  1. Reynolds can't play the perimeter. crowe doesn't have the footwork and dribbling skills. Suiter and Cassada will need a couple of more years. Cleveland will win Region next year and the road team that goes to District 8 will lose. Bradley is two years away from state. Not only that but Harlow is running all the talent off to Walker Valley and Cleveland. He's destroying the program. Once Jackson graduates, he'll darken the door!
  2. Justin and Kellen just don't have the size! If you think Kellen is a good basketball player...you should see him play baseball! Justin's older brother Josh was a excellent player, but he lacked the quickness for his size. Justin could be low end SEC. I'd like to see him play at UTC. Josh is Pre-med so he is academically more involved that athletically. Not to take away the fact that he is performing well at Samford. These two have to get bigger, stronger, and faster to perform at D 1-A. There is plenty of time for some teams to pick them up. I think Wes Suiter will go to Tennessee Tech. His father went there and with the current coaching staff in place, he looks to fit in the system!
  3. I always in my heart knew that people from Cleveland high just aren't right in the head! You prove that theory..Thanks!
  4. Oak Ridge and Shelbyville! Flip a coin...I'll take shelbyville by 1/2 point!
  5. I believe when I see it. Jackson is a double a dynasty. Good coaching, good players, good community...all other coaches should envy this program...even those with alot of state championships and recruiting acusations.
  6. Chris and John do one thing well for Mt. Juliet. They slow the game down. It won't be high scoring. It will be what a real game is suppose to be. Two teams that run plays to perfection...using screens..crisp passes....the whole nine yards. I'm a firm believer in experience. Mt. Juliet's time will come. Just this year I thing that Shelbyville is the team to beat. as much as I'd like to see Chris and John take the Lady Bears to the finals...I just don't see it happening this year. Shelbyville by 9 Insell's AAU All-stars 59 The future 50
  7. McMinn County has lived off the press during the post season. Most teams that they have beaten have faltured in this aspect of the game. Beech is a small team that should be able to handle the pressure. Take away the press and McMinn becomes mediocre. Beech by 7 Dennis' Beeches 52 McMinn County's last chance at state for awhile 45
  8. Your at the Temple, baby! Even God the Almighty is against you! Temple by 20 or more! Skogen is the man! Teams key on him, but still can't stop him! That 3 and a half hour ride will make it even worse! The trip back...well I'm sure that will be even worse with that big L on your shoulders!
  9. Same answer as lbl! Moore is going to state and FRA well I'm sure they will have a nice place in the stands. FRA ought to worry about baseball and softball. Sorry, but your season is over!
  10. They will in the upcoming weeks!
  11. McMinn central by 50 Johnnie takes no game lightly!
  12. Good point iamoz! All the basketball finalists are well deserving. The coaches vote for Miss Basketball. We get a form that has us pick from three in each classification. When I pick my Miss Basketball candidates I look for girls that can take over ballgames, girls that I know I'll have to double team just to have a chance. Narrowing the list down to three is extremely difficult. I think one of the problems with Rowsey is that the area is not full of schools. Like in Chattanooga you have 20 schools that have a chance to vote whereas a rural west Tennessee County school is the only school for alot of miles. This is only my opinion. Some of the past winners like Jackson, Gist, Wilson and others, you had to key on them to get a victory. I don't know exactly why Rowsey wasn't picked, but I know for a fact that she just didn't get enough votes and there are alot of girls that I believe should be in Memphis next Thursday. Media coverage also may be a big reason. The Chattanooga area covers preps very well. There are alot of reasons, but I tell you what..I bet you a buffalo nickel that Miss Rowsey will be on the roster for the TN-GA all-star game and the AP All-State team. Good luck to her in the state playoffs and her college career at GA!
  13. Wow! Who would have thought this! Looks like AAA State is going to be a hoot this year!
  14. You better just worry about Central...Bradley will dish out the pain in time!
  15. Not quite so fast. I'm banking on Bradley and Cleveland. No upsets in Region 3 boys. You guys just better find another region. McMinn over Cleveland??? Did happy hour start a little early for you? Maybe next year....or the next...or maybe the next after Little is graduated!
  16. Katrina has my pick for Miss Basketball! I was saying that 2 years ago. Maybe even this year she'll win! who knows!! [Edited by HUCK on 3-4-03 3:24P]

  18. That's a pretty good question? Do they even have any?
  19. The right way? Their is no set way. I was a student assistant for three years at 2 different places. The main thing is to develop a philosophy...then find a coach that accomodates that! I've been around three different coaches, each one of them is totally different. I learned alot. My mentor won 1217 games in High School. I use to sit and LISTEN to him for hours. Hopefully I'll be taking a head coaching position in the Chattanooga area next year. Make the Certification first priority. Read manuals on coaching. I usually go to ball games and steal plays..or borrow them. I developed my philosophy of many coaches and being a student of the game was first priority. Good Luck in your future!
  20. Good one path88! I wonder what would happen even if Cleveland would finally win. Won't it be funny if BCHS and Cleveland advance to the state tourney and Cleveland draws Whitestation! So many possiblities..I'm suppose to be thinking about my classes not basketball. But it is hard not to because the rivalry has intensified due to Coach Green. The only bad thing is I guess it is going to stink to be a coke machine in the Cleveland locker room Friday night.
  21. Crabtree or no crabtree...Cookeville roles, but not like that Shelbyville slap in the face! Cookeville 66 Crabtree's fall apart Lady Rebs 44 [Edited by HUCK on 3-3-03 11:33A]
