  1. Yes Inappropriate all Alcoa's players didn't make the team at Maryville, since I'm assuming you must have thought they went there at some point in time. How many gold balls does your school have again? Redneck idoots...I swear we're surrounded by them.
  2. Graduated from Alcoa in 2006 and grew up through middle school and beyond with great players like Brandon Warren, Dustin Lindsey, Joei Fiegler, Martin White, Logan Love, etc.. and went to school and grew up with current NFL star Randall Cobb also some other Alcoa stars like Rae Sykes, Sam Thompson, Chase James, Tyler Robinson, Jaron Toney, the Tysons, Darrell Warren, Vee Hambrick the list goes on and on. My point is all of these names were/are all D1 caliber athletes that grew up in the Alcoa system and I've not seen anything close to any proof of these "recruiting" allegations that are perpetually brought up by uninformed morons each and every year after Alcoa beats or is about to beat their team. Do you idiots really think the Alcoa posters on CoachT are really admitting Alcoa recruits? Seriously? Or do you think it might be because they're toying with you because so many sore losers have been quick to pull the recruiting card over the last ten years after we beat them? People that make up allegations like that are a joke so don't be surprised if some Alcoa fans treat you like it. It's been ten years or so of accusations and I'm still waiting to see video, paperwork, statements basically anything that shows where Alcoa has recruited.
  3. I think Alcoa will basically stroll to Cookeville and I ultimately think they'll get a CPA team that faces a couple tests from the west side of the bracket. My money would be on the Tornadoes but I think CPA gives them a good battle.
  4. Not even remotely a Fulton fan but the Falcons will put the mercy rule on Greeneville, but there's only a select few in the state they wouldn't. They have not had anything close to a challenge this year and that won't change in the playoffs.
  5. I have to agree with what GoddardField, bigtornado, and Deion24 are saying.. I've been a poster on here for 8 years or so and during that span I've always been fairly active on CoachT. But, over the past couple of years almost everytime I read an Alcoa thread I see a lot of Alcoa fans I presume to be grown men degrading most of the teams we play, posting borderline stupid pictures (ALL THE TIME), or just basically finding anything to get an argument with anyone over, especially if another team, heaven forbid, has confidence in their team playing us close or beating us. It's getting ridiculous, there's just so much childish behavior that goes on in here, when really this forum is meant for talking football and competitive, but respective, banter...at least I'm sure that's what our good friend CoachT himself would like to see. With that being said, I expect us to get tested early on but I think we'll be too much for Goodpasture too handle, and we'll end up wearing them down in the latter stages of the game. It's just hard for a team to take 4 quarters of pounding from Taharin and Darrell, doesn't matter what team you have. Alcoa 42 Goodpasture 21
  6. scots might've just became my new favorite person
  7. We should be pretty set for the next couple years. We'll return three O-lineman plus our TE a talented receiver and our RB who was recently the MVP of the Maryville game. On defense we'll be set at DT, LB, and DB, I'm a little worried about the DE position and we'll need to develop a QB I'd say, but I'm confident we can. Our sophomore class is pretty talented to answer you're question as well. Anyway we're focused on that seventh one for now, I can probably give you a better answer in December
  8. Speaking of GA football my dream match would be vs. Calhoun HS, Georgia's reigning 3A champs....if anyone thinks they would "murder" Alcoa is outside their darn mind!
  9. Of course I'm not gonna go against my Tornadoes in this contest, but I have a feeling this will be a great game, and there will be points scored Alcoa- 34 Maryville- 31 Pretty good prediction, eh? GOOOO TORNADOES, and of course from here on out go Rebs!!
