That's great, I heard that she had but was waiting for verification. I believe Regan Thompson(Oak Ridge) also committed to Furman over the weekend. It's going to fun to watch these girls play in conference.

Deacon With all due respect, you are perpetuating this ???recruiting??? scenario by trying to defend the decision your family made three years ago. I??™ll admit that I found it disturbing that students, and yes they are students first, that should have attended Lebanon High School, suddenly were going to the relatively new Wilson Central High School, but as evidenced by the lack of any official allegations or punishment, the transfer was within the rules. The decision was made and you shouldn??™t feel that you need to defend it. Our daughters has played/practiced against and with each other since they were 12. I??™ve always felt that has made Erin a better player and hopefully it has benefited Jasmine as well. Jasmine certainly has a bright future ahead of her, and after watching Ieshia this weekend, you should be very proud of both girls. Hind site is a great thing; I wonder what Coach Brown could do with your daughters and Wasson at Lebanon after his success this year. In the long run, this is irrelevant, in other words, don??™t sweat the small stuff.

Not wanting to dampen the late season enthusiasm, but the above was taken from the 7AAA thread back in October. At least one of us outside of Lebanon felt that they were being overlooked as a contender for the district title. They didn't get the regular season title, but they are still playing, which is more meaningful. I wish Cookeville had not lost to Lebanon in the first round of the district tournament, but i will certainly pull for them as they continue through the regions and hopefully the state tournment. It will be a tough task to come away from Shelbyville with a win, but short of a win, the team needs be proud of their effort and your season as a whole!

Based on a thread several weeks ago, I think "he" might be a she. I, along with many of my friends have tried to put an actual name with ptguard12, but have been unable to pin it down. It would seem that she/he is from southwestern middle and maybe the east side of western TN and maybe more A and AA than AAA, but wherever she/he calls home, they seem to be very knowledgeable about highschool girls basketball statewide as well as summer travel ball.

Kudos to Lebanon, they took full advantage of playing at home during the tournament. They lost the previous 4 away games by an average of 18 points. I fully expect them to take Lincoln Co at home as well. Lets just hope that they take care of business tonight and Cookeville as well so that they came meet again on a neutral court in Shelbyville. Riverdale should handle Franklin County at home. siegel, has by far the toughest assignment at Shelbyville, but if Claire continues to play physical in the post, I think they can match up with the eaglettes can keep it close. As a side note concerning siegel and the player rotation during the Cookeville game, I spoke to another parent at halftime about this and we could only conclude that the stratagy was to save Faulkner and Wright for late in the game with fresh legs.

As I said a week ago in the 7AAA thread, Lebanon will not lose another game at home this year.

Will the Shebyville-Lawrence Co. be broadcast over the web? What time is the tipoff?

Congrats to Lebanon on a great win. The coaching change has obviously made a significant improvement in the girls play. Everyone in this district knew that Lebanon still had plenty of talent, even after the transfers to Wilson Central. If their last three home games are any indication, Lebanon will win the district tournament and their first game in the region.
