This discussion can only go downhill from here. There has already been much more publicity than this deserves. Did it really warrant the front page of the Tennessean? Laken's particitation in AAU and her work ethic will determine where she plays after highschool. She will certainly be a big part of any success that Jackson Co. has, but any college coach that might see her at the State Tournament already knows about her.

Sequatchie gave the bees all they wanted, the Indians matched up better than I expected. Their backcourt is very skilled.

Two very tough wins to get another chance, but if they get the opportunity, I think there is a better that 50% chance that they get a win against Riverdale on a neutral floor.

It's not going to happen...cost prohibitive and too many coaches would have to adjust their philosophy. I personally would like to see it implemented. When did the college men's game put the 10 second rule back in?

Jim I don't see any pattern in the region matchups when you compare classes. AAA has 7 vs 3 5 vs 8 1 vs 6 2 vs 4 AA 1 vs 3 2 vs 5 3 vs 8 4 vs 7 A 6 vs 8 7 vs 5 2 vs 4 1 vs 3 Is this just tradition or is strength considered and who makes the matchups? This year in AAA, the two finalists are on the same side. One more thing, why are the region finals not an elimination game? I think it's good but it appears to just add a game. Why not go double elim from there on out or not at all. thanks, just curious Jim

With two freshman being nominated, what does that say for the upperclassmen in A and AA.

As has been stated earlier, they are the obvious favorite even without the 2 strong transfers. If they don't take it, there should be hard questions.

Is Riverdale the only 7AAA you will cheer for?

Laken has not scored 1000 pts during her freshman year in highschool she has scored over 1000 pts during her highschool career in her case these are two separate issues If she is not Miss Basketball this year, she will be at least one and probably two of her next three years. Her name is Savanna Hill, but she is not the only talent they have. The Jefferies kid is very dangerous from long range. Lincoln Co. averages 56 ppg, Cookeville hold opponents to an average of 36 ppg. Cookeville's defense will determine the outcome. Gorgo, unless you are in Cookeville, you won't be able to listen. It's a local AM station with limited range. Progress has been made to broadcast all Cookeville sports over the net, we're not there yet, maybe next year.
