddie does stay I bet the training camp battle will be something to watch over at the baptist sports park.
  16. I dont understand how you can say Eddie has one more year of productivity when he's already had negative 3. How can you say Eddie was productive last season? He is the worst back that gets the most carries. You could put a late round rookie back in and he could get 3 yards per carry. Also how are you going to say Chris Brown has fumblitis? He only fumbled one time last yeah in the regualr season and playoffs. And dont think the opposition was scared Lorenzo Neal was going to get the ball, he got 3 carries in 2 seasons. I'm sure they were terrified. And then you say holcomb's not the answer, he sure was the answer for the Rams when they beat us in the super bowl. Players like Derrick Mason and Samari Rolle will play hard ball with their contracts becasue they are close to the top of the league at their position, not close to the bottom. Its just plain crazy to say Eddie will ever be extremely effective ever again. His glory days are gone. Learn to love and let go!
  17. I agree that Eddie is a good person with a great work ethic but this is a business. Eddie is a great pass blocker I will give you that. But If hes not able to run the ball we should just put another lineman in and let them take Eddies place and pass block. Eddies primary job is to run the ball, which he doesnt do so well. Also do your research and you will see that 75% of the time last season Eddie had a fullback on the field. Sure Eddie is durable and hes going to get his 3ypc, but thats like having a employee that works for you that always shows up on time but dont get much work done. How many times have you seen Eddie tackle himself or fall when a 190lb corner smack his foot? I know its more than I can count. I do believe Eddie would be a great back up for CB and if CB goes down then Eddie could do enough to get the job done. If Chris Brown is givin 20 carries a game he will show out guaranteed. Take a look at what backs like Rudi Johnson(4th round pick), Dominck Davis(4th round pick), Clinton Portis(2nd round pick), Kevan Barlow (3rd round pick) have done. They are all middle round picks fairly new to the league with fresh legs. Some of them are out rushing Eddie with very mediocre front lines. Look at what Lee Suggs and Onterrio Smith did towards the end of the season, both backs took after Chris Brown in last years draft. Brown has nothing but success written all over him. Eddie is on his way down hill and just doesnt have it anymore. It was fun while it lasted but he just doesnt have what these young backs have. Remember what Deshaun Foster did in the playoffs last season? Running over and around 4 or 5 people. Wouldnt you like to see more of that and less of heres the ball now fall forward for 3 yards? I at least want someone who has the ability to break a long run. After Chris Brown breaks a 50 yarder this season everyone will quickly forget about Eddie and his contract situation. Eddie is just considered dangerous. I just really wish this crap would be settled and the season could get here. I'm going so crazy without any NFL news that I'm on coacht typing my own!
  18. I'm ready, I believe it will be the most successful season in a good while. What does everyone else think?

Its good to have confidence and it is true that you guys could get it together and do something this season, thats why you play the games! But you should also get times out of your head because running a 4.7 in a straight line means nothing more than just that, actually running the football is a totally different story. Good luck to you guys though.
  20. I'm ready to see what the jerseys look like.
  21. I'm getting tired of all this talk about Eddie George. I believe Eddie still has a little in the tank to put together a few more decent seasons but his time here is done. I love Eddie and he will go down and one of the most durable backs in the history of the league but all good things must come to an end. Eddie just doesnt have what it takes to hit a hole before it closes or break a long run. Ive sit in my seat and the coliseum for the past 3 years and watched Eddie right, Eddie left, and Eddie middle for a 3 yard gain. Sure we were running the clock out... protecting a lead....blah blah blah, but I remember so many times when I got to thinking here we go with this crap again trying to run the clock out and letting another team get back in the game and sometimes letting them come back to win. I believe if ive did something for 3 quarters and my team is up by a decent figure then we should continue to do what we did to get the lead because its obviously working for us. Now am I saying this is all Eddies fault? No, because 90% of the time the opposition knew what we were going to do anyways. But I see other backs around the league breaking big runs in the 4th when they are just "running the clock out." Not here! Eddie averaged 3.3 ypc last season wich was worst among all starting backs. Chris Brown had 256 less carries than Eddie and still had a longer run than him. Eddie is just not what we need anymore. Every time Chris Brown touches the ball there is a chance for a big play. Does anyone remeber the playoffs this year when Eddie was his normal self (3.3ypc no tds) and Chris Brown was showing what a younger and faster back was capable of (5.3ypc 2tds). Brown only had about 5 games NFL experience and was out there showing that he was more capable then a all pro seasoned vetran. The glory days are over and theres a new kid on the block! I'm not ready to give Eddie another chance to prove he can play like he once did, weve gave him 3 years. Give Chris all of Eddies carries not half of them, I'm sure he can atleast rack up 3.3ypc and 5 td's on the season.
  22. DCA is the clear favorite imo.

Dugans and Gettis are big shoes to fill so unless they have a few kids that step up on a serious note then dont look for Ezell to go very far this year. DCA and CPA are definitely the teams to beat in region 5 1A.
