Also want to pass along, that WLIJ AM 1580 in Shelbyville will again broadcast all SCHS Golden Eagle football games. As in past years for those that are not within listening range of the station they may join up at http://shelbyvillefootball.com. I have been told that this website and station will carry them all. I don't know the Eagle schedule, but know they travel to Coffee County to open the season on August 22. Good luck to everyone on a great football season!

Can anyone tell me what station carries the Bradley Central Basketball games. Seems like there is two stations around the area. Just can't remember which one is all Bradley. Thanks!

Tonight at 6:30 the class AAA number one team in the state Wilson Central puts their ranking on the line against rival Shelbyville Central High School Golden Eaglettes. Should be a great game. Wilson Central won the first meeting by one point at SCHS. Boys game should be a good one as well, they have split two games so far this year. What do you think about this game?

You can also hear the game on shelbyvilleeaglettes.com. I think I heard someone say they are going. So it will be on WLIJ in Shelbyville, and will also be on the internet.

No the boy's first round of the region will Saturday night at 7:00pm. The girls will play Friday night at 7:00pm. Both of these games for Shelbyville will be at home.

Both of these web sites will carry the games. Pregame will begin probably around 6:15. They usually start 15 minutes before tip-off. Just wanted to let those of you know that will not be able to make the trip. Also I want to thank them for doing these broadcasts all year long, I'm sure it is a lot of hard work. Good luck to all.

It appears that Giles County was going to wind up having four games this week and decided to cancel the ones with Shelbyville. that's Ashleigh Newman, and neither one of these girls guarded Brooks. It was Tabatha Almader and Samantha Houston that guarded Brooks. BTW they did a great job against a very, very talented Sha Brooks.

First, let me say flemtone never said anything about winning by twenty points next year, he said this year. Now on to the main reason for this post, I find it rather amusing that this afternoon all we heard was why are the Shelbyville fans so quiet, why are they not on here saying anything. As us listeners were told it was because Shelbyville was scared and was going to get beat. Now that the game is over all we hear about is how white county got beat because they have only hometown girls playing for them, and the only reason that Shelbyville won is because everyone is not hometown. one team wore white shoes and the other wore blue shoes. one team wore white jerseys the other wore maroon jerseys. All of this is irrelevant, it's over. Can the winners not say good game and look forward to playing you again next year, and the can the losers not say good game and look forward to playing you next year, and good luck in the tournament. In the words of the immortal Julius Irving----win without bragging and lose without crying. let's show some class people, we are all supporters of girls basketball in the state of tennessee, which personally i feel has the best basketball in the nation. This is not directed towards anyone in particularly, but it seems like anytime Shelbyville gets into the tournaments it's nothing but bash, bash, bash. and i just wonder what Shelbyville did to you. i don't write this to offend, just to be like everyone else and voice my opinion. Hey Jim, I wanted to pass some information along to you. I don't know if it matters or not, but the bracket that I have in hand shows Shelbyville in the top bracket for both boys and girls. The only reason it may matter is because of the semi's time at MTSU. Here is what I have, this came from SCHS. SCHS vs WC in first game, Blackman vs Lawrence in second game, Coffee Co. vs Oakland in third game and Cookeville vs Columbia in fourth game. Each team listed first is top team. Game one winner plays Game 2 winner Wednesday at 4:30. Three and four winners play Wednesday at 7:30. Championship is Thursday at 6:30. This is just for the girls. Now boys, game one is SCHS vs Riverdale, game two is Lebanon vs Columbia, game three is Lawrence Co. vs Oakland, and game four is Blackman vs FC. First team listed is top team. Winner of Game one and two plays Wednesday at 6:00, winners of three and four play Wednesday at 9:00pm. Championship is Thursday at 8:00. Like I said don't know if it matters just wanted to pass it along to you. Jim, thanks for all your hard work, I really appreciate it.
