  1. Lake co had Ballard ky 66 to 30 after 3 quarters.JV played the 4th quarter and Score ended up 66 to 41.Ballard reurned kickoffs for long yardage. One a touchdown and another to the 2 yard line. Not going to give a lot of info.Overall some things to clean up but very pleased
  2. Lake Co. Should be a good year in Single A and have about 4 soph. starting this year .Were mostly freshmen last year. Could be a year away though.
  3. They were at McKenzie Sat but they played the last game .I saw every team except them. Saw one of the West Carrol coaches in front of me .I thought Dresden and McKenzie middle schools looked good.
  4. Are there any more teams participating?
  5. Anyway.Back to what we have at LC and high school ball
  6. Also a lot of that has been losing players to Dyer Co and Dyersburg.Dyersburg still has one stud that had he stayed at Lake Co ,I think Lzc would win State.Or at least be a contender.I hear the basketball coaches at Dyersburg got in his ear and he's not even playing football for Dyersburg this year.I'm hoping the Dyersburg,Dyer Co connection has come to a halt.
  7. I think LC is on the way back.Middle school looked good against Huntingdon.Lpoked to have about 20 players.Ali impressed with McKenzie Middle school and Dresden.I liked the Dresden QB who I heard was a 7th grader.Dresden looked to have about 50 players. So looks like some great battles to come.
  8. Looks like more talent on the way.Lake Co beat Huntingdon middle school 36-8 in the jamboree at McKenzie.Lake Co has several weapons on offense
  9. I think LC will be improved and hopefully better than I'm expecting but feel like they are a year away from really making a splash. I said in an earlier post that I may be a homer but was going to with LC this year simply because Dresden lost a lot from what I was reading .I kept seeing people saying they had guys got a lot of playing time because the starters were pulled early last year in games. But Dresden lost some studs. Just scrimmages and maybe Dresden coach is experimenting to see what he has. They very well could still be the team to beat though. By reading, looks like several teams has quite a bit of returning starters so could be an interesting year. Plus with Single A teams ,a key injury could also come into play.
  10. If the defense improves this year,I expect good things .I think LC will be able to move the ball with the running backs they have ,tight end is very good and the receiver looked pretty good the scrimmage I watched
  11. My Uncle kept telling me he bought a ticket and I told him what you said and Bobby Sharp also told me that jamborees wouldn't start until about the 11th.He called me last night and it was the middle school going to play Huntingdon at McKenzie .Paris Inman, Milan and some other are suppose to be there as well.So that's what it is..But let me know if anything else shake up .Thanks.
  12. OK Thanks. I had heard they were scrimmaging Huntingdon at McKenzie. Forgot to put that in there. Thanks for finding out. We were planning on going to Paris to visit relatives and stop by.
  13. Hear Lake Co is scrimmaging on the 5th at McKenzie.
  14. Ok Wingman, What do the Halls kitty cats have returning?Stirring the pot early.
  15. So like u said,. Lets get ready for some football and some Halls Tigers.
  16. Just because it was brought up because he hadn't played at LC.That has nothing to do with this case. Its going to be a hardship because of what you said with his mother. But then again, anything involving the TSSAA can be complicated.I remember the pledge kid going to a private school years ago and his parents didn't have the money to send him his last year and he went to a public school,,Northside and couldn't play.I guess the TSSAA knew more about the family finances and didn't allow him to play...But that's also different than this.Just messing with TSAA can be tricky.
  17. I think the rule reads as long as he./she has no record at playing a certain sport at any school. When my son transferred I was told by athletic director he'd have to sit because a move wasn't being made.Since he was a sophomore he didn't play any sports at Dyer Co.I was told had he played any sports, hed have had to sit.But since he had no athletic record,he could play immediately. So I'm thinking since he has a football record at Dyersburg and probably baseball as well,he'd have to sit unless the TSSAA looks at it as a hardship with his mother transferring schools.
  18. Yes indeed. Too bad he has to sit this year in football .I know a player has to sit a year from athletics without making a move but didn't know maybe if it could maybe be considered a hardship with his mom transferring schools and becoming principal at Tiptonville.
  19. Well that's good news. I was around their house about 2 weeks ago and saw his Dad working in the back yard, Ask him about the rumours and he just smiled and said they didn't know yet .So if his mother has been named the principal at Margaret Newton, seems to be a no brainer .
  20. I hear a couple names floating around that some assume .Both have ties to Lake Co. I think they will start interviewing in a few weeks though.
