Cumberland won big against Walker Valley tonight, Split with them this year, Cumberland has the lead for district regular season. Go Jets!!!!!

Sure wish someone would list the entire all tournament team.

I agree that most starting pitchers get enough practice during the week with the team to stay in shape--- but most of the best pitchers will take a private instruction lesson with a pitching coach to avoid bad habits and perfect their form. Most High School coaches are not trained in pitching enough to develop a great Rise, Screw or Curve. Club K or Private lessons are needed.

Great tryout!!!, 20 top girls from Middle and East Tn showed up. This team should be headed for the Nationals again this year

Crossville has not played yet so they may still be looking to use different players in different positions to try them out. (Play days are designed for this) --- I look for Karns to be strong I think they have played in another play day and finished strong.

Bradley was tough last year, did they lose many starters?

Cumberland Co lost middle infield due to graduation, but has district co mvp Lauren Brown back to pitch. Look for them to be in the hunt for district championship again.

The Georgia Elite looked strong and were still in the winners bracket when we were eliminated late Sat night. Playing 18 Gold. Good showing in 18u, 29 teams --(22 in 18u and 7 in 18Gold), i had not realized there were 29 teams playing 18 under in this area.

District 5AAA tournament update, Cumberland Co 3-Bradley Central 2, in winners bracket game just finished. Winner of Loser bracket game, thumb Cleveland over Rhea. Thursday games---- Bradley Central vs Cleveland, winner to play Cumberland in championship game

game was suspended because of rain . To be completed on Wed of next week (I think) Bledsoe is up 1-0 Bottom of the 5th cumberland Co has runners on 1st and 2nd no one out-------great game to that point

Cumberland Co lost 2 pitchers that signed college. has sophomore that has potential to be better than both. Time will tell. Rhea is the team to beat this year

Good question, I called NCAA at 317-917-6222 to get the answer. If the student is paid the going rate and the university that she attends did not help in job placement then it is allowed. I have a daughter that has an opportunity to teach this summer and wanted to know for myself. Best to call in every situation to be sure. (ps) there was a rule change in the last few years, it was not allowed a few years ago---per NCAA
