  1. Quick question. If CPA beats Pearl Cohn last night and with this loss for East Lit does that put CPA in the playoffs? Thanks in advance.
  2. I'd bet York will go West and Tyner East. Other than that it looks pretty good. If you swapped those two teams what would the brackets look like?
  3. Goodpasture will not run it up if they were to get a big lead on a team. I've only seen them do it once in 16 years. That was a payback deal. Other than that it just won't happen. Part of the GCS success is playing young ones in as many games as they can.
  4. According to Sonny Moore's site. Goodpasture has the 4 ranked toughest schedule with Smith Co. having the 27th ranked toughest schedule in 3A.
  5. Well according to a number of statistics you can't do math. Again if you have proof then do something about it. If not, you need to quit accusing people of things based off dislike and ignorance.
  6. I work with a guy that looks like that dude.
  7. If you've got proof of something illegal then report it. Otherwise back away from your computer and take a break.
  8. Come on. This is high school football not a nuclear crisis. Some of you guys need to lighten up a little.
  9. Goodpasture doesn't have anywhere near the money of the schools you just mentioned and would not be able to compete in a financial aid division with those teams.
  10. So let me get this straight. A coach goes to three consecutive state finals and last year follows up with a trip to the state semi finals and he needs to be put out to pasture. Makes a lot of sense. I'm assuming you are from another school and enjoy stirring it up because that is completely insane. Fact is they don't have a ton of talent like they've had in recent years. Bottom Line. They are still good but probably not great this year. Plus all they do is play school with 1000 plus kids every week. And on the Alcoa thing. NOBODY IN 2A has given them a real game in 6 years. Not just Goodpasture. I mean nobody. Last year was by far the least talented Alcoa they've had in five years and they were still up 28-7 in the fourth quarter.
  11. November 2nd, 2002. http://history.goodpasturefootball.com
  12. Come on guys. This is High School football not life and death. It will all work out. Their either good or their not but let's not jump on these kids. Most important is they are healthy, go to class and graduate, and have a good time. I'm sure they are disappointed and they certainly don't need armchair coaches on a message board talking down about them. That includes me. So I say let's chill out and see what happens going forward.
  13. Goodpasture All games on AM 1360 in Nashville. Can be heard on line at http://GoodpastureFootball.com. You can also follow live on http://twitter.com/goodpasturefoot If you come to the stadium you can listen in stadium at 105.5 FM
  14. If they are recruiting turn them in and then you won't have to worry about it. And instead of whining as you have done for years make your school an open enrollment school like Alcoa. They don't have problems with beating Goodpasture. Get better instead of handcuffing yourself and trying to take down others.
  15. This is the reason you don't post about Goodpasture. All you do is get bashed by people who hate your guts for your success. If it said Mt. Juliet Christian on the helmet they would have no problem with it.
  16. Back in the early 90's you couldn't tell the three of them apart. GP changed their uni's last in 2001 to what you see current day. I for one am pulling for the change. We'll see though.
  17. Agreed. My understanding though is that there are some that are not fond of the change and that it may not happen at all. At least for the helmets. I think the whit uni's are a done deal.
  18. If you go and look there are multiple winged helmets out there. Compare Deleware and Michigan and you will see they are not the same winged helmets. The winged helmet pre dates Michigan and is used in many forms. I know you are all knowing but perhaps a little homework on your part would at least be a start. As for throwing the football, they will do more of that next year. I would say you could see 10 passing attempts per game. Maybe 12. It will be out of the wing t with the wings stepping an extra 3 to 4 feet out. The majority of the snaps will still be out of the base wing.
  19. Some corrections. They are not going to the Michigan uniforms. They are thinking about the Deleware helmets. Makes since seeing as how they run the Deleware wing t. They will also continue to run the Wing T next year as well. Not all the uniforms are changing. Only the away uni's and they don't look like Michigans. As for the defense, it is my understanding there will be some personnel moves but the base will remain what it always has been. Hope that clears some things up.
  20. The Sonny Moore Poll has Lewis Co. as a 7 point favorite. Massey predictions has Lewis Co. by 11. Earl Nall's poll has Lewis Co. as a significant favorite. Also Murphy Fair picked Lewis Co. Friday night, on the Nashville radio show, to go to at least the Semi's. The favorites shoe is on the other foot from 2006.
  21. Thanks for the nice words. It was a tough physical football game. Wish those two touchdowns would not have been called back. I guess the turnovers balance that out a bit though. Best of luck to you guys against Lincoln Co. next week.
  22. The publics in those quads and particularly Quad 3 are punished just like the private schools. That was part of my original point. They just happen to have been out of luck. Also remember the powers of 2A outside of private schools in the last decade or so are out West or out East and they don't have to suffer through thos quads.
