  1. I know CPA should beat them by 20 if they show up.
  2. If Grace plays like they did today or the other time I watched them, CPA will win by 15-25 points. If they step it up and play their best game of the season, I might see it being close. Hard to doubt a CPA team who handled that "underrated" Rockwood team like small, frightened schoolboys. The Temple/Halls winner will be CPA in the championship game. I'll wait and make my prediction for how much they will win by when i find out their opponent.
  3. Hey, if my team won 20+ games playing softies and had to meet some good competition for the first time at state, I'd be mad too. Maybe teams like Rockwood should work on scheduling or something, because from what i saw today, they had no idea what was coming. CPA showed every reason today why they are the team to beat and the dominant team in 1A at this point. After the first quarter Greenfield looked about doo-doo (someone please tell me how Brandon Shane is up for Mr. Basketball......oh wait, must be the averages against the "teams" they played), and Grace did a good job to win hang around and win it at the end but will not remotely challenge CPA if they don't play at least 5 times better. An overconfident FRA team let Unaka stay in the game and even have the lead a lot of the time, and in the end it caught up to them (even though they got bailed out by some panicky bad plays by Unaka). Sadly enough I wasn't able to stay for the last 1A game, but I would be pretty confident in saying the Temple/Halls winner will advance past Unaka, who seemed to not be all that great of a team. Who knows, maybe my standards are set to high from watching Region 5 all year. Good luck to the remaining teams, and may the best team (CPA) win.
  4. NCS would definitely give them a run though.
  5. you dont think Charlie Anderson is good enough to make the list? No way. 900+ career wins and a JC National Championship is nothing! Not only is Coach Anderson one of the best (if not the best) in Davidson, he's also likely one of the best in the state. Well, not likely, he is.
  6. Sounds like somebody hit a nerve....
  7. Wow. Does it cost extra to see the fight to the death or does that come with the ticket?
  8. I'll take a minute here to pat myself on the back, as I type about 80 words a minute. That is quite the accomplishment on my part. One might even say you don't deserve to be on the same thread as me.....
  9. I bet that will be the final after 19 OT's too, right???
  10. A. You lead a sad life to have taken all that time to post that in hopes to make me look bad. B. Things on the bandwagon are great. I'm quite comfortable, thank you.
  11. Finally something i can agree with there. I'm not sure whether or not I'll be able to find a way up to the game. I don't understand why you're so angry. I don't think I've ever said anything about being a "big man", but if you'd like to grab a cup of joe at the game and talk Rockwood basketball that sounds nice. Calm down, and be glad your team is still in it. My team is NCS, where i go to school. They lost to CPA in the regional semis, a loss I am by no means ashamed of. Having said that, I'm now generally supporting the 2 teams from region 5 that have advanced, FRA and CPA (especially CPA who put my team out). I am friends with a few guys from CPA so that's another thing. Sorry if my support or comments are offensive. At this point, this all doesn't mean much to me that much. Thanks for calling me out though.
  12. I am no expert, but i can tell you that I've heard enough from Rockwood fans about how sad it is they're underrated and overlooked. You're in the state tourney. Be confident, not whiney.
  13. Funny except for the 9/11 analogy, but i can understand. Sounds like FRA fans really got a lot of abuse at Summertown. Sorry to hear it couldn't have been more like at CPA. GO PANTHERS!
  14. A bit to cocky there arn't ya? I'll change what I said..Rockwood does have everyone who hates the Private Schools cheering for them, don't get me wrong I don't hate Private schools...I am just for changing the system around. Not cocky, just confident.
  15. I wish this thread would too. A bunch of if's, but's, and couldashouldawoulda's. Main point: FRA advances.
  16. I'd have to agree. Hopefully I'll be able to make it out.
  17. I think Brewer will do well at UF. From what I've heard, he's the real deal and when he's on his game, there is no telling what he can do. Hopefully he'll help them out and get some playing time, since I never got to see him play here. By the way, the ACC is the best conf. in college ball.
  18. CPA over Rockwood (aww poor underdogs ) Greenfield over Grace FRA over Unaka Halls over Temple CPA over Greenfield Halls over FRA CPA over Halls
  19. You must have spent hours sitting behind your monitor coming up with that personal attack in a situation that you were not even involved in. I've noticed every single one of your posts is like that actually. Hey, I wouldn't like it either if I thought my team was good and they got ran in sub-state by a private school. The teams and fans both behaved themselves and showed good sportsmanship during the game. I hate to break it to you mach, but you're going to have a hard time hurting my feelings with all of your smart comments and jabs. Attack me all you want. Either way, Wayne Co. didn't have a player that could've started at CPA and did good to lose by 16. CPA LIONS ALL THE WAY BAYBEEEEEE!!!
  20. Grace WILL NOT win by anywhere near that margin, if at all, and judging by the # of games you have predicted to go 4 OT's (??), your predictions are a joke. Either team will do good to make it a game.
  21. You think wrong there bud. I don't know about everybody else but the only thing I've heard Rockwood fans talk about is how they're the underdog and nobody wants/expects them to win. Nobody really cares who was the underdog and who was supposed to win before now. All that matters at this point is who is here, and how they are playing. CPA by no means is ready to take the fall. I would worry less about this being a private/public game than i would a week region/strong region matchup. With the competition CPA has faced, they're ready for anything. Don't know that i can say the same for Rockwood.
  22. I think that pretty much sums it all up coasterboarder. Doesn't exactly sound "coherent" as you would say, but hey, whatever makes you feel better. Here's one: If NCS had hit all their 3's they threw up when the CPA defenders were an inch from their face, and shot like they did in the regular season, and not gotten down early, then they would've won their game. Sorry, just isn't logical.
  23. It's not my fault I know more about basketball statewide than you do. I don't really want to argue with Wayne Co. fans, considering their team is no longer in contention (and mine hasn't been, but of course thats because of the teams we play, as opposed to playing teams in 11A or 12A). Wayne Co. won their district and placed 2nd in regions and from what i saw, had about 2 players that were able to compete effectively at all against CPA (actually it was just #12 who was very good). I truly am sorry you are dumber for reading my post. Being from Wayne Co., you must really have some problems now.
  24. I don't know if you knew this, but they don't exactly feed the players super-food or give them special shots to make them great at gametime or anything. They're basketball players just like the guys at Wayne Co., they just happen to be better. CPA has everything it takes to win it all. They just have to stay consistent. Wayne Co. would've been lucky to make it out of the District 9A tourney.
