Ethan beat him 11-3 at the Ooltewah match. I'm thinking there was at least 1 stalling call against Harvey for fleeing the mat...the Invitational match was a litlle closer,4-1, but Hames was upset that Harvey didn't want to wrestle, so I don't think he feels that the Ooltewah kid gave him all he wanted. 4-1 and he cut him to give the 1 isn't a close match.

Just wanted to let you guys know that my brother Roger Southerland who went by the screen name Ru4mocs passed away very unexpectedly from a massive heart attack. He was a long time supporter for the UTC Mocs, mostly in basketball. However, Roger loved all sports and was a familar face at many local high school football and basketball games. He had in past years developed a keen interest in high school wrestling as he came many times to see his nephew compete. It was a little strange to see the UTC blue and gold there with the black and gold of the Bradley faithful, but he was there to give his support.

This seems like such a cruel and senseless thing to happen. Our sincere and deepest sympathies to the Miller family during this horrible thing. We are truly very sorry. Cyle and Tracy Hames Courtney and Ethan and the rest of the Bradley Wrestling Family although as I read back through this, condolences don't seem to be enough.... Our thoughts and prayers are with you guys and the rest of your family. Please let us know if there is anything we can do.

Really? I heard BCB's super-secret recruiting mission was taking him to Decater. LOL Those mountain boys are tuff! And if he manages to squeeze in a stop for dinner at Lee's Resturant on Hwy 58, he's in bonus land.

The only thing that gets roped off at the Bradley Invitational is the head tables. These are up in the bleachers on the left side as you enter the gym. (A good seat helps keep the table workers happy and happy table workers make for a smoother run tourny.) Now it is very true that most all of the Bradley parents and fans sit in this same section but it is in no way roped off or reserved for us. No one is giving you an excuse. The REASON I gave you is that for the last 2 years when Bradley was there we were all piled up in the wrestling arena. It was not a good situation for anybody. It is not a safe situation there with wrestlers and fans crowded up on the sidelines and I am fairly sure that they were over on fire code.

Sorry ooltewah did not mean to drag you into this discussion, just using as an example of a matter of which you had no control. My bad. Bradley wrestling would like to consider this theft problem dead and buried. Especially since it all happened TWO seasons ago and the only wrestler involved that is still on the team is not even eligible until the region.

Its not meant as a low level comment, it is just that everyone keeps bringing up an incident that was dealt with by every authority and is now past. Most of the wrestlers on this years team had no knowledge at all of anything going on and the ones that had any involvement have been punished. I was trying to give an example of how frustrating it is to keep having something brought up that has already been dealt with and that most of the team had no control over. I haven't seen any snakes or naked couples in our wrestling room anyway. How about yours?

What I really meant to say was that a few of the Ooltewah horses spent some time in the Ringgold pastures on an off night during football season and they weren't playing nicely with some of the Ridgeland ponies.

That's funny about blackman middle wrestling the bradley middle at pigeon forge tourny last year. Lake Forest(Bradley) was there and did get beat, but it wasn't blackman, it was a select sharpshooter team. I wasn't aware that blackman middle fielded a wrestling team yet. Lake Forest chalked up a win over an adjusted baylor line-up last season when alot of their regular guys were out sick. We saw both teams and while they were both very talented, I would have had to give the edge to baylor. Hawever, it is a stupid point, because it all happened last season. There are a bunch of guys out there that were extremely talented in middle school but never made the jump to the high school level. Everyone needs to keep working hard and improving and we will talk about last season in March! /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blush:" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

The main characters in this play don't seem to have any difficulty understanding it. I.E. David Mang and whoever is at 130 during the season before regions. If Mang was rehabing an injury and couldn't come back until then, no one would have a problem with having him wrestle off for the spot. Please let this topic die and let a young man get on with his life and put past mistakes behind him. Everyone makes mistakes and shouldn't have them hung about their neck for the rest of their lives. The boys on the team are okay with it, so should the rest of us be.

You know how these things are. The boys are still finishing up their halloween candy and taking it easy. We will just be lucky to fill out a full line-up.

I'm sitting here trying to think of the right way to say what I want and I don't know if this is exactly right, but here it goes. Guys, the bleachers are going to be emptier without you there. There are a bunch of home matches and road trips that would have been more boring without you all. I remember alot of kids club tournaments when we would stay so we could watch the "bigger boys" wrestle. (This was back when 7th and 8th graders seemed big!) Hunter, you've always taken the time to wrestle with E and show him moves. Maybe he doesn't understand to appreciate that yet, but his parents do. Thanks, and good luck. I don't really think that you will be able to stay completely away from wrestling like you think. Maybe at first, but when the weather starts to turn cold and the home matches get cranked up, we will be saving you a seat. The only recruitinig that Bradley does is being at the top year after year. The lure of a possible championship ring is a powerful incentive. With that said, the team wounldn't turn down a few quality upper weights......

Ok guys, its done. In my rush to get the post on this morning before putting the gang on the bus and getting myself off to work, I should have run spell check like the rest of you do. I'll admit that until this happened, I had never read that particular rule in the handbook. (You have to be pretty quick to get the Bradley County copy away from Coach Laxton. He is only comfortable with it in his back pocket. I'm not really upset anymore about what happened, just everyone's reaction to it. Yours, their's , and ours. I do believe there will be film crews out in force next season. Hope everybody likes it.

I don't know when you appointed yourself my teacher or correcter, but I'm a legal adult, so get off my case. I say this because you keep directing your posts at me. Saying that BCB doesn't coach his son is a joke. But the written rule about filming doesn't apply to parents. The Cleveland coach went up into the stands but the Bradley coach is the thug? Also a joke. Everybody wants to get on here and bash on Bradley and no one can stop you. Freedom of speech. The Bradley wrestlers, coaches and fans call themselves the Bradley Wrestling Family and we take it on the sensitive side when one of our own is misaligned.
