Anyone out there who believes that the players or the coaches at LA aren't playing or coaching with heart, are just plain ignorant. Why would a player or coach go through the rigors of football and not want to win or even compete. For people to imply that they do not care is ridiculous. The coaching staff at LA is a great bunch of guys who are in it for the kids. The kids and the coaches can only try their best. If that isn't good enough for you armchair quarterbacks, then the heck with you. You were probably a "want to be" or better yet a "never was". RC you are the players best fan and I appreciate that, but you shouldn't let SCG07 get to you; I am sure he was a "never was". I don't know who you meant he could help, but I doubt anyone would want his help. Most of the people on here are just like the Brad Paisley song "Online"; they are hiding behind the screen and really don't have a clue. RC keep working those boys and best of luck to you. I didn't know players got to hire their coach. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone got the opportunity to hire their boss. I bet everyone would pick the guy that would make us work our tails off and keep us in line. If this was the way it worked Donald Trump would probably be working for Goodwill instead of firing people and making money. I sure would like to work for my best friend. But I bet he wouldn't want his best friend working under him. He likes making money. If the players hire the coach who runs the team???

If it is that easy, save the money and let the players just run last years plays. Doesn't sound like the new coach will have much input anyway. Sounds like a figure head to me. All this talk about getting someone with experience doesn't make sense. Sounds like all he needs to be able to do is read a playbook. Where is the fun in that. Whoever the new coach is...GOOD LUCK!

What is the big deal about the wing-t? Anyone who can read can get all the base plays. The wing-t was invented for teams to be able to have a set group of formations and plays. This lets you use angles with smaller lineman and misdirection to help an average backfield with limited speed. Almost everyone who uses the wing-t runs the same plays. Only a few can add a wrinkle. A good back is wasted in the wing-t because he can only run to one side of the formation. Just an opinion but a coach should be picked on things other than what offense or defense he runs.

The cutoff is April 1. If he turns 12 before then he will play jr wildcats. The only way to still play outlaws and be 12 is if you are going to be in the sixth grade.

If all this is true, then Clay County High School must really not be serious about a program that is online with the times. They must be happy with just having a team. Clay Co could be a contender in single A year in and year out. They have more than enough athletes to have a better record than 0-10,1-9, or 2-8.

Whoever the coach is needs to be hired for the program not just what is the easiest hire. Credentials and experience should be looked at as well as past performance and achievements. Everyone thinks that anyone can do this job. Truth is they must be well rounded in order to run a program: public relations, finances, academics, teachers, knowledge of the game on both sides of the ball, and the willingness to give everything they have to make young men better in life You can't just worry about them on the football field. The final thing is that you can't worry or count on the right things to happen, or be done; you just have to do what you think and feel is correct in the best interest of these young men and stick to your morals. Everyone has different ideas on how things should work, but anything is possible if the correct thing is wanted. Good luck to whoever is chosen. You may think that people are out to get you. They are the minority; they are just the loudest.