  10. To answer your question MHS the thing I'm still a little worried about is our O-line. Granted we had some very nice runs last week albeit it was against poor competition, however our O-line looked a little shaky at times in my opinion. I am confident that as the year goes on they'll develop very well, but they will be tested in this week one matchup. Besides that we looked great last week. The matchup to watch will be the Maryville O-line v. the Alcoa D-line, just hate we'll be without McGlothlin. QB- Robinette is super talented but untested, Tallent is a warrior and has been battle tested who has developed a good throwing arm. Advantage: ALCOA RB- It's not hard to tell that Alcoa has one of the best backfields in the state. Advantage: ALCOA WR- Maryville's got three very good, experienced receivers. Tall, fast, and great hands. Alcoa has one of the best wideouts around and another great talent in Warfield, but we are not as deep as Maryville at that position. Advantage: MARYVILLE OL- Maryville's O-line is just like ours last year..huge and experienced, throw in the best O-line coach in the state and this line should be dominant this year. I'm sure this will be one of Coach Ellis' best lines he's ever coached. We have a good line but Maryville's will be great. Advantage: MARYVILLE DL- We have a great D-line, but losing McGlothlin really hurts..bad. I believe this is a position Maryville might be a little thin and inexperienced at. Hopefully Darrell can live in the backfield once again this year. Advantage: ALCOA LB- We have talent at backer, but once again losing all three senior backers from last year hurts. Having Darrell and Taharin in the middle could be scary for any RB, but Maryville has all three back and they are hard-hitting and smart. Advantage: MARYVILLE DB- We return 3 of 4 starters in our secondary, but they will definitely be tested in this game. The same goes for Maryville, they return starters and they will be tested as well. Advantage: EVEN K- Castro is a very solid kicker, but Maryville has one of the best kickers in the southeast. Advantage: MARYVILLE Of course I'm not gonna go against my Tornadoes in this contest, but I have a feeling this will be a great game, and there will be points scored Alcoa- 34 Maryville- 31
  11. From one rival to the other, i couldn't have said it better myself.
  12. Could anyone tell me who stood out in the scrimmage?
  13. You're exactly right 72, couldn't have said it any better. We got a lot of senior experience on offense in the backfield (Tyson- FB, Warren- TB, and Tallent at QB), also at receiver (6'4 Isom), and a stalwart in Derek Evans on the line. Our D-line and secondary should be senior laden as well with Warren and Jonivan Henry on the ends and big Tyler McGlothlin plugging up the middle, we're very young and inexperienced at linebacker but there's talent there, but we have seniors Isom and Tallent at CB and S respectively.
  14. RR- I don't believe I'm that Tom you're thinking of, but if there is a Tom at your church who is an Alcoa fan he must be a good man! haha
  15. Man all I did was ask a question my fellow Alcoa fans, not you, would be able to answer. I believe it's a pretty legit question, and I'm sure most will agree with me. You; however, want to come onto an ALCOA THREAD and say that we fans invade not just our own threads but every other as well?? Please show me where we're in another topic that doesn't have something to do with Alcoa football were us fans basically take it over and say Alcoa is unbeatable and on another level from anyone else, please show me where a fan has said that, PLEASE. The only threads Alcoa related I'm aware of are this one, one about a recent scrimmage, Derek Evans signing with VMI, one about our chances of winning again this year, and one fan (not an Alcoa fan mind you) that says we need to play out of state teams...that's it. Do us a favor and don't read our threads if it strikes a major nerve with or just keep being a hater...we really don't care if you dislike our program.
  16. I have been wondering for a while now how Alcoa's streak of six straight state championships compares to schools from other states currently. I know some years back De La Salle and Independence had close to ten straight, but are there any others ayone knows about who hold streaks like the mighty Tornadoes?
  17. Any Alcoa fans have any info on the scrimmage? Who looked good, what needs improvement, etc..
  18. QB- Tallent FB- Tyson RB- Hambrick, Koko WR- Isom WR- Warfield TE- Mangum OT- Manuel OG- Evans C- Rankin OG- Stephens OT- ? DE- Warren DT- McGlothlin DT- Tate DE- Henry LB- Wheeler LB- Crenshaw LB- Chapman, Tyson LB- Koko DB- Isom DB- Tallent DB- Hambrick K- Castro
  19. Well, it's about been about 6 hours since the mighty Tornadoes won their 6th straight championship so what better time to start talkin about 2010? What are some thoughts on next years squad? Who's going to step up? Will there be any dropoff from this year? Can Vee step up and do his best to repalce Mr. 50 TD's? How do we go about replacing all starting LB's? And, will our QB's and WR's step up? Let's get it started.
  20. Very true...but I'd assume Jaron was just fine getting laid out one time (it happens to every great player, i.e. Tim Tebow vs. Kentucky, Eric Berry vs. Knowshon Moreno), so what?? He came out of the game with 100 yards, an MVP trophy, and the always-important gold ball. I'm sure Jaron will get the ball in the red zone plenty of times come next Friday.
  21. Those are very impressive numbers, definitely good enough to win, but I wouldn't venture to say he deserves the award hands down....we have a pretty good RB who's put up fairly decent numbers this year too
  22. Yes Loudon played a great game against us, but there is still no way they would beat us if they had more depth. If we want to make the argument of players playing both ways, then we have to say Alcoa doesnt have the depth either really because like Loudon we have 5 players playing both ways. Look Loudon is a good team with a good defense, but I can't ever see Loudon, who has been shut out 5 out of the last 8 contests against Alcoa ever scoring more points than us.
  23. Total yards: Alcoa-423 Betsy-88 Domination....
